On 1/11/2024 Forest River/Coachmen (through their dealer Lazydays) sold me a brand new travel trailer that had 20+ pre-existing issues, including a pre-existing defective roof, and contained the slow-growing toxic mold Chaetomium (along with 2 other molds) at time of purchase. Forest River's quality control failed to find this issue prior to delivery to the dealer and prior to our purchase.
The trailer sat on Lazydays' lot with a defective roof for 15 months prior to my purchased (unbeknownst to me). After purchase, I found a water leak in the 1st month, along with 20+ other issues. I had the trailer tested for mold and the trailer contains the slow-growing toxic mold Chaetomium, and it was found from end to end, indicating that the mold existed well before I purchased the travel trailer. The trailer now requires remediation of the mold, which requires the replacement of the ceiling/roof and some walls to get rid of all the mold. The mold inspector also told me to stay out of the trailer due to the health risks. Forest River is refusing to provide a remediation plan or contact for me to do our own due diligence.
If remediation repairs are performed, this would no longer be a new trailer, but now be a refurbished trailer. I purchased a new trailer, not a refurbished trailer. I asked Forest River for a new trailer but Forest River refuses to provide me with a new trailer.
Forest River's warranty does not cover mold, yet they are trying to force me to bring the trailer in to address this through warranty.
LIST OF ISSUES FOUND RIGHT AFTER PURCHASE:
Stabilizer Jack rods rusty/warped/worn
Fridge and Bedroom Switches are worn (Lazydays states they are worn)
Roof Soft near back (Bad trusses resulting in mold and new roof needed)

I am so regretting the purchase of my 2023 Coachman Encore, which has been in the shop at a dealer since March 25, 2024. I bought it on Sept. 16, 2024. I've had it out for 2 weekend trips. It's in for making very loud clicking noises when passenger slide opens and closes. What you are putting the dealer through in getting this resolved has become a nightmare. Repair gets denied, then open again, then who knows what is going on now. Photos needed and requested by you. Why not just replace the parts? It's a mess. Delay after delay after delay. I even had Mike and Scot involved from your company, and I thought I'd have my coach done by now. Still in a waiting game. I am so dismayed and feel like you do everything to keep your dealers from fixing warranty issues in a timely manner. Going on 6 weeks and may be another week. Yes, I wish I never bought your product. But I feel like I'm stuck with a bad decision I made. Very unhappy owner here. I am scheduled to live in it full time June 1st, and afraid to take it out in case slides get stuck open if not fixed properly vs a quick-fix. The coach is beautiful but you warranty department is a joke. So disappointed.

Is there a perfect rv manufacturer, no of course not. I’ve been rving for over a decade, have had over ten rvs.
Out of my ten plus rvs, Coachmen has been the only manufacturer that has provided me after purchase support.
From Nate in service, to Mike my technician on my last visit, to David in marketing who was gracious enough to provide me and my family a tour of their awesome facility. They are a brand that cares about their customer.
My coachmen is a 2022 373mbrb it most certainly has had problems, like every one I’ve owned, but I am confident that no matter what problems arise, no matter when they occur, Coachmen will rise to the occasion, treat me like family, and fix my issues.
We are proud Coachmen owners, and have never been able to say that about any other RV brand we have purchased.
Before we purchased Coachmen I was really concerned of buying another mass produced rv.
We were strongly considering going to a custom coach, then I started looking into coachmen and how they actually service what they make. I was shocked and was pretty confident I would discover that to be a lie.
It’s not a lie, they won’t forget you after purchase, at the price point with the features they provide, and the after sale service, it’s a no brainer to go with Coachmen.
We are glad we went Coachmen, I think you will be too!
Thank you Coachmen for providing after sales support, it’s what really separates your brand from every other one.
Thank you Coachmen for providing a campground we can use, thank you for having a gift shop with very friendly staff members.
Thank you Nate, Mike, and David absolutely appreciate yall!

The Coachmen Beyond Class B has proven to be an exceptional choice for us. The craftsmanship from the Class B division is truly impressive, and our return visits for minor issues were handled efficiently. The added perk of a great on-site campground is a thoughtful touch, ensuring a convenient and enjoyable experience overall.

I love te style and features, and i hate to leave a 3 star but the quality and workship is TERIBLE.i have a whole list of things wrong, broke, water leaks, ects ects. Is there any quality control? It takes the same amount of time to screw in a towel holder on to support as it does not to and have it fall off. I have a 2021 246rks, i can say this my next trail will not be a coachmen..

We bought our coachman for 35000 cash at lazy days we love our coachman but when we did our title work they wrote it up as a lean and the title went to our bank so we had to do our title again after the bank signed off. Lazy days said to bring the receipt of wich I did nobody would talk to me I waited forever till I got mad and left. I told the wife what if we had a service problem. Once we got the trailer they were done with us.bad business

We brought out RV to Coachmen RV Service, for Warranty Service, a great experience.Initially worked with Richard Picket for an appointment, we drove and parked our RV at the Coachmen Campground, eventually we turned in RV into Service, there Nate Hedges, who had the work done.RV was fixed, as promised, and Nate worked with his crew (Mike) and also replaced a failing Blind on the Driver’s Side. We picked up RV and then proceeded to get Big Foot Levelers in White Pigeon MI.In closing: Strongly recommend Coachmen RV Service Shop, a totally positive experience, I was an aircraft avionics mechanic, and immediately recognized a professionally run operation.

Called Coachmen several times to no avail. Of course nobody ever answers the phone prompting you to leave a voicemail. I need to tow my Freedom Express and requested the size of the hitch ball since it wasn’t marked on the coupler nor stated in any paperwork. Just a simple question yet they chose not to look it up and call me back. I guess they figure once you get the sale don’t go any further in assisting the customer when the unit’s out of warranty. Why make your job harder when all you need to do is to delete voicemails?

2022 Coachman Cross Trail. Bought it brand new and I would NEVER purchase a Coachman again. The quality of workmanship is deplorable. The list is never ending. Water pump not wired correctly, outlet covers not attached, trim work not attached, unable to close curtain on overhead bed because rail was not installed correctly, shelf under bathroom not screwed into anything and the worst is the hot water heater now doesn't work. And no service is available until winter. So much for all of the reservations I have for the rest of this season. I've owned multiple units over the last 30 years and have never experienced such poor quality. Unbelievable for $109,000. So sad!

Just thought I would share a picture of things found in the ductwork of my Catalina RV. Clearly these guys floored right over garbage left inside the ducts. Let’s just say quality is not the top priority for any company that allows this.
