If you depend on propane to stay warm whatsoever don't go to lanesville dollar general, because they can't figure out how to take a lock off cage to give you the propane you bought. Instead you get a refund that takes up to 24hrs to receive back when it takes them just a few seconds to take from you. I'll never go back to this store ever, I will drive out of my way and go all the way to New Albany now.

Absolutely terrible. Been there a few times. The strange guy with classes working the register talks so quite can barely hear him. Acts like he's scared of everything. Apparently can't sell carton of cigarettes. Anywhere else they will just take 10 packs off the shelve and charge me that way. But no this guy is too ignorant to know that. It's ok. I'll drive a half hour for some real business. And cheaper. FK the lanesville DG

The 2 guys working on 10 7 23 around 6pm was cussing being rude telling my mother get TF out our store after we had already paid tried to get the cart to return all the stuff we already bought like why are they even working there a police report was made for assault on the employes

They had a sale going on. It was for 70% off Merchandise. However when I checked out the guy was giving 90% off. So I called my sister, we went back and the same guy was there, but had someone now standing over him and only giving the 70% off. I ask why and he said the guys messed up early. Ok, so if he did that is on you, but you should still meet the price I was given 20 minutes prior. Just feel that is poor customer service in all. They know that when things go on sale we collect as much as possible to give out to DCS homes for Christmas. Also if it is winter items we collect and give to the homeless Veterans around the big cities. So we just felt it was very poor customer service and they should have backed up what they sold the first few items to me for. And as you can tell I leave lots of reviews for lots of places.

Went at 1030 and there was a Sign up that said closed to stock perishable foods, should open by 1100. Weird. I seen at least three people in there! Still closed at 1130! I will drive to Elizabeth from now on!

Good help is hard to find .. They don’t want to honor prices that they advertise when it’s clearly on sale right in front of the store. If it’s not on sale then don’t post a huge sign with said item(s) that isn’t supposed to be there.Don’t expect to be handed your change back properly either bc the young man working tossed ours across the counter and we didn’t receive a “ have a nice night” or a simple “ thank you. “Not to mention the older lady who may be the manager, she is by far rude and has the driest personality. Luckily she wasn’t there but she had her reinforcements to cover for her. I go for the convenience , obviously not the service given. I should’ve bought Tylenol bc now I have a headache.. lol

Worst customer service in the state!!I live in lanesville so we’re limited in our places to stop and grab something to eat or last minute necessity. While stopping today to grab milk for the children I got a nose bleed and asked to use restroom. I was lied to and told it was out of order. Maybe I’m making to much over this but our family spends to much money to be lied to and basically ignored by an employee who was literally twirling her hair chewing gum when I approached her.

Was putting up my Christmas tree and was in need of ornament hook's. So I stopped in to make this as my purchase but did not have any in stock so I did buy some paper clips that did the job just fine.

Always a nice experience at Dollar General in Lanesville. The store is clean, the displays are pretty, and the clerks are friendly.

Same as most stores, take your essential list and they only have half what you need. & Another store had 4 oz of hand sanitizer, $2.49@@1817 Store, they are not alone..
