We canceled our service as of 9/12/22 and they said they would send us return labels for the equipment and have yet to receive the labels. So today 9/24/22 they took another $190 out of our account and said we won’t get our money back until they receive the equipment which we won’t receive the labels until 9/28/22 and we won’t receive our money back into our account for up to 2-3 weeks after they receive the equipment! It’s funny how fast you can take the money out but how long it takes to put it back! Of course your customer service is like your internet service slow and sucks!! Also I had to give at least one star in order to even post this review, there should be a zero star review option!!

We had our internet shut off due to owing $102. Been a customer for 15 years and they have always received our payment. To have the internet turned back on will cost the $102 that is owed (understandable) plus a $50 fee and the next months payment up front (wth?) As of this moment, i am working with another company for my internet needs. With all the times we have been without internet due to outages...pretty sure mediacom owes me after dealing with them for 15 years

They keep charging me extra even though nothing has changed as far as usage. And when they have outages, they take their time getting it back on. So far it’s been changed 3 times. It keeps getting later and later, before you know it they’ll be working on it during the snow storm we’re supposed to get. I do not suggest them. They’re the only provider in my area so unfortunately I am stuck with them until I move.

Absolutely horrible customer service! I was hung up on 3 times, they failed to process payments and disconnected my service. After telling me it was their fault, the 4th person i talked to, they disconnected service and told me it would be 6 days to reconnect and i would be charged a $49 fee for reconnect. This company is an absolute joke!

This place has terrible representatives, terrible workers, and terrible internet. It’s constantly half the speed I pay for and dropping signal. This is sadly the only internet company in my area. Would not recommend unless absolutely required.

The thing is mediacom has had a monopoly in my area up until recently. Now there’s Starlink and I’m definitely considering my options now. It may be slightly slower but it’s more reliable from what I’m understanding. I work from home and I run a business from how. When I went out today mediacom said they can’t get here until Wednesday. That doesn’t work for me. I’m losing money because of them and they don’t seem to care. If you do decide to go with them take my advice and get your own equipment. That’s what I did a along time ago. And even though they are still unreliable I feel like I loose service slightly less now. Thanks for nothing.

Mediacom is by far the worst most unreliable internet and cable service available. The internet goes out every day, multiple times a day. When I used to have cable with them it frequently went out and showed distortions in the picture due to bad data signals. No matter how many times you get them to come out to fix it, it does not take very long before it falls into this same pattern of unreliability. Constantly dealing with them to get them to fix things is annoying and stressful. Other members of my family, who each live in separate locations, but within this general area, have had the same terrible experience with Mediacom. The only reason I stick with Mediacom is because they have a monopoly on high speed internet service in my area. As soon as any other quality and affordable high speed internet service becomes available, I will drop them. I no longer use cable since I just use streaming services now, but I used to have both cable and internet with Mediacom, but now just internet. Sadly I have been with Mediacom for years now due to lack of other alternatives. If there is even any other options where you live, avoid Mediacom. It looks like they respond to any negative reviews here by requesting people to email them, but if talking to Mediacom could actually fix their terrible service, they would have fixed it years ago. I have already told them time and time again to fix the poor service, and like I mentioned already their "fixes" are only short term lasting.

If I could leave a 0 star I would. My first encounter with the customer service was great but after I found out that I wasn’t supported for wifi even after I was told I was it all went downhill. The technician left the area without telling we weren’t supported until I had to call 4 HOURS LATER and told me im not supported but would go make sure and they never called me telling me they checked again and wasn’t supported again until I had to call THE NEXT DAY. This whole service is a joke and the return modem box was never even sent til I had to call A WEEK LATER. Never use their service

Worst service. Ordered because it's one of the only internet services available to my area. Had to order extenders for the house because it's "too big " for just a modem to work. Well they were supposed to be here before Christmas now waiting until after the New Year. And let's talk about the service. I have to use my phone data more often than not because service is always cutting out and I can be right by the modem.So in short unreliable.I miss my Xfinity and I would even tolerate At&t internet once more over Media-con because it sure is a con.

Their internet service has been good but customer service is horrible. They installed service at one of my neighbor's on a Saturday and I later discovered I lost my internet. I texted them about it and the person said they left a voicemail with the tech to come back and correct it. I waited two hours and never saw anyone come. I contacted them again and was told I would have to wait until Wednesday to have it fixed. So I'm paying for a service that they disconnected. I'm going to see if Ligtel has service in my area.
