The lady there is homophobic.
I walked in with my fiance (nonbinary) and she stared at us for a full minute without saying a word. The next customer came in and she greeted them like we weren’t there. Wanted to buy at least a drink from the fridge but felt uncomfortable supporting this business. Other antique shops are much nicer so this one can be skipped if you’re LGBTQ+ or an ally.

There was no attic and there was no basement, but otherwise it was as expected...

As I walked past this small shop just off Main Street in Madison something called my heart to enter. I sheepishly entered the shop not knowing what lay just inside. There she was, selling candy and looking like an angel that had fallen from heaven. I nervously walked toward her as my heart raced I felt my palms begin to sweat and breaths quicken. Somehow I summoned the courage to speak. Hello my names Brenton I nervously spoke. She looked up at me from her seat behind the counter. I have heard of you she said, your that guy who wears mermaid suits on the beach! My heart sank, yes that’s me I said. She smiled at me and with a laugh she said I like mermen, even if they can’t back up a trailer.

The name doesn't really describe the store. Some antiques, yes, but a lot of candy too.
