So I just got here, first time I've been here in about a year. The place looks like it's on its last legs, few cars on the lot. Inside there's no coffee for customers and the vending machines aren't even stocked. I'm starting to fear for my car ....

I bought a 2013 GMC truck here on February 15th. In less than a week (Feb. 21) we had to jump it due to a weak battery. When I took it back the next day , the best they would offer was to pay half the cost of a new battery. Planned on buying another vehicle from them but now taking business elsewhere due to their unwillingness to make things right. I understand it is used but selling trucks with weak batteries and refusing to make it right, is not good business. All I was wanting from them is a dependable daily driver. Before I walked out he said " you won't be back because of a battery". Yeah that's right a battery, he lost future business over a battery. Buyer beware.

WARNING! WARNING!! WARNING!!! I WOULD NEVER PURCHASE A VEHICLE FROM HOBSON CHEVROLET in Martinsville, IN., AGAIN!!! I bought a used vehicle for my 16 year old son. Hobson's was adamant to not allow me to take it to me dealer to be checked out (My first warning). My salesman tried to fake give us a 3 month - 3000 mile warranty for a used car that already had one. He acted as if he was doing us a favor. After confronting him, he said that he was only confirming. Earlier he told us that he sold used cars for years there and that he was well aware of all the vehicles. Shouldn't he known there used car policies? (My second warning) THE WORST PART: The car was checked and certified by the dealership, and showed that they replaced the brakes. We still have the Csr Fax, car check list and sticker in the window of quality assurance. My 16 year old son, for the first time drove an hour on the highway, at night, by himself and following me, to our home. After having the car 42 hours, my son was turning the car around in front of our home, driving around 10mph, when we heard this MAJOR GRINDING SOUND. BOTH REAR BRAKE PADS COMPLETELY FELL OFF!!!! I thank God for protecting his drive from the other night and keeping him safe. When I texted Hobson's, I was told that they will not warranty it. As is... *** I understand "As Is..." but that purchase was based upon them assuming me that the brakes were updated. *** They didn't even offer to assist or compensate us in any way. (My third warning) Since then I've files charges with the Attorney General for the lemon law and am waiting to hear back.

I will never return nor refer Hobson to anyone. Even my worst enemy! I happened to be there when they were having their sales meeting. I could not believe what was said. They are ruthless. No morals, no care for us so called regular people. if you have a lot of money you bet they will sell you the most expensive vehicle on the lot. Their motto is commission. I bought a Chevy Truck and in 3 days the fuel pump was leaking through the engine. Then the transfer case went out. That costed me 1600.00. Then the calipers froze up. That was 900.00 And then if not enough the CV joint locked up coming back from Bloomington. The tow was100.00 and the repair was enough to make me cry. I had to put new brakes on right after I got it. Please never buy anything from this God awful place. After all that went wrong in a very short amount of time after buying their crap I spoke with a salesman & asked do you inspect all trade ins? His response was if it goes in to reverse, drive,, park it is put on the lot. if there was a lemon law in Indiana I would have sued them for the endless thousands I have put in this truck!!!!! Buyer Beware! NEVER CAR SHOP AT HOBSON!!!!!!!!! Kelly Cummings PS I have told everyone never to go to your junk yard!

I have to say I'm not a costumer and never will be. I've been fighting this never ending "postal mail" battle with companies like this one where they send flyers to random and address it to "current resident". I know this is a deal that keeps the US postal service above water but sending mail to "current resident" is just like robo calling. Now you can't even return to sender. I called Hobson and had my address removed. Do your self a favor and don't do business with companies that do this. It's a sign that they will be out of business soon. They are being take by these advertisement companies promising them the world if they have a mail campaign. WRONG! That's a sign of desparation and a sign you should not do business with these types of companies.

Be very cautious buying a car at Hobson in Matinsville, In. My sister in law asked if I would help her find a car. I found a 2014 impala LT with 23336 miles on it for $13595. I had gone and looked at the car one night. She made an appointment to look at the car today. She drove it and loved it but was wanting to make sure the car did not have soon hidden problem. It just seemed like too good of a deal. She told the salesman that she wanted to think about it but promised him she would let him know either way her decision. After driving home,an hour and a half, she realized she had left her drivers license at the dealership. Let me say first of all he had no reason to even have her DL because no paper work had started. She called the salesman to ask if she had left them and he said oh yes you did I found them earlier I was going to drop them in the mail. Now we all know that is not true. If you were an honest person as soon as you found them you would have called. In my opinion he ask for her DL and purposely kept them with the sole purpose of calling her later that day and tell her he just found them to get her to come back in and sale her the car. I understand he and the dealership have to make money but you don't have to be under handed in your dealings to do it. The thing is she was going to buy the car but after that red flags went up. Are they being totally honest about the car? Look at the blue book values and you will see why we wondered if the car had been wrecked or a lemon. Never the less she will not buy the car I will not ever look for a car there. I think they are willing to be as shady as it takes to sell a car. Maybe I'm wrong, highly doubtful, just be very cautious dealing with them. We are the type that understands that car dealers have to make money however we try and find a good deal with a honest dealership and in my opinion Hobson Chevrolet and Buick in Martinsville, In is not that dealership.
