Took my Subaru Forester to Lyons in downtown Lafayette last week for an alignment. They did it in less than 30 minutes with an appointment, which was great. Ty told me that the front was out of alignment and he adjusted it so that my new tires will wear down evenly now. Of course, it drives better too. Since it was just the front end, the price was only $69, which is one of the lowest in town. I had a nice chat with Ron the owner while I waited. I think he’s been in business for 59 years, which is amazing. A few months ago, they also diagnosed my back right wheel bearing that was out, which was unbelievable for a Subaru at only 40,000 miles because of their usual high-quality.
Give Lyons a try, since I think you will have a good experience like I did recently.

Excellent service, extremely honest about doing only repairs necessary to fix the problem, fair prices, have fixed every car problem I've brought in the first time. The only downside is getting an appointment because they're busy because of the excellent service.

I can't say enough good things about this shop. They were able to diagnose my issue and give me an estimate on repairs in just a few hours, even though unfortunately I was late to my scheduled drop-off. I could say more positive things, but needless to say, I won't be going anywhere else other than Lyons for my family's automotive needs! Thank you!

These guys are absolutely amazing. The splash shield on my daughter's car had come loose and was dragging and we were worried about her driving back home to Chicago like that. We needed someone to fix it right away. And even though they were very busy, they had her bring the car over and they could at least take it off so that she can drive back.
They took a look at it, realized that they could fix it without removing it, and they took care of it for her right away. Absolutely honest and trustworthy. They helped us out when we were in a bind and was sensitivve to our situation.
I highly recommend them.

Lyons alignment is a shop where you will get professional service with a down home feel. They have been in the same location for 50 years and know what they are doing.

Absolutely incredible place! They are extremely well priced and very courteous and helpful. I drive a manual Mini Cooper S, which can be difficult to work on if you aren't super familiar with the car or if you don't have the specific tools.I'd been going to a MINI-specialist repair shop for 2 years for repairs, and they charge insane prices. One time, after taking my car to the MINI people for repairs that were upwards of $3000, I got it back and it broke again the next day. I took it back to the MINI shop and they charged me $600 to just look at it and try things and break it even worse than it was before. After that I simply didn't have the time or the money to fix my car, so I went without it for 5 months.Before I moved back home for the summer this year (I'm a Purdue student) I decided I'd take it to Lyon's and see if they could do something about it so I wouldn't have to leave my car here. I've been here before, for an alignment repair and an oil change, and both times the mechanics were very friendly, fair, and knowledgeable, so I thought it was worth a shot. I was informed that they weren't sure whether they'd be able to do anything, since they aren't super well-versed in MINIs, but they were very willing to give it a look and see what they could do.I dropped the car off and then got a call the next day telling me that the problem was a bad coil on the engine and that they fixed it - for only $130!! The part itself was like $60, so the labor cost was only $70! I was floored because the MINI shop I went to before literally charged that much just to run diagnostics on the car, plus they told me they checked the coils and it was all fine.I've waited until now to leave a review because I wanted to make sure it really was fixed and it is. It's now been 3 months since I got it fixed, and it's been working great! I'm so happy I found this place - truly an amazing auto-repair shop!!(2023 Edit - Original Post from 2020): Just came on to post an additional note - I graduated a while back and moved out of state but came back to town recently for a sibling in the area, and on the drive over last night my engine light came on. I needed to be back in another state tonight, so I came to Lyon's first thing in the morning to see if there was anything they might be able to do. Even though they were busy, they were able to work me into their schedule today and fix the car for an extremely reasonable price (and even filled up my tires for no charge without me asking!). I was able to drive it safely for several hours back home tonight with no issues!! These guys are really just absolutely the best I've ever worked with. I can't recommend them enough!!! Stellar mechanics!
