Ruler Foods is a discount grocery store that aims to provide everyday low prices on a wide range of basic grocery items. The stores feature a high concentration of corporate brand products in a low-cost environment. Customers are required to bag their own groceries and 'rent' shopping carts for 25 cents, which is then returned when the cart is replaced. This system helps to reduce the number of carts in the parking lot, preventing damage to customers' vehicles and saving them money. Ruler Foods is owned by the Kriger chain and is trying to compete with Aldi by offering a limited selection, lower everyday prices, and displaying products on case stacks and pallets. Customers can find great deals on dry goods, but the fresh food options may be overpriced. While some customers have shifted to shopping at Fresh Thyme for their organic and natural food needs, Ruler Foods is still a popular choice for those who want quality items at low prices without the hassle of searching for coupons. The stores are generally clean, and the employees are friendly, though there have been some issues with a bird problem in certain locations. The self-checkout process could be more efficient, and there have been reports of employees not addressing the bird issue in a timely manner. Overall, Ruler Foods provides a decent shopping experience for customers seeking affordable, quality groceries.
I wrote this a review a couple of days ago, but I think there was a technical glitch. My roommates and I come here to get our groceries and the prices are unbeatable! Whenever Jorden is working, the quality of our visits increase tenfold. He is so friendly and a great cashier!

Jorden, our cashier, makes our visit amazing every time. He is funny and I hope he gets his car fixed soon.
