Awesome experience. If and when I need more bees, I would not hesitate to purchase them from Indiana Honey bees again. Well worth the drive. The nuc I picked up was booming, filled up the other five frames of foundation in a week and needed a second brood box by week three. When I messaged with questions, they always responded within hours.The nuc I picked up from Indiana Honey Bees exploded in growth because it was a well made nuc.Not all nucs are made equally. I picked up a nuc today from a different vendor and had a different experience. Aside from the fact that it cost more, the communication was lack luster at best. On top of that, the nuc itself is more like a package with a couple frames of brood from another queen. When I did the transfer, I could find no proof of a queen by way of freshly laid eggs. They supplied the nuc with a caged queen, likely a newly mated queen, not a laying queen.If you want a quality nuc of bees, get them from Indiana Honey Bees.

I have been a beekeeper for over 50 years. I have purchased bees from many places both packages (worthless) and nucs. Nucs are the only way to go as they give you a quicker start and a mated laying queen already introduced and working in her own hive. Purchased two nucs from this gentleman and his awesome wife on 5/2/20 and today which is 6/28/20 between the two hives made from those two nucs I currently have 300 pounds of honey. Nucs were the best I have ever purchased and most importantly have hard working queens and wall to wall brood. I couldn't be happier and intend on purchasing again as needed. The same two hives have also produced two supportive nucs as backup to go through the winter. These two hardworking beekeepers sell the best nucs I have had the pleasure of purchasing in all of my 50 years of beekeeping. Anyone who says differently is in my opinion just a novice. He is very well informed, as is his partner, states in his contract with the buyer what to expect, and will answer any question you have. He is a pleasure to do business with and the product he sells is of the highest quality. Thank you for your effort Jerry. You truely make beekeepers look good.Guy WoosterIndianapolis, In

Indiana Honey Bees has been a pleasure to do business with. Jerry has always answered any questions or he will call back within the same day.I have kept bees in SE Will County for over five years.I have purchased package bees from numerous sources including bee clubs, local retail establishments and mail order. Up to this point Jerry has provided the best communication regarding when the pickup date would bee. I was never in doubt when my nucs would be available for pickup. (05-04-19)Taking delivery of the nucs was a seamless event assuming one read instructions/directions included on the Indiana Honey Bees website or their FaceBook page.The nucs I purchased are thriving beyond my expectations.

Great wealth of information and good quality nuc's. I don't have a problem to switch a pick-up weekend to insure quality bees. Very patient with questions and involved in other bee circles/clubs. A pleasure to do business with.
