Some don’t really know how hard it is to to be your friend but also protect animals rights. Humane society’s can sometimes get a bad rep. But the ladies and gentlemen here have always been super helpful and caring I’m my opinion. Thanks for all that you do!

I had a major violation of the coding from the Humane Society in Mishawaka they are refusing to release our Pet from thier imprisonment. Anyone with City Code experience. They are claiming ownership because they pick the dog up Thursday and says Saturday is too late to retrieve her. And I need to adopt my dog from them. CODE ENFORCER!!!!!!!!
They have not at all easy to work with public concerns or dog care. With the reminder of thier ATHORITY they are Spading our puppy anyway. God will prevail thier hearts will answer to God !!!!!

Our dog was stolen from MN and dumped in Indiana. We had to drive 9 hours there and back to save him from euthanasia due to the person who surrendered him said he was aggressive, bad with kids and other dogs. The team here was amazing at St.Joseph County They really didn’t want to euthanasia him but had to in 48 hrs we worked together and they were very accommodating with us. They help save our dog and helped bring him home. They should never go unnoticed for the commendable jobs that they provide to these lost, forgotten or unwanted lil fur babies. Thank you for being amazing they go OVER AND BEYOND AND MORE for these Pets to be reunited or find a new loving home.

Well, I had some unfriendly neighbors call on my dog stating that he was barking and being aggressive towards people. He has never to my home. Ask me a few questions all I had to do was show my paperic. They were fast and friendly and the lady Ronda. That helped with the situation was very friendly. It definitely goes beyond her job to help every animal stay safe. And let the owners know what they need to do to keep to keep their dog up-to-date.
Thank you for your help with Michael Lewis. We love him. He is our Part of our family. Thanks again, sincerely Jack young and blue.

half the staff act like braindead robots and the other half are lovely. i definitely feel more inclined to adopt a dog bc they seem like they actually want us to adopt them. it literally looks like they’re hoarding cats and after asking to visit with them i was told that wasnt allowed unless i was looking to adopt? acting like a non profit when you literally have a fee for every. little. thing. is crazy. employees OBVIOUSLY dont care ab their jobs especially the fatties in the cat room. at least the people caring for the dogs know how to walk.

tried to visit the cats twice and was told BOTH TIMES that we werent allowed to actually go in and visit them just because we didnt intend on adopting. the explanation i got as to why we werent allowed to go in and pet the cats was "the cats are nervous/scared" but there were cats begging for attention as i walked by! what is the REAL reason people arent being allowed to visit and socialize with the cats?

I enjoy going & visiting the dogs & cats just to give them some kind of attention & kinda c what all they have! But I know there's just way too many homeless pets & not enough employees so that's my way of kinda helping these poor pets! M a huge animal person & believe in being a voice for them when I can??thank you

I went in here to see if one of their cats I seen online was indeed mine. They were so beyond not helpful, that I asked them if they were even trying to get these animals homes! One of the ladies just kept saying their catery was closed and that she didn’t know when it would be opened back up.
And no I was never able to see the cat in person, they decided for me that it wasn’t my cat by looking at my pictures. And then after all that I was still standing there persistent so then they decided to tell me that it couldn’t be my cat because it was surrendered to them by the owner themselves. So I just left….and will NEVER deal with that place again! Nothing but a bunch of lazy people who just want to sit there and deny people the right to look at animals to see if it could possibly be theirs.

Very poor counter service. Pretty much ignored our questions. Half the dogs showed quite a bit of aggression.
