I have absolutely nothing good to say about Suburban Propane. From the very start I called them at least four or five times before they came out with a tank (no tanks available anywhere else). They show up and bring a tank, but it had leaks and so they cap it off. A week later they come back and install the parts, but have no propane for the tank, a week and a half later they show up and fill the tank, but guess what they don't have the parts to hook it to my house. The next day they hook it up but refuse to turn on the fuel because my brand new furnace wasn't finished being installed. Once we did get service a month and half after the initial install date, the service was mediocre at best. My last fill up was not called in (by me) and was in May (didn't need propane) and they left a bill for a thousand dollars. I refused to pay and after six months they finally came and picked up the tank and stole some of the propane we had left over before the last fill. I despise this company. Negative 5 Stars!

We have been customers for close to 20 years. I would have to say the last 4 years their customer service and management have been terrible. This ranges from getting a new tank to replace an old tank. Not having the same size tank so we lost 125 gallons to getting service and gas deliveries. What happened to good customer service?

Tanker truck blocked in myself and at least one other vehicle while filling a large tank at a retail store in the middle of a work day for over 10 minutes. The driver claimed they were unable to unhook and move so we could get out, even though the process only took about 15 seconds one the were done taking their leisurely time. Meanwhile, I'm paying three employees to sit around waiting on me to get back to the job site. Ridiculous.

Since signing up with Suburban Propane, we've had great service from the local team in Anderson, IN. Amy, John, and Dwayne have been great to work with and have gone the extra mile to ensure we have been happy with their service. When we were concerned about a leak in our system, John came out and checked our system from tank to appliances and all points in between to ensure all systems were in good order. We really appreciate The Suburban Team in Anderson!!!

We just switched from Amerigas to Suburban. Amerigas consistently charges higher rates for their propane and enforces a $300 propane tank rental fee. Suburban delivered the tank and hooked it up. They moved the old Amerigas tank out of the way and did a good job putting in a place where it would not impede our driveway. The only problem is they forgot to turn on the valve to the new propane tank. So later that evening, our furnace is not working. We had to pay our HVAC repair man to come out and look into it only to find that the propane tank valve had not been opened up by the delivery guy. I am hoping that Suburban will reimburse me for the HVAC service charge.

If I could rate them no stars I absolutely would. Absolutely the most horrendous customer service I've ever experienced. Unfortunately due to having their tank on our property I'm unable to switch companies but I will 100% be looking into how to switch companies out have the tank removed. The customer service representative that I dealt with was Lauren. She was rude, difficult, and did not care whatsoever to help with the issue of having a low tank and not having a delivery for 7 to 10 days. Her suggestion was to conserve propane. It's 9 degrees outside. I'm waiting on a call back to speak to a supervisor because this is completely unacceptable. She would not give me contact info or transfer me to anyone else when I asked. She had no intentions of helping solve this problem and continued to ask me if there was anything else she could help me with and to telling me to have a good day, instead of caring or solving the issue. 0/10. Completely unsatisfied. I also think it's funny how they respond to all the good reviews on here but seldom respond to negative ones. I personally think that that shows what kind of company they are and I would highly suggest if you have the option, to not use this company for propane.** I received a call from the manager/supervisor. He stands by Lauren and how she handled the situation. He was of no help either telling me that everyone is low on fuel and that is what it is because they're busy, call next time before we get that low. He was at least a bit less rude than Lauren, but my review still stands after this phone call with no resolution. I now have the information on how to change companies and I will be pursuing this. Not that suburban cares, clearly.

They came out to fill up a tank on the property we live on. They own the tank, so we can only go through them. We called Wednesday, they were out by Friday and charged almost $800.... pretty decent turn around time....Then once the tank was full he said the tank was losing too much pressure and and he checked for leaks outside and found nothing. So we had a gas leak check done at the home inside and out. The leak was FROM THE TANK. So we paid someone to check the leak that could have been fixed if the driver had done his job properly. So the driver turned it off and Red tagged it, which I understand the protocol but clearly the job was not done properly. He was out here less than 30 min before shutting it off and Red tagging it.So we call to let them know what was found and they want almost another $200 to come out to fix the leak that should have been done by the driver on the first visit....All they care about is the money. Harvest Land co-op is charging $1.89 a gallon right now for propane when you don’t own the tank... we were charged over $3 a gallon. We got 200 gallons in a 500 gallon tank for $760.CHOOSE ANOTHER COMPANY!!!One that cares about their customers!
