If I could leave negative stars I would. If you are in the market for propane - do not even consider AmeriGas. They fraudulently billed me for over $800. After 4 phone calls and 3 weeks, I have been promised that it would be fixed and it is not. They are easy to set an account up with. They will be friendly and helpful. The second you sign a customer agreement that all ends. You will spend hours of your life on the phone with customer service. CHOSE ANYONE BUT AMERIGAS.

I needed to get some gas put in tank, but didn't have the money to pay at one time. Asked if could get 250 gallons put on payments. You let me do it, hopefully will have enough to make it this winter. Thanks.

Price to high left America’s found cheaper company for bout half the price on propane The rental fee is too much $232.OO. Then charge $149.00 to pick up tank. That’s insane. Service no good delivers always late than told.

Worse customer service in history they send their customer service to a call center in another because they don't want to embarrass Americans for the extremely poor quality of service or serious lack of service

This is the worst gas company I’ve ever dealt with. We ran out of fuel on the coldest day of 2021-2022 winter back in December. They refused to bring us fuel and when they did agree the price was set at $4.03 a gallon which is more than $1.00 per gallon over the national price for propane. Then we waited for two weeks and never got a delivery. I called yesterday and they I formed me that they never completed the order for fuel. I advised them to remove their tank from my property and I will never use them again. I got gas from another company it was only $2.69 a toll on and because I’m a new customer with this new company I got propane for $1.69 per gallon. Don’t ever use this company.

Amerigas rescheduled the delivery day 4 different times without notifying me. I was told I could make monthly payments of no more than $121 if I signed up for their auto delivery and monthly pay options. I ended up receiving a bill for $1,119.03. The customer service rep I spoke with said I was charged a $1,000 "convenience fee" for using their services. Their customer service reps are not local, and contacting them is near impossible. If you use Amerigas and need to contact customer service, expect an hour or two wait time on the phone. I would not recommend using Amerigas.

No customer service ! Bring back local service. I don't want to talk to someone in the Dominican Republic about my heat here in the US !! And stop with the NEW rule of charging $200 tank rental for anyone who uses less than $1,000 gallons per year ! So now only the rich deserve a warm place to live ???? Shame on you ! If you must do a tank rental then charge the people who use over 1,000 gallons! Not the people who are trying to conserve to get through the winter. Shame on you. Hurting the low income and disabled. This has to be the worst customer service I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. If you have a issue or simply trying to schedule a delivery, plan on wasting your life away on the phone where you will asked the same questions over and over. Once you have completely ruined your day with that phone call you now sit and wait for a delivery that never shows up. After 3 days past the scheduled delivery you have to do the unthinkable and call them. This was even worse than the first call. Stay away from this company and find a good local service provider.

Edit: it's now almost June, so going on 6 months we've had their empty tank sitting in our yard. Again, paid them $150 to come get it and apparently they refuse.Additional edit: the tank is now gone, but continuing to receive invoices which forces me to continually have to contact their ridiculous customer service. Last invoice was deleted per customer rep, however now we have a new one. As far as I'm concerned this is continued harassment for dropping them & we're considering all options to make this stop. This review is a long time coming. We ended up with Amerigas by default when we bought our home in Morgan county. We stayed with them since this was what was already installed & all was well in the beginning a few years ago. At some point within the last couple years, the local office closed to customers and calls were routed off shore. If the customer service was adequate, it wouldn't matter that much, but we suddenly began having issues with delivery & the customer service folks giving false information each time we called regarding when our gas would be delivered. This is where it became frustrating that we couldn't run down in person to the local office to get any help. When we switched companies this past winter to a great local Indy company based out of Danville, we had to pay a ridiculous amount to terminate our "contract" with Amerigas, including US paying THEM $150 to come get THEIR tank. It's been 4 months & the tank is still sitting in our yard. I cannot recommend staying far from this company enough.

Worst customer communication ever. Clueless, local number goes to a call center. They have no idea what’s happening.

Do not do business with this non-American company. I would give zero stars if I could. Customer service now consist of an off shore (India) call center. After being a customer for 20+ years I'm done and switching as soon as possible!!!
