After being told my clock needed major repairs, he was so knowedgeable and now my clock is working with only simple changes. I put his name and number inside the door of my clock and I will never need to call another clock repair. Very kind, courteous man.

We bought a clock there many years ago and it is still a cherished piece in our home. Quality merchandise and friendly service.

Super long lead times, but what do you expect when no one else fixes clocks? It's also proof that they are the ones to take your clocks to. Super fine folks that enjoy the craft that they're in.

An excellent place to get a good clock or an old clock repaired! As a matter of fact, one of the owners told me that people come here from out of state to get their clocks repaired. I believe him since a search for a clock repair shop comes up with very few listings. This is the second time I've brought my clock that I bought at a craft fair in Tucson to this shop. The first time was minor. Just stuck hands and there was no charge. This time I had them replace the movement altogether. They were able to salvage the original fancy hands so I am well pleased with their work. My sister, who lives in Mooresville, has a huge grandfather clock. Almost the entire cabinet is made out of glass along with the shelves. Moving it is cost prohibitive. House of Clocks will come out to service your grandfather clock if you have the need. They have been out to her house several times to service her clock and once were able to take a section of it back to their shop for repair. As you can see from my photos, they do have clocks for sale. Since I did not buy one this review addresses repair work only. Morgantown is only 15 minutes from the Martinsville Walmart via Hwy 252. There is plenty of free on-street angled parking available.

I inherited a Seth Thomas 1905 mantle clock which would only run for about 5 minutes before it stopped and the chime leather damper was so worn out it sounded like someone was beating a saucepan with a spoon. They cleaned the works and put a fresh plastic damper on the chime and 20 years later it is still working perfectly. Not cheap, but I am glad to have the mantle clock working now.

A quality repair, of a1890's German cuckoo clock. Fell off wall and needed wood repair. Very happy with results, would be a 5 start repair but backlog is too long.

Our friends needed service and parts for a grandfather clock that is over 50 years old. So, we stopped on our way to Brown County at this Father/Son owned and operated business in Morgantown. While the father helped our friends regarding how to identify the parts needed, my wife and I browsed the shop. It was filled with clocks large (grandfathers and cuckoos) and small (table and display case miniatures). In one case, there was a display of miniature clocks that had antique cars, kitchen products, an airplane, and an antique sewing machine. These clocks were just a few inches in size, but had a working clock strategically located to complement the design. My wife has become quite a wizard when it comes to sewing, so she was immediately drawn to the small sewing machine clock. Being a good husband who has learned to take a cue without too much prompting, I offered to buy the mini clock. The son who is a full partner in the business was very cordial and explained how to set the clock, how to change batteries, and made sure we knew they would be glad to change the battery for us if we were afraid of scratching the finish of the piece trying to get the back cover off. Good folks who are helpful and knowledgeable of their craft are waiting to help you here! Review #3149

Fascinating shop with examples of clocks from around the world owned and run by a more than knowledgeable couple. They installed a new movement into a clock my father built many years ago and have restored to me a part of my Dad. Invaluable. This is an heirloom to be kept in my family. Meticulous workmanship and teaching. Thank you.
