I was very pleased at how clean the property was. Jen the manager was extremely friendly and helpful. The apartment has been furnished with high end finishes and appliances.
Jen made the application process very easy. We can't wait to move in.

Very beautiful place, just be very careful and tentative. They are very poor at communication and resolving issues at the property. So keep receipts(photos, emails, etc)

Apartments are too expensive for the living area. The average income in La Porte County is roughly 40,000$…. This is not Chicago and this apartment complex is catering to people from Chicago that have loads of money. Fix the price of rent it’s ridiculous. You greedy people have no shame.

Pros: maintenance comes and helps whenever you need something.
The pool is really great and lots of seating. Also the neighbors are all very friendly.
Con’s: the faculty stops really caring about you after you have moved in.
I was woken up at 7:30 in the morning by people banging with a hammer in the apartment above me. (They were changing the carpet) understandable but WAY too early!!!!! I called the office to complain and they never followed up wit me!
One last con, there has been construction going on right outside my back door for MONTHS NOW!!!! Literally since I moved in! Which sucks because I work nights and usually I get woken up early in the morning. They’ve literally been doing construction out there almost a year. So I rarely ever get peace and quiet. The only day they aren’t out there moving dirt around is on Sundays ??♀️??♀️
Edit* I had neighbors above me moving in from midnight-3am last night. Kept me and my family awake. Apparently they said the office told them they can move in at this time???

I moved into the banks over a year ago and signed an 18 month lease.
The time I was there, myself and my children very much enjoyed it. The pool was well cared for and beautiful, and the area around it was as well. The gym was clean with new equipment, and at least 3 flat screen tvs, and was well lit and well maintained. The mail room is really neat… it’s a room full of PO Boxes and you get a key to your mailbox with your apartment fob. Packages go into an adjacent room and I never had any issues locating my orders.
The apartments are labeled as “luxury”, and with good reason. They are pricey, but you know that going into your lease so it shouldn’t be a shock to anyone complaining about the price. Most people know what they can afford for housing.
With almost 1200sf, my children and I were able to spread out and not be on top of one another non stop. The ceilings are very high and the apartment was very bright with natural light, and had window treatments on every window. I have a 14yo who is an avid gamer, and he could be hollering at the top of his lungs through his headset, and I wouldn’t hear anything at all from my bedroom. I sometimes heard my upstairs neighbors walking around, but the sound wasn’t anything a white noise machine wouldn’t cancel out. There is also a porch with enough room for a small table and chairs, and I never had any issues with water pouring in from that outside door, or the door slamming shut.
I had 2 bathrooms, one in the master which was “mine” and the kids were able to share another one which I was very grateful for, as they’re still young and very messy. The kids bathroom had a full size tub which was great for my 4yo’s baths, and there was plenty of storage in each bathroom for rugs, towels, toilet paper etc. The master bath had a full size walk-in shower, and a ton of storage in addition to built in shelving as well.
I had a walk in closet attached to my bathroom which I greatly, greatly miss! That closet was so big you could set up a little nursery in it and still have room to walk around freely.
The kitchen is massive with beautiful, high, granite counter tops and all units come equipped with a fridge, microwave, dishwasher, and oven. There is also a utility closet with a washer dryer included.
The entire time I was there I never had any issues. My garbage disposal stopped working and they fixed it the same day I said something about it. I had 3 “inspections” while I was there. I passed two and failed one… the one I failed I had been traveling for work for a while and just hadn’t been around to put the place in order. I apologized for my mess and the office was very kind and understanding about it. My third inspection my place was clean but cluttered, but I passed. The point of this is that they’re very human about cleanliness expectations and I don’t think anyone should have any problems in passing those. They give you ample notice as well before entering your apartment.
There is a dumpster centrally located in the parking lot of the complex that you can take your trash to. However, they also come straight to your door 5 days a week to collect your garbage which you can’t beat.
I never had any issues with the staff, and they were always responsive and kind whenever I entered the main building there.
Overall, I have nothing bad to say about the place. My kids and I very much enjoyed our time there and were sad to have to move out, but I recently lost my job and just couldn’t afford it any longer. They were incredibly understanding and kind about this as well. So, if you’re considering the banks as your new home, I say go for it! It’s definitely the nicest complex in the area, and you really do get what you pay for.

Nice community of people staying there. Only good thing to say.. Overpriced for low quality build. Always dirty. Parking lot is never plowed. And beware you will be charged bogus fees everywhere, and will be ignored when trying to reach out to discuss them. The Banks will not work with you on questions about why they are charging such an exorbitant fee, a collections agency will be the one to contact you.

RUN!!
I rented a 1bedroom 1bath from the banks, it was a 15 month lease that ended on march 30th, 2024. On February 1st, 2024 I gave them my 2 month notice in writing that I was not going to be renewing my lease and would be out by my end of lease date. This was a 58 day notice that I’d be leaving at the end of my lease. BE CAREFUL, per contract you must give them a 60 day notice! They charged me a fee of $3,500.00 for insufficient notice, which is two months of rent. I respected their property, was never late on a payment, never violated any rules or created any issues, and left the unit move in ready. They took my security deposit and sent the rest to collections. This place doesn’t care about you, they care about their money and they will get it by being deceitful. Not worth it!

When I came to see this building it looked absolutely BEAUTIFUL! The staff was super helpful while I was there IN PERSON. This month I was thrown into an inconvenient living situation and needed to move ASAP. It had only been about 3 months since I had last spoken with an agent there about moving in. Would respond to me within a day or so. I tried emailing and CALLING. NO RESPONSE. It’s been TWO weeks since I’ve tried getting info on an available unit to move into asap. But after looking at the reviews more carefully, I wouldn’t move here if it was my only option. Constant 1 star reviews with pictures of MOLD and water damage? No thanks.
