“This is a family-owned business and Patty helped me out finding some pairs of shoes that looked good but would also fit well. If a shoe I liked wasn’t available on my size, she would find several similar shoes for me to pick. She was super nice and I enjoyed talking with her and her husband. I overall had a great experience here! More than anything, I got some nice-looking, comfortable shoes.”
“Fabulous menswear store! My husband and I dropped in to check out the store downtown on a night out, and were impressed by the selection and the store owner, Ben. We went back the following week and Christine (store manager) outfitted my husband with a suit, shirts, shoes, belt and sports jacket. She is fantastic: friendly and knows her merchandise. Not pushy, just helpful and professional. Great store: fair prices, good quality and excellent service.”
“Short and sweet visit to this tidy store near the Fashion Mall. We were on a hunt for some toddler shoes in the clearance section. There were some cute options but not as easy to put on as I'd like. The staff was friendly and the store was well organized. Not a bad option if you're looking for clothes for wee ones. Easy parking and the close proximity to Barnes and Noble doesn't hurt either.”

It was suggested that we go to Al’s and check there and since we were out of town looking decided to at least try. “This little shoe shop has saved me hundreds of dollars by impeccably repairing my boots! I'm hard on shoes! So, I've brought several pairs of boots in to be repaired. Every pair I've brought in has been restored back to as close to new as possible. And I didn't have to wait a long time. In less than a week, they were able to bring my boots back to life! For a reasonable price. They were also honest with me about a pair of boots that they really can't repair anymore. I highly recommend them and will continue to go to them for all my shoe repairs!”
“I walked in looking for Pewter grey scrubs this past Monday and when I say I tried on a LOT of items, probably 8 sets! The associate with the number 070922 that rang me up at the register was AMAZING! She helped me pick out scrubs and was so helpful in putting them back! “Last week was my first time coming into the store Akira. It ended up being one of the best shopping experiences I've ever had! I came into the store looking for an outfit for my 21st birthday. When I walked into the store, employees were SO polite! It was pretty busy, but every employee was helping customers. About 2 minutes into walking in and looking around, the store manager named Jerron (sorry if that's not how you spell it!) came over and asked me if I needed any help finding something. I told him I was looking for an outfit for my 21st birthday, and he immediately asked me some questions relating to my style, what I was looking for/if I had any inspiration ideas, and asked me what size I thought I was in shirts/pants/shorts/dresses. After he got that information, he started picking out entire outfits for me!! I loved it, he was like my own personal stylist! I'm not going to lie, I was definitely being difficult! The poor man brought me sooooo many outfits, but I wasn't happy with how anything was fitting me. He was so nice and kept telling me that he would keep picking out clothes for me until I found the perfect birthday fit! Let me add that not only was he helping me and picking out TONS of different clothes for me, he was also doing the same for 2 other lovely ladies at the same time! The work ethic that Jerron has is amazing, you can tell he actually loves his job. I was probably in the store, taking up his time for upwards of 2 hours. I was on the brink of crying just because I was not loving how I looked in any outfits and had been there forever. He could tell I was getting distraught and was so sweet! He helped me the ENTIRE time until I found the outfit of my dreams:) He picked out something that I would have never tried on or picked myself, but man I am SO glad that he picked it out for me to try on! I had the best 21st birthday ever and got so many compliments on my outfit! I will definitely be back to get outfits for the summer. Thank you to the Akira crew:)”
“Great store for all ages & all people, and it's been around a long time, and has always had a strong reputation. You don't need to be a runner ... this is a store for anyone needing professional fitting & proper, comfortable 'running shoes'. I am a woman non-runner in her 60s who likes to walk & I have painful feet. I come here every year to get a new pair of shoes to wear when I walk/exercise; be prepared to spend $200 (don't let that scare you; you get what you pay for & comfortable shoes that help with proper leg alignment are priceless). I get men's shoes so I can get a wider toe box; I wouldn't have thought to do that on my own without Runners Forum's input. The staff will promptly greet you and measure your feet. They'll determine if you are a pronator or supinator (do you walk on the inside or outside of your feet). Then they'll bring out a few shoe boxes for you to try on and walk up/down a 'walkway' while they watch you walk. It's interesting how you'll know which ones feel best right away, and they will provide input as to which shoe helps you walk the most correctly. Be prepared to not necessarily love the color/style of shoes they say are right for your feet; this is about comfort & proper fit! Luckily I have found neutral shoes that aren't too bad in appearance. My feet thank me every year after I visit Runners Forum :). While there get a good pair of socks too, and they accept/recycle/donate used running shoes so bring those in.”

“A great selection of work boots. They had size double E ( EE or wide) for my feet. The employee there was kind and helpful in helping me search for boots my size. The best part is they stay open a lot later which is a huge plus for construction workers getting out of 5:30 pm. Next time I am in Indianapolis, I know this is my go to store.”
