I took one of my trucks in for an airbag recall. Everyone in the service department was ok.I'd been thinking about selling this vehicle, so I sat down with Glen Walton to talk about if they'd be interested in purchasing the truck. It is because of Glen that I will never set foot on a Gates' lot ever again. He told me that I was wasting his time because I wouldn't agree to sell the vehicle to them BEFORE they offered me a price. How can I do that when the terms of the sale haven't been agreed upon? Very hard sell. Very confusingly hostile. I don't understand why anyone would want to treat a customer like this but since that time whenever someone mentions buying a car or asks about car lots I make sure to tell them that they should definitely avoid Gates because they're the worst.Also, it's pretty trivial compared to everything else, but: Glen said if I sold them the vehicle he would have a check for me in 7 to 10 days (and didn't pass up on the opportunity to respond in a dismissive and offensive manner when I expressed my thought that this time frame seemed a bit long). The dealership I did sell the truck to had a check ready for me the very next day. Gates is the worst.

Do not go here! You have been warned. I so wish we would have checked Yelp for this business's reviews. Unfortunately we have experienced quite a few of the concerns that are posted in the negative reviews here. And we are still waiting for issues to be resolved. Mind you, we just purchased the vehicle 2 weeks ago. Sat in the waiting room for a very long time only to hear that many of the people waiting were dealing with lousy service from Gates. We will never purchase a vehicle from Gates again.

Liars. Do Not Buy from here. They will lie to you and tell you that they have the car you are interested in on their lot But you will drive there only to find out that one of their other dealerships has taken it to their lot and it's currently being sold. Then they will try to persuade you to buy something that's "comparable" to what you were interested in. They will also run your credit Without your permission which will put hard inquiries on your credit report, not just 1 either. This happened to us twice in 7 months. Sooo glad they didn't get my money. What a Joke of a dealership. I'm surprised they've been around for as long as they have.

Bought from this dealer for the first time based on positive feedback from some friends and family. After test driving a car in a heavy rain the rain kept hitting the windshield and I wasn't able to notice that the windshield had a chip in it, not a big deal contacted my sales rep and apparently the only person that they have that is allowed to do the work is an older gentleman that comes in once a month and I was only called the same day and told "hey can you drop your car off today so we can get that done?" After months they finally sent the guy to my house in the middle of the winter and he kind of fixed it, you can still clearly tell it was chipped I contacted them again and told them and I was told they'd get back to me. I've called back a quite a few other times and it's been over a year with no call backs. I should've walked initially when the salesman kept trying to strong arm a higher price than I wanted but we needed a larger vehicle and I took the hand I was dealt. Sales experience was a disaster and extremely disappointing considering all of the recommendations from people I knew spoke of a family like experience that they were taken care of. Service, is also a bit of a nightmare. Now, let me say that where you can drop your car off for oil, tires and breaks is tip top and they are wonderful over there. Collision side is another story, I know that with COVID and all being a little more tight back in April that social distancing was a must, but making me and my 5 year old daughter stand out in the cold to wait almost 30 minutes for the shuttle was kind of crummy. Also, telling me my car was ready 3 different times and I took time from work each time to come get my car only to find out it wasn't done. I'd let them change the oil in any of my vehicles, but for purchasing a new vehicle or collision repairs I'll never use Gates again. I hope this actually makes it's way to someone at Gates to have this kind of stuff corrected and prevent future instances like these from happening again.

My engine blew because their service department didn't put my oil drip pan back on properly . Now I am without a car and I have a ten month old son. And I have to get to work! I am furious they are the last people to touch my car!

I've bought and leased a few cars from Gates. It seems like all their sales people are extremely young and most inexperienced, although everyone seems friendly. I don't see anything special about this dealership, they are just an average dealership with a lot of young people working for them.

These guys are absolute criminals. Bullshitting us the entire time, and would get angry every time we called their BS or tried to ask legitimate questions. Ran my lady's credit 16 times and cost her 100 points in five minutes. I don't even have the time to talk about all the crap they tried to pull throughout this miserable experience. Don't buy a used car from these crooks. Would give it zero stars if it were an option.

Never buy a used car from Gates it cost me 10,000 for a car 5,000 in repairs in 3 months and motor locked up was told sorry sold as is. OUT 15,000 DOLLARS AND GATES COULD CARE LESS.

I blew a fuse and their EXCELLENT service staff fixed it right on the spot...no appointment even! I am so grateful for the quick, friendly and courtesy service! Well Done Gates! Highly recommended!

I took my car here a year ago to get my serpentine belt and spark plugs replaced, and after getting an inspection this year, I learned that they never replaced the belt or spark plugs. I also suspect that they did not give me the oil change that I paid for. Fraudulent. Please look elsewhere.

Hands down the worst service department ever visited. I spent thousands of dollars for an issue that I pointed out but they kept saying oh no it's not that it's this. Dumbest service techs. If there was a negative star I'd give that. I would've probably bought a new car from gates but because of their service department I will never make that mistake twice.
