I was standing outside of my home with 3 other adults. The mail lady drove up to my home, a motorcycle was parked in front of my driveway at least 5 feet from my mailbox. She passed my home and went to my neighbors. I did not think twice about it until I received a message from Amazon stating that the mail person cannot deliver my mail because I had an obstruction in front of my mailbox. The motorcycle was not even near the mailbox and we were all standing in my front yard, that is pure laziness on the mail delivery driver. Merrillville post office is the worst. Lazy and rude to say the least. I was expecting a very important package from Amazon and now I have to wait until after the holiday to receive it because of an ignorant, incompetent individual.

Unprofessional, rude and lazy clerk name Marciano.on 5/18 at 1009am I was trying to mail international package that requires customs form which I filled out.Long story short, this clerk was lazy to process it(it takes 3 minutes for them to type it in the system), told me he will do it at the end of his shift. He was pretending(kept clicking the screen for 6 minutes) that the system is not let him do that). What a lazy worker, rude and unprofessional. We also waited 3 minutes in the front before anybody came to the front.Other worker(young African American guy) was laughing rudely. How can post office employ these people? I will never ever give them my business.

I showed up for a passport appointment 10 min early. Was asked to have a seat someone would be out to help me shortly. Time went by and it was 5 minutes until their closing period so I asked if anyone was there to help me and I was told “yeah she said she’d be back within the hour” so I waited. I sat there for one hour before I decided to just leave and schedule with another place. This is ridiculous. I’m furious!

We put 2 bags of food out this morning for the Mail 11th post office food drive. Apparently not all of the Merrillville carriers were informed of the food drive. I watched from our kitchen window as the substitute Mail carrier drove up, put our Mail in the box and drove off leaving the 2 bags of food. This was pure laziness because the bags were right in front of the mailbox post. If our regular carrier hadn't been off today, I know this wouldn't have happened.

I had a package delivered to a lockbox by USPS on the 26th of April, 2024, but when I unlocked the lockbox with the key that was left inside of my personal mailbox the following day, the lockbox was EMPTY! I went to this post office to explain the situation and the supervisor stated that she didn't care about a key being left in my personal mailbox, she wanted the USPS tracking information. I went back with the tracking information today, Monday the 29th and was told there was nothing they could do and I had to go online or call to file a claim. I followed the "protocol" and filed the claim but this post office, I honestly do not see how they remain under such management. If the supervisor can say they don't care, I don't expect the employees to care too much either. I'll see how this investigation goes though.

Had an appointment for a passport at the Merrillville PO. Icame 10 minutes ahead of time like I was advised. The person in charge of passports never showed. I had to take time off to get it done only for the attendant to say she was 10 min late, then ,15 min late and then 30 min late, then 40 min later I left. Horrible time management. Why make us hav appointments if your not going to follow them. There was 3 other people in line as well. I'm definitely filling a complaint this is not the first time this happens and should not be accepted.

Crown Point post office has great employees who are very helpful. The wait is minimal most times but if there is a line, the line does move pretty fast. They have a store for all your shopping needs that’s is stocked well. They have Mail Drop boxes inside as well as outside. They have many P.O. Boxes as well. It’s always clean and organized.

They're really aggravating. Like yesterday because it was raining, they didn't pick up the envelope for them to pick up and they didn't deliver the package that was supposed to come as well. Like, geez just pick up and deliver the stuff, it is not that hard. It's like they get lazier as each day passes. JUST DO YOUR JOB AND STOP MAKING US WAIT UNTIL 7 OR 8 PM TO SEE IF OUR STUFF CAME BECAUSE YOU'RE LAZY! IT IS GETTING IRRITATING!

Everytime i visit this post office there is always one person working the desk. And i can hear 2-3 other people in the back that won’t come out and help. I get that they have jobs to do back there, but if you have a line out the door it shouldn’t be one person doing all of that. Pitch in where needed to get the line down and then go back to your work.

they don't deliver letters. Yesterday it showed me that I would receive some letters. The next day the box was empty. No, no one took it because it is locked
