Awesome rental location! Kristin is the go to girl! She is always professional, courteous and friendly! I have rented cars from this location several times and will continue! I have also lost a garage door opener and Kristen went above and beyond to find it wedged in the seat! This location always answers the phone as well! Unheard of for most car rental locations! Great job Kristen! Thanks for your service!

The entire process from start to finish was smooth! Upon arrival Brandon was extremely polite, and helped me find the perfect vehicle to fit my needs. I was out in less than 15 minutes. At drop off, I was helped by Kristin who went above and beyond! It made all the difference because unbeknownst to her, I was having a rough day. In addition, my Uber was having a hard time locating me, and she was nice enough to stay a few minutes later to make sure my daughter and I were ok. Service like this isn’t common anymore, but I would like to thank the entire team! You all are truly awesome! ? I highly recommend this branch!

This unfortunately is the worst Hertz I rented from ever. The manager was out to lunch and when she returned she made things right. But the supporting staff needs customer service training. The disabled vehicles in the parking lot is not a good look either. I don’t think they belong to hertz but I should not have to question if that is what is in inventory. Waiting area was not clean. This place is tore up from the floor up!

Brandon, the manager trainee, is extremely rude. I can't believe a person in training would act this rudely. I, like the other reviews, made a reservation for a cargo van and they didn't have it when I showed up. He was rude and not helpful. I made the mistake of making a 2nd reservation a week later. Called in advance and he said he didn't see the reservation and I must have made it for the wrong day. This place needs a complete overhaul.

Do not rent a car from here.I made a reservation two weeks in advance. When I arrived to pick up my car, the class of car I reserved was not available. I asked if they could put me in another car he said yes, but it would cost more because I had reserved it a good rate. I showed him the rates for the other cars that were still showing available online and said can’t I just modify my reservation to one of these. He then checks the system and says sorry all those cars are being rented tomorrow. I say, but I rented a car today and you don’t have it available. Why can’t you give me one of those? He refuses and says I can call corporate and complain.This is the worst experience with theA business I’ve had in recent memory. Do not give them your money and don’t trust them to have a car available for you when you rent one.

I reserved a car two weeks ago and I called when I got to my repair shop, no answer. The repair sho called 4 times, no answer. I was told I had a reservation when I reserved it but apparently it wasn’t put in any system. Waited and waited trying to find my reservation in my email, nothing. State Farm contacted them and they answered right away. They said they were glad to help me now but it’s just a little too late. They have poor customer service. I should have listened to the car repair place when they said to use enterprise and I should have listened to the reviews.

They never have the vehicle you reserve and their attitude is garbage…if you don’t like your job don’t work!!! I would never recommend this company…they are literally trash!!

This is a terrible location. Workers are rude. The hertz woman stole my rental which I could see sitting in the lot. “Sorry we dot. Have any available it is spring break” I make this reservation 3 months ago. This place sucks !!! Edit…. They sent a reply and I clicked the link to contact them and I don’t have Facebook messenger. Another terrible service … only one option?!?

If I could give 0 stars I would. Do not trust this company overall. They stole over $4400 from my account and told me it was a glitch in their system, which originated from this Merrillville location. Manager at location was rude and would not communicate with me, so then I reached out to next level management. This company took every dime I had and left me with nothing. It was an entire week until I got my money refunded, but in meantime incurred fees for late payments and insufficient funds. Only compensation they offered were points for 2 days of a rental. What the hell am I going to do with that?!? I refused to give them any more personal information. Care team said they do not compensate with money. Your information is not safe and they could not care less. Look up the issues this company has had regarding their customers and beware.

Idk why the bad reviews. I booked on-line. Got there and my rental was ready. The lady who helped me was polite and prompt. The whole process only took about 10 minutes including inspection. The vehicle I got was in good shape and had a full tank. Same thing on return of the car. I was in and out of there in a few minutes. No problem at all getting my deposit back. The price was good and I will definitely use this location again if I have to. Thanks...

These people charged me then took the charge off then charged me again ???and I still have not received my deposit I’m always calling and they never answer!! They have the girl in front also cleaning cars too like really????? It’s either you work in the reception or in the cleaning… but doing both is wild to me especially with the girl having to be dressed up ??♀️??♀️??♀️??♀️
