Joke of a company. Had to call 3 times to get someone to answer and then wait for 30 mins on hold and get transferred to 4 different people because nobody there knows what they’re doing. All I wanted was a hood I know they had, shouldn’t take over an hour to purchase a part. Last time I’m dealing with them.

I ordered a back door window for my left side I emphasized on the phone what window I needed. When I got it I was happy that it was already tinted. I get to the place where it would be installed and guess what wrong side window. I had to leave Valpo to come to Michigan City to go back to Valpo. A 5 hour ordeal because of them. Before you leave their company you just double check behind them. I should've did that.

Went to LKQ at 4:50 pm.They close at 5.I knew it would be a long shot to buy an alternator 10 minutes to close...But.. Literally the only parts store still closed to customers for covid.So you have to call 800 number on the door to order your part.A man walked out who obviously worked there and I give him credit he went back inside to see if the guy working could help me...And he came back a few seconds later and said he couldn't find him .Call the 800 number.No one answered... On hold past 5... So I gave up and left.Today I called , and they have prompts.. business press 1, insurance company press 2,Regular Joe's looking for a part press 3.I'm beginning to think they never answer that one.Because after being on hold waiting for 20 minutes I gave up and just drove to Metro in Valpo. There I was meet by friendly staff , and helped instantly. So the drive is annoying but the customer service is worth it. LKQ will never get my business. They obviously don't need it.

I recently bought a 5.7 vortec motor. First they told me they had one with 98,000 miles 6 month warranty $1875.00 kinda ridiculous but I need my truck he needed my milage and Vin I said ok ill get it and call you right back which I did all day left msg nothing this was a Friday and closed on weekends call again mon got told it was gone already but they had another one 168,000 for hundred dollars cheaper really blew my mind whatever said it ran good so I purchased it what a God dam joke I pick it up this thing was a mess sensors broke including distributer no fly wheel top it off no compression on two cylinders oil pan inch of sludge in it etc. now no one will return my call I will never do buisness here again rude and liars

Found an engine to fit our truck on the website so I called the location it was at to inquire about shipping costs or potentially picking it up. Sat on hold for almost 15 minutes to be told I had to call a local facility to place the order...

Made 4 phone calls and nobody could find a way to take a credit card payment and held on the phone for 45 min and still they can't find a person to take payment, Part is in but now been holding forever to find a person for payment !! How do they make it with nobody taking payment's , What a joke !! Please buy from a company with a office staff , or a credit card machine and someone trained to take payments!

I purchased a rear differential from here and it was worse than the one i pulled out ,i drove here to pick up an ABS pump motor and when the guy handed it to me and i said " it's broke" and he said oh you can't use it? It's just a hassle every time we pickup parts here, they try to charge you for a core even if you have the core with you. They can never find the part you ordered over the phone. Just very unorganized and incompetent!!! This place is my absolute last option!!!!
