We booked the Spirit of Jasper for our wedding cocktail hour and it was such a fun and unique venue! We loved the vintage vibe of the lounge car and the bartenders were so nice. We'd highly recommend this space for events!

Yes. Yes. Yes. We did the wine and chocolate ride. It was amazing. The dinner was buffet style. They had 2 kinds of meats, 2 sides, rolls, and salad. In addition to the wine tasting, there was a drink car you could order more drinks. The seats were comfortable, the train staff were absolutely wonderful. The chocolate was delicious. We will be returning! The ride was beautiful in the fall. The cornfields are high and they foliage is beautiful against the sunset.

The Spirit of Jasper Train Excursion in Jasper, Indiana is a great way to spend the afternoon. It's a beautiful little town with tons of history. The train excursion lasts about 2 hours, food is served on board, and there's a limited bar for your adult beverages. The crew is primarily volunteers and do an amazing job! The train is comfortable with different seating in each of the cars, from seats and a table, couches, and booths.

An amazing affordable experience where pizza and A League of Their Own throwback back game at the stadium where the movie was filmed is the perfect combination paired with this train excursion experience.

where do I start dinner train? Let's start with that. If you're looking for a nice dinner and nice scenery for a good price, then skip this one.At 90.00 each The dinner is basically a picnic dinner on paper plates and the train doesn't even move while eating. Self serving by the way. They need to hire new catering. That is a MUST It was the worst. It literally made me sick no kidding we had pulled pork and barbecue chicken. The barbecue chicken was literally chicken strips breaded soaked in barbecue sauce, noodles salad was carrots with oil cheesy potatoes, basically cheese minus the sour cream with potatoes that weren't cooked baked beans, coleslaw, and no bun for the barbecue pork sandwich for dessert. It was apple crisp filling but no apples and burnt on top. The best part of the trip are the volunteers. Yes volunteers no one is getting paid except the bartender and the engineer. Please leave them a tip. There's a kind of sweetest older people that's about it the train takes you through a swampy woods .

Took the Fall Foliage ride, at $65 it was quite a disappointment. You definitely live and learn but I can assure everyone I will never waste my money like this again, and we had a group of 6. The train was beautiful I'll give you that and personnel were nice. The experience though as a whole was bottom of line. I figured since it was the Fall Foliage ride you know we would travel somewhere other than behind mills and buildings in Jasper and Huntingburg. You stop to eat which took forever just to turn back around and head back. For a 2 1/2 hour trip it was a waste of time and money.I would honestly not recommend.

We rated this experience a 1. We have been on several train rides but this one was extremely disappointing. The cars are beautiful but far from an exquisite dinner experience as advertised. The food was good and the train personnel were friendly and accommodating. However, we traveled to the soybean field and stopped for dinner. They didn't know how to line us up in the car to self serve ourselves. Finally figured it out after a while and everyone got to eat. We didn't realize it was a work-to-eat dinner train and at $65 each was too much for what you ate and experienced. First-come seating is not the way as well. Too much confusion, even though we were first in the station and 8th on the train, we were able to get a 2-top table and basically next to LAST to get our food. You live and learn from experience. I hope this train can be successful in the future but their services are going to need upgrading or customer's will disappear.

Do not expect to have a private, intimate date night on the Chocolate Wine and Dine excursion unless you show up to board EARLY. They sell by seats, not by party. While there were a few 2 top tables available, it was first come first board. We showed up 1/2 hour before departure and the line was already long. By the time we boarded, all the 2-tops were taken and we had to chose a 4-top table and ended up sharing our table with another couple. I think there were groups of 4-6 who also had to split up due to the open seating arrangements. We had a lovely evening but it was not an intimate one like I was anticipating. Also know the dinner is buffet-style.. the train stops for a period of time while everyone gets their food and eats.I wish I would have known this information ahead of time so I could better prepare.

Disappointing for the money I paid. Food wasn't very good, the scenery was awful. The best part about the trip was chatting with the bartenders. Definitely not worth $65 a person for the fall foliage ride.
