ScammedMy sales representative, Mike, was the one who sold me this car and I believe he intentionally misled me about the condition of the vehicle. Mike recommended a mechanic for a pre-purchase inspection, and the car passed the inspection. However, it was later found that the car should not have passed the inspection, and Mike recommended a negligent mechanic who failed to identify over 8k in damages. Keep in mind this for $7,000 car,When I reached out to Mike to address the issue, he stopped answering my calls. He avoided all contact with me father and I when asked for more context about the condition of the car.I am extremely disappointed with the service I received from Home Street Auto, and I believe that the dealership should be held accountable for their unethical practices.

Wow, I guess I should have read reviews before purchasing from this place. Not even 30 days after purchasing my car. It is completely broke down. Actually got stranded late at night all by myself. Called Mike to tell him that my car had issues and he said there’s nothing they can do about it. There is no way that they had this car checked before I purchased it. When I took it to an auto shop because I thought something was wrong with it they told me that there was no way they didn’t know about. It’s an old car, yes, but to sell someone a car that will need thousands of dollars of work done to it. 30 days later is absolutely unethical. I am a single mom, struggling to make ends meet Already, and now this. Unbelievable. I hope nobody purchases a car from you ever again

My Son & I were looking for a good used car lot since we had no luck at headers down the street we figured we’d try Home Street Auto Sales. The Car salesman was very friendly and helpful. He also had quite a few nice cars on his lot too. We test drove 2 cars but I guess we need to continue to look because neither car made me feel like I gotta buy this car feeling if that makes sense to anyone else. We shall continue to look but I plan on going back to Home Street Auto Sales when I see he has new cars on the lot.

Website inaccurate and gentleman inside is extremely rude. Offers in house financing on website but when you go in to inquire they give you attitude and treat you like you’re an idiot.

They don't stand by what they sell. When I approached them about problems after sale? They said "how do we know you didn't do something to the car?" Really?? You accuse clients of causing problems with their own car in order to get them fixed? That goes both ways cupcake. How do we know you didn't "doctor up" the vehicle just to sell it at over inflated price??Don't trust a used car dealership that employs its own mechanics. You bet they go over every car. Know every issue. And likely know how to hide those issues. They repainted parts of the car.The painter matched color perfectly. His technique was very good. But the prep people sucked! Found tape lines everywhere. They didn't properly block one area. Filler bulging.

Not even 6 months later I noticed some braking issues and the steering wheel was suddenly crooked. Took it to my mechanic. The entire subframe was almost completely rusted away. This doesn't happen in the short amount of time I owned the vehicle and was extremely dangerous to drive. There is no way they did not know this when they sold me the car. Learn from my mistake and have any car you are considering buying from them inspected. As they did not disclose this information to me. I learned the hard way and am very fortunate I didn't have an accident.

I bought a car there about 6 or 7 months ago. It has some issues before I bought it but they assured me it would be taken care of if I decided to purchase it. I took it to my personal mechanic and everything checked out. They did not do a full inspection due to Home Street telling me they were going to fix any issues before it was sold. (My mistake). The car was wonderful for several weeks after I bought it, but maybe 3 weeks into driving it, the check engine lights came on. The same lights they said were fixed. Since then, I've had nothing but major issues. Spending thousands of dollars to try and repair what they said was already repaired. All I can say is if you go there, PLEASE take it to your mechanic and do a FULL inspection before agreeing to anything. That was my mistake and now I'm in the same situation I was in before I bought this car. I would not go back there because they were not honest with me about everything and now I'm paying the price.

I bought my very first car here about 8/9 years ago and I had it for close to 7 years before I unfortunately got into an accident, so I trusted my instinct and came back as every other car dealership I went to PUSHED me and tried to talk me into cars that were junk, or take “money off to drive it off the lot” NO THANK YOU! I went back to home street auto and I absolutely LOVE my (new to me) Honda CR-V! Thank you Mike!!

Let's start out by stating that the owner has been doing this for years so we aren't the first ones he's done this to. If you're going to sell a car at least let people know what's wrong with it and if it needs something fixed let the client know before they purchase the vehicle. I had a cross member rear suspensio that was cracked within month and a half . I did not do this let alone could have caused this to happen . I was driving this car with my daughter in the back and they don't seem to give a rats ass(that should say something) let alone give you a paper stating no warranty . If you buy a new car you're getting a warranty but since it's used in getting it the way it is . No matter if the brakes are bad as long as it runs and starts it can sell .When I called mike to let him know they refused to fix it but instead gave me 400 dollars to get it fixed . Which would mean putting in more money than what I already have . Long story short DONT BUY FROM HERE!!!! The proof is in the pictures

My husband and I recently bought an SUV here, and the process was quick and painless. Mike was polite and professional and helped us out. We test drove the car on Saturday. Mike made it clear that he's not a mechanic but that he'd driven it and it seemed sound. We said we'd like to take it to our mechanic on Monday, and he encouraged us to do so. Again, he said it had no issues that he was aware of but that it's always a good idea to have someone look at it to be sure. Our mechanic got it in on Monday. He said it was a really nice vehicle and that a good used car is difficult to find, but we really won on this one. We took it straight back to Home Street Auto Sales and wrote a check. We could not be happier! It's a Honda with a lot of miles on it, but it seems to have been well cared for. We got a great price, and the process couldn't have been easier. Mike was transparent and never felt like he was trying to push us or sell us anything extra. We'd looked at several different vehicles at different dealers, and we're so happy we were patient and found our SUV. Do your due diligence, have the vehicle looked at, and you may be as lucky as we were.

Buyers beware. We bought a 8k car for my son. Within 2 months, the car stopped.working. we paid 6200 to get it fixed and now we have to put in another 2300 bc it keeps shutting off. Do not go here.Let me also say, as I scroll through all the 1 star reviews. All of these buyers-- had the same experience as me. Everything they said is 100% how it went for me....this place seems to lie and say the vehicle has been all inspected and checked out...and it doesn't appear that my car had, through my own personal experience, because ai have had nothing but issue after issue. Then when you talk to him on the phone he says "I don't know anything about the cars, you know more than I do..."....great...isn't that just great..he sells them and knows nothing???....When I called the owner and told him of my experience, he was nothing but defensive and rude...he really could care less...kind of a "gotcha" moment, it seemed like after talking to him....like he made his money and don't seem to care what hell he put me and my family through. That is the way he comes across. In conclusion, Do what you want, and purchase what you want, but take in consideration the reviews.

I firstly just want to start this review by saying that I do not blame Mike for anything that happened in my experience with Home Street. Mike was great and I personally feel like he did his best in trying to get the owners to work with me. In January, I was in a life threatening car accident that totaled my car. I came to Home Street because the options they had in this expensive market would work best for me. I found a 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee that I loved and ended up purchasing it that day! I needed a car to get back and forth from work and all the things. Unfortunately, the vehicle has continuously drained my bank account because of the lack of effort put in to make sure the car was up to check. It has been in the shop a total of 5 times since I purchased it and regardless of what the owners and mechanic have to say at Home Street, it was clear that the issues would've been noticed if proper diagnostic work was done and full inspections. This is also something that Fulmers Muffler shop and Perrys Automotive say is a frequent issue from Home Street. The mechanic has a track record for bandaging the issues instead of actually fixing them. I would just say to make sure you are taking these cars on very very long test drives and testing all the things. You can clear a dash board by just unplugging the battery so don't fully trust the dashboard of the car either! Less then 15 hours after I purchased the vehicle, two lights came on so just be weary. Again, I don't blame Mike and I'm sure that 1 out of every 5 vehicles that they sell is perfectly fine but be cautious.

Don't waste your money here. This is a classic scammer dealership that covers up severe damage with a coat of paint and then sells it full price hoping you dont notice. Dont expect them to fix it after you find it either.
