I have been very patient as Walgreens has been my go-to pharmacy for 17 years. Since moving to the East side in 2022 I have had consistent issues with filling prescriptions here. In the past 6 months their hours have expanded and it has been easier to reach the pharmacy compared to being on hold for an hour plus. However, I am still struggling to get my scripts filled. Nearly every time I have refills or new scripts they say they never received them from the Dr. So I have to call my Dr. every time to resend. And I have to repeatedly call and follow up with Walgreens. This is the first horrible experience I’ve had with Walgreens and I’m switching after having enough. It should not take over a week to fill a script. Critical life-saving medicine. This is 100% something Indiana dept. of health needs to look into.

The only reason I wrote this review was to celebrate a nice associate named Elizabeth. She is the reason I continuously shop at Walgreens. She is super helpful and informative. (Especially on sales and clearance)

Last year this time they’d be randomly closed during business hours, apparently due to no staff and pharmacy was super slow and unresponsive. I’ve noticed they haven’t been randomly closed for at least 5 months! Also the pharmacy appears to be going faster.

I had to go to the doctor because of a severe back ache that ended up being caused by my sciatica. My doctor prescribed two medicines.I waited about two hours to go to Walgreens where I had my doctor send the scripts to, and the guy behind the counter was muttering that they weren't "contracted" for those medicines and it would be full price even with insurance. He would not send the script to another pharmacy and told me I had to get my doctor's office to change pharmacies.*UPDATE* I got an email the very next day from Walgreens stating my prescription was ready, even though I had already had my doctor's office send it to Kroger to refill and had picked it up the same day as my doctor's visit.Just stay away from these buffoons.

Sent a script here for whatever reason no one called to tell me they couldn't fill it... I'm standing there looking at him and I ask okay fine you can't who can... literally said "I don't know"...okay can you send it to pharmacy XXX and they tell me they cant... you have a script that you can't fill nor send to one that can (i know for a fact you can this happened with a different insurance a few years ago)This is completely unacceptable of Walgreens staff. The guy was incompetent to be at the pharmacy checkout. Indianapolis health department needs to look at this pharmacy before they harm someone!

The pharmacy really shows you, you’re on the east side. They was supposed to have the medication ready yesterday. It wasn’t ready today, I go there the lady who talked to me said it be ready in 10 minutes. Liar. Cause when I sent my SO up there he waited close to an hour. At this point I’m convinced they seek to hire the nastiest, meanest, most lazy people they can find in Indiana. I know nothing is going to be done. So if you like waiting an hour go here. They will definitely make sure you wait forever. For important medication. It’s bad.

The staff/assistants at the pharmacy are nice women but medication is NEVER ready even if you wait 3-5days after the script has been sent in so you dont have to wait at the store. The fact that you'll still have to wait in line 40 min and then another 30 min to get your medication is absolutely insane. Have physical health issues that keep you from sitting or standing for long periods of time and if you do it causes you ridiculous pain? Walgreens pharmacy is not the place to have fill your prescriptions. The drive-thru is always closed too. Those poor ederly persons doing their best to hang on in line to get life saving medication. It's so sad. It's not just this location either. It truly goes to show just how much this billion dollar corporation cares about You, their customers. They don't. Otherwise, they'd expand the budget for at least 1 more pharmacist. Greed at its finest Ladies and Gentlemen.

The pharmacy never fills the prescription when they receive it from my doctor which causes more wait time. When you call, it says processing and that will go on for days . The drive thru is never open much which causes you to have to go in,being around other sick people and having to take your children inside to wait in a long line. You've lost our business, yesterday was the last time for me.

This Walgreens may in fact have the worst customer service on the Eastside of Indianapolis, which is not an easy feat. God help you if you need to get a pharmacist on the phone, or even just a straight answer from anyone who works in this pharmacy. I called 3 times in the past week, simply trying to find out how long my much needed medication would be out of stock. Each time, I was told by the tech that I had to speak to the dispensing pharmacist. The first call, I gave up after 25 minutes of holding. The second call, I held for the pharmacist around 30 minutes, before getting a message saying the pharmacy had closed for lunch and would not be taking my call at that time. The third call, I held for around 25 minutes again, and then a tech picked up the phone, asked if I was still there, and informed me that the pharmacist said he could have my medication ready in about 30 minutes. Very happy with this news, I went down to the pharmacy, only to be told by the tech that the medication was still out of stock. Bring back the Mom and Pop pharmacies. Walgreens Pharmacy, in general, is consistently awful.

What is it with this Walgreens? A manager and some cashiers behave as if they're doing me a favor by ringing up my purchases. Zero attempts to be gracious and polite, and their tone is rude. I stopped using their pharmacy a couple of years ago for the same reason. Does Walgreens executive management ever read these reviews? It doesn't appear so.

The pharmacy is consistently - as in every single time - extremely understaffed. I wait in line 45 minutes to an hour every single time I am there. They consistently send text messages saying prescriptions are ready but then you get there and nope just kidding they aren't ready and you have to wait an additional half hour ON TOP of the hour you just spent in line. They don't communicate at all about delays, which can be a huge problem if you are dependet on your medication. There have been several times where I have had to go a few days without the medications that help keep me alive simply because the pharmacy failed to communicate the delay. Forget about getting ahold of them over the phone. I will be changing my pharmacy location and strongly encourage other people to go to a different pharmacy. They really need to divert their patients to other locations until they get their staffing issues under control because it is not fair or safe for their patients who depend on these medications. No hate to the staff themselves, they are doing the best they can. It's the company that needs to get it together.

They can not seem to keep the pharmacy staffed. It makes it really hard to get medicine if no one works there. They should just close the pharmacy and not waste anyone's time.
