We pay a lot of money for a membership.You guys keep that place up to bear minimum to Keep it up to cold as well as No air conditioning in the downstairs basketball gym in the summer which means you can't go down there and play Maybe a little bit and have to leave because you can't stand the heat. Then you can never use the upstairs gym because it's always something turn up their or there's nothing going on but you don't want nobody up there.Pay way too much money..

I work out in the gym at the YMCA, and it’s is a great place to train. Pretty much all the same gear as Planet Fitness. The staff is so great - helpful, friendly, and encouraging. Thank you, YMCA

Kathy Workman, the Program Director was not exactly professional in any sense. She set up an interview with me for 4:30PM (same day, so very rushed). I received no call, so I sent an email at 4:45PM asking if we should reschedule. No email response, so I finally called there myself at 4:53PM and stated my name and that we had a scheduled interview and asked if they were in a central time zone and she stated "yes" and then I said once again, okay, our interview was at 4:30 and it is now 4:53 and she literally laughed. I didn't even know what else to say so I said to withdraw my application.She then emailed me that she wanted an in-person interview, but that was not specified, nor was any location information given, so I think I was correct in assuming it would be a phone interview..? Hopefully a lesson can be learned to be more specific when scheduling interviews, especially when they're same day.

My family and I took a wrong turn looking for the gym and found ourselves in some kind of basement.Some guy with keys comes up and aggressively asks what we're doing down there.When we tell him we're looking for the gymHe says, "You're not allowed down here! Get out!"I say, "get out?" As in,there's no better way to offer directions to someone that's lost in the facility.He says, "yea! Get out!"He looked roided out and ready to fight.Since he had keys on him I assume he worked there.I told the guy up front who also started getting defensive.I just grabbed the manager card and we left.Crazy place.Ghetto.Never going back.They're probably used to dealing with all kinds of non-sense. I get it.But these employees are clearly not professional.Steer clear.

The lady at the desk helped me out tremendously. Was very kind and smiled even tho I was in the wrong place. She got the answer I needed and was very kind to me.

Great spacious facility with Olympic size pool, a number of athletic courts, large weight/workout room and additional aerobics machine room.Also good selection of classes, pickleball and activities for children and families. Plus asafe, well-managed and friendly staff. Michigan City area is very fortunate to have such a facility.
