Rarely answer the phone, had my jewelry over 8 months have yet to finish. Will probably NEVER return! And when I do call it’s the same answer, “it should be done next month”.

Wish I would have gone here first, the other repair shop did terrible work and another told me it wasn’t worth them setting up their lazer. A. J. Schmitt Jewelry Store was so kind and understood it was the sentimental value that mattered and agreed to try and repair it. He told me when it would be done and it was. The repair was so beautiful done and the charge was minimal and the workmanship was perfect. I highly recommend them for quality, reliability, reasonable prices, honest and professional service. Was there last spring;and the guy working there ;don't know if he was the owner or not. Needed a ring resized;but he couldn't do it there so I could watch him. Not a problem;so I said in a nice way never mind. He had the nerve to say what are you afraid I'm going to steal the diamonds. It was my mom's wedding set. I just left.

Son seemed nice enough but told me to come back because father who buys was on lunch and when I did I was then told he went upstairs and to try again tomorrow because he prolly won’t come back down and literally said would be in better mood. Then came back next day and was told by the father he couldn’t help me when son said way different. Poor customer service and commitment and poor communication and wasting time is not what I was looking to do. Will take my jewelry to be repaired elsewhere!

Very friendly people. Re-sized my engagement ring perfectly, and I’m sure it wasn’t easy, it had engraving and detailing on it. Looks brand new and the rush cost was very reasonable. My ring was done in a week! Thank you again

David and his representatives have been like family to me. They have always been helpful whether finding or creating the best designs, caring for cleaning and maintaining my property. They are the best “hometown jewelers!” They have been extremely honest and fair as well! Fantastic service. I went in to get my grandmothers ring resized. They told me when and where she would have likely bought it (1970's Chicago area). They resized it and cleaned it very quickly and it looks like a completely different ring! I didn't realize this thing could shine like this. We will definitely be back for regular cleaning and any other repair needs. 10/10

A friend recommended this jewelry shop. I stopped in with a last minute repair on a gold chain. He squeezed me in. You can't tell where it was repaired. Glad to know there is a good jeweler in LaPorte.

I had a great experience at this jewelry store. David did a great job helping me choose jewelry for my wife. We're newer to the area, and learning that David is a third generation jeweler gave me confidence in his recommendations. We will be back!
