Chris has gone above and beyond to ensure my mother's final resting moments were done to her wishes. I am not from the area, nor do I really know anyone there, and Chris has been so incredibly helpful. From her cremation, to the inurnment, to the service, to helping me find someone to make her gravestone, he's been my go-to resource. He is kind, calm, and provides outstanding service. I have appreciated all he's done.

Mr. Brown took wonderful care of my dad, took time to answer all of our questions and provided a nice funeral service. My mom and the rest of the family could not have been more happier with the care that was provided. The funeral home was welcoming and clean. I highly recommend Brown Newkirk Funeral Home.

In response to Shannon Goodwin‘s review of brown funeral home I would like to say it’s my husband who is doing the stone for Brown funeral home. I would like to extend our apologies for the delay in completion however the reason it isn’t done yet is not in any way Mr. Brown’s fault. I understand the frustration in wanting to see this completed and would like to take responsibility for this not being done yet. We will be getting to it our next round in that area. Mr. Brown expected us to do it on the day we said but we ended up having equipment issues and didn’t make it over there. He absolutely has no control over us and he’s right when he says that. Please don’t take our your frustration on a funeral director who does excellent work and treats everyone with respect. We do quality work so we do stay busy with our schedules and dealing with weather. SomeDates get cut right away depending on routing and timing and others get put inThe next round for an area. Please be a little more patient with us and we will do a great job on your stone. I really am sorry for the delay in getting it completed.

IF I COULD GIVE LESS THAN 1 STAR I WOULD. Rude. Grandmother passed in April. As of September 6th, the date has not been added to her stone and I called to check on it. He wouldn't give any information and spoke down to me. Said "his guy" told him he was headed up there and that he has no control over when things are done. I asked if i should be able to see it by the end of the week then and said no but by winter. (Wait, i thought the guy was heading over there? And he has no control over who he hired to do what has been paid for?) We had another family member pass and the date was on their stone in the same cemetery (Central Barren) in a couple weeks through a different service. I said it doesn't take 8 months to put a date on a stone and I don't think I'm being unreasonable. He hung up on me.
