Went there today because my normal vet is out of office. Was scheduled for just yearly vaccines. The staff is amazing. For context here, my normal vet who does the exact same vaccines and exam, I personal know and have been a vet for going on 30 years. Normal vet charges about $50 for vaccines, all three. Today, for three vaccines I paid $177. Huge difference, for the exact same care, also vet assistant was trying his hardest to up sale me to other care packages that was upwards to $500. When I told him I wasn’t interested he kind of just made a weird face. I understand he has a job, but the job description doesn’t say to be belittling the pet parents. I was satisfied with the care today. But the sticker shock is huge, I hate to label this as robbing people blind, but they really are. Dr. Grimm was amazing, very kind and I could tell he loved and cared for animals. Vet assistant needs to work on his compassion and empathy. Also, the walls are thin, not an issue with other dogs barks or whimpering or cats meowing. Thin walls don’t hide attitude or belittling comments. Again vet assistant I had today needs to be trained more properly. The vet world is a sensitive place, compassion and empathy are a must. Just be warned about the huge sticker shock for just three vaccines.

This was my first time taking my pets to Dr. Grimm. He seems to actually care for the animals he sees and makes sure to gather all the info he can to determine the issue. My 9 mo old bully is very outgoing and energetic but he handled him very well and was very patient with him. This is DEFINITELY the vet I'll be keeping for ALL of my fur babies. I used to go to the vet in Gas City but this one is hands down way better, he seems to care more for my baby. Now time to book more appointments for the others.

I'm very disappointed in the vet hospital this past year or 2!! My mom took her cat to get a growth removed off her face and my mom over heard the vet telling other staff "why does she want that removed. The cat's really old anyways"
Then a friend took her cat there after hurting himself and broke a leg and my friend over heard the vet and staff talking about and how she's "too young to own a cat anyway" (like she could of stopped her cat from injuring itself if my friend were older ??♀️ and she's 23.
I called in 1 time asked them about flea treatments for my pet and the lady I talked to was SO rude to me!! She rudely told me my pets needed to be seen before they would let me buy any flea treatments. And that's fine but why be so rude about it!?
There are some very nice sweet staff but over all how, me, friends and family have been treated we will be switching vets!! And that was just some of the many things that have upset us about this place!
Just an FYI, Kim road animal hospital, your walls are thin there and we hear all your rude comments!

We had a fur baby that had her time blessing this world with her presence cut short due to a brain tumor. This was a brutally crushing experience. This team helped us through the process with the utmost care and compassion. I can't thank them enough.

Reasonable prices for rabies/Office visit combo. Knowledgeable, friendly, and patient staff. I didn't feel too hurried to ask questions or pressured to buy anything. Overall, good experience bringing my cat and kitten here.

My bf took our cat in to get a checkup because she's been acting strange. They were nice, but they sent her home with a medication that is for dogs only. We looked at the bill and the dose they gave her was .5mg injectable. The pills are 16mg. I know injections are different, but that is way too big of a dose for a cat regardless. I'm glad my boyfriend caught it on the label or she may have been dead. This isn't an oops mistake. This is a vet that had history in the reviews of animals dying and I didn't see it until I looked on google after discovering the wrong medication. I will definitely never let her be taken here again. (Lowest must be marked in the review filter to see the posts that I'm talking about.)

I have been going there for years with all of my pets, I have always loved the people there. The new person there couldn’t have made me feel like dirt anymore than she did , if she tried. My estimated bill was two hundred 30 dollars. I was told the additional heart worm test was 30. I agreed to that as well. When I went to pick up my dog , I was shamed as that she had fleas. The new person there introduced me to a flea comb, saying she had to comb her before even taking her for surgery. All my animals are strictly indoors, and are on frontline treatment every month of the year. She was so condescending and embarrassing that I really don’t want to go back. She said she would sell me good flea treatment at cost. When I got home I realized I paid 69 dollars for expired flea meds. As well, this Emily person failed to tell me they did the more expensive heart worm test and should have offered one with flea, tick and heart worm. Several people have told me that since the manager left they were also looking for a new vet , now I know why. . It’s very sad that one person can ruin your normal interaction at the vet.
