Edited to add, delivery was a week ahead of what was projected. Delivery guys were polite, and quick. They called 30 minutes before arrival and were in and out in no time. The hardest thing we dealt with in this whole situation was figuring out exactly what we wanted. Will definitely be buying from Penny Mustard again!The absolute best customer experience anywhere! They don't pounce on you as soon as you walk in and give you space to walk around. So very friendly, fun, and professional. Between Sandra and Amy, the manager, we finally decided on what we wanted. After the purchase, there was a fun thank you email from corporate and then a personal thank you card from our wonderful salesperson Sandra. We can not wait for delivery, which will be around the end of February. Overall, it is the best furniture shopping we have ever had. You don't have someone following you and watching every move you make, no stress, no pressure, nobody breathing down your neck...best ever!!

The customer service was beyond anything I have ever experienced at a furniture store. The quality of furniture is impeccable along with the experience of staff and the welcoming atmosphere. If there were 10 stars I would rate them that.

I recently had a fantastic experience at Penny Mustard furniture in Merrillville. I want to express my thanks to Amy, the general manager. She helped me find the perfect pieces for my home. Amy's customer service was exceptional, guiding me through various options with patience and expertise. The high quality products are a worthwhile investment. I highly recommend this store for top-notch service and furniture.

Mike and everyone at the Merrillville, IN location were incredibly helpful. They seem to work well together and help each other out when necessary. We stopped by out of curiosity and ended up coming back to buy a sofa. They were not pushy at all, and it turns out that it's a Midwestern business. Don't hesitate to pay them a visit.

I was in Penny mustard today, looking for a dining room table, and I had the most gentle, professional, and kindest gentleman who helped me. Craig, took time to listen, understand and researched what I was looking for. Unfortunately, they didn't have the dimensions I needed, but when I'm looking for furniture again in the future I would definitely go back to this specific store and ask for his help.

I love this store. I got a lot of good ideas. The best quality furniture. I was very impressed. Craig, the salesman, was very knowledgeable about everything. I'm definitely buying my furniture from there when I start remodeling.

Plenty of options for dining tables. Top quality IMO. Camille Stubbs was awesome in navigating us through the process. Finding the right combination that met our tastes. She is knowledgeable and patience with our questions and many changing of options (2 hours of constant attention). My first visit and intro to PM was the Madison WI showroom with DJ Sun who sold me on the "brand" and 2nd visit was Merriville (closer to home) where we met Camille. She put together a dining set and bar stools package. Delivery 90 days out but it will be worth the wait. Thanks DJ and Camille for your professionalism.

My wife and I spent some high quality time with Ula this afternoon. She found us a few great pieces on clearance, helped match upholstey colors and fabric, helped match chairs and table. A great experience. We will be back!

we ordered over $21K worth of furniture...2 deliveries and both horrible. 1st one they had no tools to put stuff together. everything covered with dust! no shoes covers as promised on our new carpet. they had to send someone out to fix the broken kitchen table! 2nd delivery, and a piece was clearly damaged at the manufacturer. I refused the piece which the delivery guy questioned multiple times! We were told it would be a rush replacement.....HAHA, hurry up and wait another 6-8 weeks! Multiple calls about all the issues....the salesman never followed up, the delivery people never followed up (took multiple attempts to get a call back) and the only thing they offered for the HORRIBLE customer service and experience was a refund of the $97 delivery fee. NEVER, I mean NEVER will we order from them again!

We ordered bedroom furniture from Penny Mustard. After a 4-6 weeks, I called Penny Mustard to see the status of our order and found out it was in, but no one ever called us to tell us.Then, when it was delivery day, the Penny Mustard delivery team arrived in the time slot, but did not call us that they were enroute. It was fine because I was home and ready for the delivery, but an hour or half hour notice would be nice because I was on a work call when they were ringing the door bell. I would have rescheduled the call if I had known they were arriving shortly. I guess they expect us to be available on a minutes notice for 3-4 hour window…Furthermore, the delivery team was careless and hit our wall during the delivery because the delivery person was trying to carry something himself rather than waiting for his partner to help.They also forgot to deliver the night stand, but I was able to call them before they got too far to bring it back.We ended up finding one of the shelves was warped in the dresser, allowing it not to sit flat. Also, the wood is splitter on one of the dresser drawers.We ended up returning the night stand, but we’re pretty upset with their return policy of only 75% back especially after retrieving the delivery men after they forgot to deliver an item, saving them a trip they would have had to make again. No good deed goes unpunished I guess!We have a technician coming out to look at the defects in our furniture. We weren’t planning on making a big stink about the defects, but in light of receiving only 75% back after being gracious toward Penny Mustard’s errors, we decided to seek remedy for this defects.When ordering their furniture, know the policies inside and out because you might end up paying for it!Would not recommend purely due to customer service. There are other furniture companies that make quality and are more understanding than Penny Mustard.
