We were in town for a funeral and the entire staff were so nice, accommodating, friendly and genuine. Rooms were clean and had good amenities. Thank you!

Home2 Suites are always a nice consistent place to stay. Always clean. This one is about 10 minutes from Notre Dame which is very convenient. Nice neighborhood with lots of restaurants and stores around. The staff was very nice. The only drawbacks I've found to Home2 Suites is their breakfasts and their bedding. The breakfasts are very sparse. Really just pre-prepared wrapped egg sandwiches, cereal and waffles. The egg sandwiches are just like store bought (Jimmy Dean, etc.). They're not that good. Now, the bedding. . . . every Home2 Suites I've stayed at uses something analogous to a mattress pad as a blanket. I've always thought that was bizarre.Having said that, I'd recommend it as I'd stay there again because of the convenience, nice neighborhood and nice rooms.

Overall, it was a nice room, comfortable beds, relatively quiet, and friendly staff. I would appreciate better cleanliness in the bathroom. There was some mold on the shower track, and since I'm paying almost $200 for one night, I expect the bathroom to be spotless. It would be nice if breakfast was available before 7 AM, even on a Saturday.

Screw this place. All rooms come with queen beds on website. Definitely not a queen in the actual room. Asked for a cleaning of bathroom. Did not get cleaned. Poor communication. Poor service. Take your business elsewhere.

Stayed here for work with a group of coworkers and service is terrible. I had my room cleaned twice in a row where they failed to restock both the body wash and shampoo. My coworkers tv didn’t work and was addressed for 5 days, with multiple reminders they still did nothing. The absolute topper for me was the day I opened the curtain for breakfast because as it often is, breakfast was late to start. I was getting my food and was accused by a front desk employee whom I just watched walk in the building came over and loudly accused me of trying to steal food. I’m not necessarily the most put together in the mornings but I certainly don’t think I deserved to be treated like a homeless person coming in off the street to steal food. “Hey Man!!!” “What is you doin comin up in here and takin my breakfast?” Real classy and well spoken!

I was ready to never stay at a Home2 property again after this week. I had a bad experience in Elkhart 2 weeks ago, and then had an even worse experience here in Mishawaka… until SOWANA stepped in and saved everything. I had a booking issue that I tried to fix when I checked in. The front desk was totally unhelpful when I got there and phone support for the 3rd party I booked with was hopeless after an hour of arguing. The hotel Sales coordinator was supposed to call me the next morning and never did. As a last chance, I went and talked to Sowana and she fixed everything! Not only was she able to keep us for a 4th night but she upgraded us to a double suite and comped it for us without asking! She took the end of a very stressful time for our family and made it one we’ll remember forever. She also convinced me to keep booking with Home2 in the future. @Home2, whatever you’re paying her, she needs a raise!

There's a front desk lady named Jennifer that never disappoints... She's very kind, gentle and super funny. She is extremely helpful and thoughtful. If it wasn't for her I wouldn't have had a pleasant experience. The hotel is great for people with best. Just not good for people who are sensitive to pet dander. Had I known in advance I wouldn't have stayed, but Jennifer made it worth while!

(Let me preface this by saying I stay in enough Hilton properties that they're a second home. I've been Diamond for most of a decade.)Here's why you do NOT want to stay at this hotel. I was driving last night at 11 pm from a very long trip home, visiting a family member with a broken hip. There weren't a lot of hotels in the area, we settled on Home 2 Suites and booked a room on the app. Nothing out of the ordinary here, we are business travelers. We show up at 12:15 and are greeted by a particularly unpleasant woman at the front desk. We share our last name and let her know we booked a room a little over an hour ago. She says "We're doing our nightly accounting, you won't be able to get to your room for at least 30 minutes." She was incredibly unhelpful and rude. She made zero effort to help us find alternate accommodations in town, she simply said go sit on the couch and wait, or you can leave.I looked down at the app on my phone and she cancelled our reservation! Yes that's right, she straight up cancelled my reservation. When my guest and I POLITELY inquired why they would be doing their nightly accounting at 12:15 without preparing the room keys for the guests still arriving, she accused my elderly father and I of trying to intimidate her and asked us to leave the property! My dad is hard of hearing and didn't really understand what was going on, so I explained to him that she said we were raising our voices and trying to intimidate her (lol, we most certainly were not) he laughed and pointed up at the camera behind her and said "you realize this is all being recorded right?"We called Hilton and let them know that the woman working the desk was belligerant and offered us no help and we got a room up the road at the Doubletree, where a lovely helpful woman checked us in and it went perfectly. If this hotel has ANY interest in improving from being a complete train wreck, taking the "night manager" they had working and getting her as far away from public interaction would be a great place to start. The hotel looked very nice, it was a shame that an incompetent buffoon of a night shift manager ruined our experience before we could even check in.

I booked a week stay here for me and my son using points and money. I was already checked in and had my room assignment prior to my arrival. I initially indicated that we would arrive around 4pm but due to weather, we didn’t arrive until almost 7pm. No big deal as I was already checked in and had my room assignment. I arrived and go to the front desk to get the key cards to the room that I was ALREADY CHECKED INTO. The front desk person Jennifer, very nonchalantly, says that she doesn’t see my name in their system. This isn’t what you want to hear on a Saturday night after driving 1100 miles. Jennifer takes a few minutes and says, “Oh, I see. You were checked out because you didn’t show up.” I’ve been a Hilton Honors member for 14 years, a Diamond status member for 10 1/2 years, a Lifetime Diamond status member for 6 months, so I was 100% certain that she was lying to me. After going back and forth and listening to more lies, she finally says that she couldn’t help me because “you can’t be helped.” Luckily I was able to find a room in Elkhart 20 miles away. Now I have 40 mile round trips plus tolls to get to our scheduled events in Mishawaka.Basically, I was told that someone canceled my reservation to make room for a friend of the property manager Amber Endens. So armed with this information, I have called Monday 7/12, Tuesday 7/13, Wednesday 7/14 and Thursday 7/15 and Amber Endens is either not working, unavailable, no one can find her, or her phone goes to voicemail. To date, she still hasn’t returned my calls. Over 100k points and one nights charge are gone for a room that I never stepped foot into, and somehow Amber Endens thinks I’m just going to eventually go away. I had to open a case against the property with the Hilton Diamond desk services. Never in my life would I have expected this poor level of service from a Hilton property.

Would have been nice if the elevators were closer to the handicap room we were staying in, but other than that, this hotel has always been clean and the staff has always been friendly and always willing to help out.

This is one of my fave little gems of a hotel in great proximity to Notre Dame. Magdelana the breakfast lady is very exacting about presenting perfection at breakfast. She offers up a very good selection, and on some days she does those smoke sausages cut in little slant shapes the big fat ones that all the boys like. It's on a very busy strip, but they create a cozy little bubble that is more like an Inn than a big impersonal hotel, because of the friendliness of the staff, and the fact that they all seem to love doing all they do together and get on well. I often spend far to long chatting with Desiree, or Emily at the front desk because they are so nice, and so engaging, and I feel like I'm visiting them in a place they take absolute pride in delivering so well. The hotel is brand new, everything is delivered to the highest level of Hilton standard and I say this as someone who has stayed many times at this particular location. I can see some mixed reviews and they surprise me, because I am sure I have stayed more than ten times, and I have never had a bad experience in any way. When I come now, it's like coming to a warm team who know me and are welcoming, in an immaculate space that brings me peace to step into and feel taken care of, and it was a surprise for me also, to find this here. My absolute fave thing about this hotel is a weird anomaly, something with the architecture of the King Suit, means if you want to take an Epsom salt and CBD bath, you can lay in the bath and see the entire tv and watch it from the bath, with someone else laying on the bed and watching with you. It's brilliant! I always wonder if it was deliberate or accidental in the design. I've stayed in both facing different directions and can confirm, the watching TV from the bath is an option in both directions. Other things of note are the fire pit out back, also gives that lovely community feel when big Notre Dame events are happening, and they lay on a little reception on those evenings around five. The courtyard outside in back with the fire pit is very enclosed, It's an actual courtyard and nothing like sitting exposed to the street. A stone patio garden, with an area that has lots of grilling stations for you to cook out in one area, some tables and some arondeck chairs around the fire pit. It's not a huge space but it's really well presented and cozy, while being outside. If I was going to suggest one thing for the hotel it would be far more champagne twinkle lights in this space, but maybe I just like those, and it's the only thing I would change or add to the hotel if trying to improve. Other than missing twinkle lights from the courtyard, it's prrrrrrfect.

We have stayed here before and had a great experience but this time it was subpar. The pool was closed all weekend and we chose this hotel for having a pool. Also, the breakfast area ran out of dishes and food. We had to go back to our room to grab our dishes and silver ware. The tables were a mess and the trash was spilling onto the floor. Also the hotel lost water so we weren't able to flush our toilet and I never did get to shower. Plus I feel like we paid top dollar for subpar accomodations at $560 for 2 nights and couldn't even swim or shower.
