Ben Mullikin at BMW of Lafayette made the car shopping a great experience and I ended up purchasing a car from him! The customer service is incredible, and I live in Indy and chose to buy my car in Lafayette instead of Indy because of the friendliness, knowledge and trust I felt in the very beginning. I highly recommend BMW of Lafayette.

I had a very good experience with BMW of Lafayette. The salesman, Nolan, greeted me on the lot and rather than giving me a sales pitch and inquiring on how I'd like to finance my purchase he asked about my needs in a vehicle and answered my questions. There was no pressure to make quick decisions.
I did purchase a car from the dealership and the entire process was straight forward and easy. I even received a tutorial on the features of my car. I would definitely recommend this team.

If you ever find yourself in need of a BMW, I urge you to go to BMW of Lafayette. I have had been to a few other dealerships in which the sheer pretentiousness was very off putting . We were helped by Nolan Risse, who is an outstanding individual. If I were ever in a contest that I had to win, and I got to choose the terms, it would be a BMW trivia contest and I would choose Nolan as my representative. I really cannot say enough good things, even the financing was non sleezy feeling and very straightforward. There was no hidden fees, and they didn't push you to buy add ons. 100% from start to finish everyone was kind and helpful, I would highly recommend BMW of Lafayette!

My wife took her X5 in for an oil change. They did the video of her car getting service and explaining how everything looks nice except her tires. The guy I wish I knew his name told my wife she needs new tires and an alignment. My wife told him the tires are 6 months old. He told her BMW tires wear faster. I took my wife's X5 to another BMW dealership they said the tires look great! My buddy has a shop he charged me $97 for an alignment he said nothing was wrong it was perfect. So I learned my lesson next time I will take her vehicle in myself so people won't take advantage of other people.

Warning to Future Customers:
Please be cautious when dealing with this service shop. My recent experience raised several concerns that may be relevant to others:
Inaccurate Diagnosis: I brought my car in for a Pressure Control Valve (PCV) replacement due to smoke and a whistling noise. Despite a leak-down test showing no issues, the shop suggested replacing the air intake instead. This advice seemed to ignore the typical PCV-related symptoms.
Misleading Information: I was assured that replacing the air intake would fix the problem, despite my knowledge that the issue was likely related to the PCV. The shop informed me that the PCV was not a BMW product and suggested replacing the entire valve cover, which was unnecessary according to the leak-down test results and BMW's warranty coverage.
Refund Issues: After declining their suggested repair, I requested a refund for the inspection, which was denied. The shop indicated that addressing PCV issues was beyond their scope, leaving me with no recourse for the inspection fee.
I recommend verifying diagnoses and service recommendations from this shop and being cautious about their proposed solutions. It may also be wise to seek a second opinion, especially if they suggest costly repairs or replacements.

I recently visited the BMW of Lafayette for a scheduled appointment to get my car checked and an oil change under the three-year plan. Unfortunately, my experience was far from what I expected from a BMW service center.
Upon receiving my initial bill, I noticed it was approximately $200 more than anticipated based on the costs communicated to me by the service advisor. When I hesitated to sign, the advisor tried to justify the discrepancy with unrelated issues and later provided the correct bill after I insisted.
After the service, I decided to replace a component, fully aware of the parts and labor costs. However, the new bill again reflected an inexplicable $200 additional charge, which was once more corrected upon questioning.
Experiencing such billing inconsistencies twice in one visit was disappointing and not up to the standards I associate with BMW. Such errors should not occur at a place of this caliber.
This review is to encourage fellow customers to carefully review their bills and ensure everything aligns with the quoted costs. Stay vigilant and don’t blindly trust the figures presented without verification.

My interaction with BMW of Lafayette was great. After emailing the dealer on a Sunday, I drove my new car home the following Saturday without any surprises. The taxes and fees were standard as anticipated. Unlike some dealers in Illinois, there were no additional maintenance or safety package costs added to the car price. However, BMW of Lafayette does offer maintenance options for purchase without imposing them on buyers, reflecting their commitment to honest business practices.

We bought a BMW X3 here at this dealer. The turnover was fast and we thought we had a good vehicle.
What we didn't notice is that the car emits terrible exhaust smell around the vehicle after engine stopped in the garage and it's been never properly handled or responded after we reached out to the dealer a week later. Apparently the vehicle has not been conditioned well by the time it's handled over to us and we didn't notice that problem because vehicle was parked outside and hard to notice the exhaust smell.
If you plan to buy BMW here make sure you get some kind of guarantee that the vehicle gets some guarantee of after sales exam after handed over to you. Some problems cannot be found during the short time vehicle walkaround.

Defouw / BMW of Lafayette, IN is an excellent dealership. We have been servicing our vehicles there for almost 10 years and always received great service. My recent purchase of a 530i was an excellent experience. Nolan Risse and the Sales Manager were very good to work with and provided a reasonable offer just enough to make the deal. Nolan is extremely knowledgeable. I highly recommend this dealership!!

Nolan, my salesman, was excellent and very informed about the car. I am from out of state and drove in to get the car. It could not have been a better experience. Highly recommend this BMW dealership. I shopped around and their prices were the best by far.
