Absolutely no integrity. Lied to our son and basically stole his money.

Stay away from this place. Rich the owner also sells used cars. My son bought a car from him that he said he serviced for 10 years, yet he knew nothing about the huge electrical issue. After we transacted with him, we had to jump the car every morning. We are pretty sure he jumped the car before we arrived and said nothing about it. Now my son has to spend several hundred $$s to even get the car started. Unfortunetly, Rich is not an honest person and not a good mechanic if he didn't even know about this issue. We approached him and he knew nothing about this, yet each mechanic I took it too, immediately knew there was a problem with the charging and electrical system. Stay away from buying anything for him or having him service your vehicles. It is sad someone like this can take advantage of a teen-ager who has limited funds.

I am in my 50's and have been looking for a good auto repair shop for a long, long time. Well I found one! The young man that helped me was professional, and knowledgeable. They showed me the parts they had to replace, why they needed replacement. They also lubricated bearings/joints while they were trouble shooting,no charge. They also went out of their way to save me money when I know other big name shops would have charged additional for unnecessary parts and labor.I highly recommend "The Pit Stop ",best auto repair shop I ever went to. Customer for life. Anthony F.

We have had our vehicles worked on at The Pitt Stop for a number of years and have been pleased with the service/results. Rich (the owner) is very good about asking questions/understanding the problem(s) when a vehicle is brought in, calling with an estimate before any work is done and saving the old parts so that we can look at them to get a better understanding of what needed to be repaired/replaced, and why.

These guys know their stuff, I've had lots of work done here, and they always do it right, I have lots of vehicles repaired being a used car facility and Rich and the boys can do it, timing belts, mufflers, brake jobs, engine repairs of any size or stature, transmissions, electrical problems, they know it all. You won't go wrong with this shop. I especially like that they take their time to make sure of what the problem really is, with vehicle these days one code could mean many things, but he looks the way to resolve it not just put a part in and hope like the new car facility's do. Trust me, you won't go wrong here, give this a call, its your and my wallet, let them do it right the first time.

The Pit Stop is undoubtedly a hidden gem...I have the Pit Stop maintain all Four of my vehicles...Not once have I had a bad experience...The reason I do go back everytime is the straightforward honesty...Rich and Bob don't stop until the problem is fixed and as like anywhere else, sometimes things don't go as planned and it does take longer than what was quoted...Bottom line is they look out for you and not you're wallet...

Bought a car from here once. All the parts he said he replaced were replaced with cheap off brand parts that didn't last, were still loose after he replaced them, or just didn't change the parts he said he did. After walking around the shop and talking to Rich I assumed he was a good church going Christian man, after having dealt with him first hand and seeing his work, I hope that our God is very forgiving. On a second note if you're looking for a YouTube mechanic that still can't get the job done right, Richard is your guy and Pit Stop is the place to go. Guy across the street, named Rock, at Rocks Auto is reputable if you're in Jamestown needing auto repair. He just has long waits.

I brought my car in for what I thought was a simple muffler fix. The guy, Rich, not only used his snake oil sales pitch and tried to convince me to get everything done from A to Z on my daughter's car. He quoted me as total would come to 900. My husband asked him to not to the extra repairs. The guy RICH, never wrote up a work order, and never called to tell me he had done anything else. When i went to pick up the car, the bill was over 1300.00 on fuel filters, a new timing belt, exhaust, muffler and tune up. All without my written or VERBAL approval.
