I find it amazing that Groupon would actually allow this business to offer another Groupon!!! I had a Groupon that was due to expire in July. I started calling every day in April, leaving messages with no response. I sent emails with no response. I drove to the place of business to make sure there was indeed a business. Of course, it was closed. Finally getting in contact with Groupon, I was told that I could use the money towards another service at the salon. What a joke, I couldn't even get in the door, let alone even consider giving this scam of a business my money. At least Groupon refunded my money.

Like most of the others, I had an awful experience in trying to redeem a Groupon. I say 'trying' because I was not able to do so. I began trying to schedule my appt ore than a month and a half before the promo expired. They don't answer their phone, they don't respond to voicemail, they don't respond to email or to the scheduling tool on their website. They finally sent an automail to me (and to multiple other folks as well, I assume) saying they could not take appts before the promo ends. They offered to let me apply the amount of voucher toward a full-cost mani/pedi, to let me get one service instead of the two promoted in the deal, or to put me on a waiting list. None are reasonable options, IMO. A customer service fail from Groupon as well. I contacted them several times and they informed me they were 'reaching out' to this business. Maybe they did, as I assume that is what prompted that automail. I see from these reviews that others have experienced the same issue w/ Groupon offers. I've asked to have the amount credited to my acct so I can use it to purchase an offer a merchant actually will fulfill. I believe this is what Groupon needs to do to 'make it right,' as they promise on the Groupon site.

I have never been inside this salon. I can only rate them based on their honesty and service, which both seem to be nil at this point where my experience is concerned. I say 'honesty', because while I have a Groupon for a shellac manicure, they seem to have no intentions of honoring it or at least are making it very difficult. They even got rude with my daughter in law when she tried to schedule our visits saying we waited too late in the offering (two weeks before it is over was the LAST time we tried...we even tried three weeks ago with similar results.) Service - ditto. I do not consider it good service to offer a deal and not back it up with any good hope of a client redeeming it. In the meantime, all the while saying they have no or very limited appointment times which have not conflicted with our schedules, they have listed the same deal on another couponing list. Come on! If you can't or won't honor the outstanding ones you already have, why are you offering more? To make even more people angry? I would give no stars, but the tagline "Eek! Methinks not" suits me fine.

I purchased a groupon to secure a service from this salon and found my experience to set up a simple appointment to be a very difficult one. I initially called during business hours at least 5 times before someone finally picked up the phone only to say that they were booked for the next couple of weeks. I found this a little odd but said okay I will try it at a different time. The next time I tried to book an appointment I got the voicemail which said to leave a detailed message of when you needed your appointment and a phone number and I would hear from someone. I never heard from anyone. With that being said, I am a big fan of customer service and I feel that I was not at all appreciated as a paying customer. I would NOT ever recommend this salon.

Several weeks ago I bought a $15 groupon for a Shellac Manicure that promised, "a 30-minute Glami-Cure manicure commences with a gentle hand soak that invites mitts to wallow in its balmy waters before returning to clam digging duty. Cuticle-detailing and nail-filing services groom keratin shields, while staffers gild hands and forearms in a moisturizing lotion. Once high-fiving machines have been sufficiently primed, a vibrant cloak of Shellac polish imbues hands with a glossy finish." This weekend I redeemed my groupon with Christina at Studio Glam Salon. I will give two stars for Studio Glam's use of CND Shellac polish as opposed to off brand soak off gel and for the wide range of services that their salon offers (hair, makeup, permanent makeup, waxing, airbrush tanning, nails, photography, vela shape treatments). I'll even give a third star for the decent work that Chrsitina did on my cuticles. However, the rest of the manicure was fairly disappointing. She started by asking me I filed my nailes straight accross. I said yes. She then filed them sort of round. However, none of them came out to be the same shape. She never buffed the nails. There was also no "moisturizing lotion" involved in this manicure at all. In fact forget the normal hand and forarm massage. That seems to have gone by the wayside at Studio Glam. At $15 thanks to groupon (normal price $30) this was a cheap manicure but not the relaxing experience that I was looking for. *Note on this review: I edited this from three to two stars because the schellac nailpolish which was supposed to last two weeks began seriously chipping off of multiple nails after just 3.5 days. Don't waste your money on this one!
