My insurance considered them a preferred repair shop for my accident. Parts took forever- understandable. Estimator specifically asked me if I slammed on my brakes during the accident. I said yes, very hard. ( I hit a deer). When I picked up my vehicle I asked him if anything was replaced on the brakes or tires. He said no the were fine.Here I am needed to replace my pads and rotors.

Took my 2019 Malibu in for repair and needed to use the shuddle service to drop of and later pick me back up. I received phone calls on what they found out and how much the repairs would be. Overall a great experience, and will continue to get my business.

Took my car in for an estimate and they tried to strongarm me that if they were to pay the tow truck driver that theyd be doing the work and i wouldn't be able to take possession of my car and shop for quotes. So i paid the tow truck driver cash right then and there and then i had to get my car out of there asap before theyd impound it. No chance im ever coming back.

I took one of my trucks in for an airbag recall. Everyone in the service department was ok.I'd been thinking about selling this vehicle, so I sat down with Glen Walton to talk about if they'd be interested in purchasing the truck. It is because of Glen that I will never set foot on a Gates' lot ever again. He told me that I was wasting his time because I wouldn't agree to sell the vehicle to them BEFORE they offered me a price. How can I do that when the terms of the sale haven't been agreed upon? Very hard sell. Very confusingly hostile. I don't understand why anyone would want to treat a customer like this but since that time whenever someone mentions buying a car or asks about car lots I make sure to tell them that they should definitely avoid Gates because they're the worst.Also, it's pretty trivial compared to everything else, but: Glen said if I sold them the vehicle he would have a check for me in 7 to 10 days (and didn't pass up on the opportunity to respond in a dismissive and offensive manner when I expressed my thought that this time frame seemed a bit long). The dealership I did sell the truck to had a check ready for me the very next day. Gates is the worst.

Went in for warranty work and had to wait over a half hour for JJ to show up from the back and they did not have a vehicle for me to use Lochmandy always does. Said Chevy doesn't do that even though I know Lochmandy does so I will be using them in the future. Also never apologized for taking to long just to for JJ to come up there. Then acted like it was my fault that I was not happy with the terrible service. Won't be taking any of our vehicles thereService: General repairs & maintenance

They post they close at 6pm. Showed up at 5:19pm and was turned away saying they had "4 cars in the bay" and were done for the day. Wasted gas to travel there. What time do you REALLY close Gates Service?Service: Oil change

I got an oil change done yesterday and I thought everything was fine until I heard something dragging so I looked under my car and noticed my shield was dragging. So I took it back up there today to let them know that they didn’t put my shield back on my car correctly, and they had the audacity to look me in my face and say“it looks like you left here and went home and tore apart your car”. Right because I definitely went home and tore apart my car for fun. Ridiculous! I don’t recommend taking your car to Gates for anything!!Service: Oil change

Went there as a teenager for a couple years for oil changes and had nothing but bad experiences time after time. Well after not going there for 5+ years I decided to give them another chance and of coarse first time I go back just for a basic oil change and tire rotation I get a call 4 hours after dropping it off that it is done which I was in no hurry so no big deal. Well they did do the oil change but no rotation. And I know this because one on my rims has a big chip in it. So when I asked them why it wasn’t done they argued and told me it was even though it was clear that the tread on my front tires was still a lot more worn than the back. Anyways this place will not get my business again what a joke of a auto shop.Services: Tire rotations

Do not go here! You have been warned. I so wish we would have checked Yelp for this business's reviews. Unfortunately we have experienced quite a few of the concerns that are posted in the negative reviews here. And we are still waiting for issues to be resolved. Mind you, we just purchased the vehicle 2 weeks ago. Sat in the waiting room for a very long time only to hear that many of the people waiting were dealing with lousy service from Gates. We will never purchase a vehicle from Gates again.

Oil change at Gates is an enjoyable experience. Comfortable wait area, met a wonderful fellow customer and shared gospel experiences. Price is very reasonable with tire rotation included.
