I went in and bought a few things and ended up spending $11. Understandable for inflation but indeed the customer service was appalling. An older looking associate gave me weird glances like I was about to steal. Eerie looks indeed. I would warn people from shopping at this location. Shop at another location or store. Save yourself the time and patience. Some people need to have a more courteous tone in customer service.

How are you walgreens and not have a public bathroom for paying customers hella rude indian woman at the front why do u work in customer service if you don't have any and you're rude to customers so not the walgreens brand get yourself a new job you're obviously burnt out and people don't deserve to be treated the way you treat them just because you are lazy and don't want to maintain restrooms

Located on the southwest corner of W 16th St and N Meridian St. Was in the area on an out of town trip and needed to pick up a prescription. My health care system sent over a prescription to this location and the pharmacy processed it with no issues. Shortly after my prescription was sent over to Walgreens, the pharmacy called me to let me know it was ready for pick-up. The pharmacist at the counter was super helpful, clear, and concise when providing me with instruction on how to take the medication. Didn't rush the interaction and was available to answer any question I may have had.

The whole pharm counter closes midday for lunch. They don't stagger lunch breaks. They don't list it on their hours of operation.

Update: (Two years later) This is an example of how one employee can change a customer's opinion of a business. I brought my rating up from one star to four because of the genuine kindness of the pharmacy manager.Yesterday, I was in the store looking at remedies for poison ivy. The pharmacy manager approached my friend and I and said, "poison ivy?" I'm sure my red-swollen face was easy to spot! I didn't see the product that I usually get for this and asked him for his advice. He advised me to wash the infected area with dish soap five times in a row to wash away the ooze. Dry the area and use hydrocortisone cream for the inflammation. Since I had this at home, I ended up saving about $15. I followed his advice and it made a huge difference. He could've walked right by, saying nothing, and I wouldn't have though anything about it. Because he stopped, expressed concern and offered advice, my entire impression of this Walgreens changed. I told him how appreciative I was, we chatted for a moment and I was on my way. I also noticed how nice the store looked. Thank you, Mr. Pharmacist! I'll be back for whatever I may need in the future!*******"My Walgreens"... A Super Spreader Store....The evening before Thanksgiving, I stopped by this Walgreens to pick up some much needed Draino. When I approached the checkout counter, one cashier was helping another customer. At the other checkout, there was an obese man with his mask pulled down to his chin. He was loudly going on and on with the cashier, potentially spreading whatever diseases he may have had. I stayed far away while he was there. At the same time, the cashier was motioning me to check out with her. I continued until he left the area. From his attire, he looked like a security guard (?) for Walgreens. He finally left the area and sat, maskless, at a chair near the entrance (presumably for customers). I asked the cashier if he worked there. She said yes. Meanwhile, maskless in his chair, he sounded like he was coughing up a lung. I asked to see the store manager to report this. The cashier said there WASN'T A MANAGER OR SUPERVISOR ON DUTY! I pretty much went ballistic on the poor cashier. SHAME ON WALGREENS! Your employees don't follow Covid safety guidelines, are unsupervised, yet you're going to distribute the vaccine!?! SHAME! SHAME! SHAME ON WALGREENS!

I had to wait to pick up my pictures, while the cashier was servicing 1 customer. Another employee walked past me and said nothing. No one acknowledge me until 10 mins later. Once acknowledged, the cashier gave me my pictures and told me i had to wait again. Mind you, behind 8 other people who weren’t there while i was already waiting. Rude service and very unprofessional. Do better and treat customers the way you would like to be treated.

I was denied service from Robin an old African American female because I didn’t hand her the item I was purchasing, she claims that because I am Hispanic and young, that I owe her customer service skills, as if I was getting paid to hand her the item and stand as she completes the purchase. Robin owes me and the Hispanic community an apology.

The absolute worst pharmacy in existence. Was in the ER completely unable to see out of left eye. Praying my site will not be damaged permanently and am following up with Ophthalmologist Monday. These meds are important they are for temporary treatment/maintaining/pain. The doctors sent the prescriptions to Walgreens on 16th twice and they still claimed they didn’t receive it. They are completely lazy just not wanting to work because it’s an hour before close. This pharmacy in unprofessional, lack empathy and work ethics.

This was by far the worst experience I have ever had at a Walgreens let alone ANY store in general. My husband, 7 yr old daughter and I came down to Indy for the weekend for an event my husband taking part in. Now, I'm more familiar with Indy/downtown Indy and get the type of people and/or issues they might have to deal with. But to be treated the way I was, was absolutely unacceptable by staff. We finished dinner after a long day, my daughter didn't say until in the car she had a really bad headache and stomach was bothering her so I stopped real quick before they closed to get her some medicine. Got said medicine and like 3 other little things, started walking up to the register to see staff and the security guard at the end of the aisle. One of the older ladies looked at me and said "OH HELL NO! You didn't hear us up front say we are closed?!" I honestly hadn't because I was focusing on what I was looking for and I tune people out when I'm in a store because of my anxiety. One of the other ladies said she can't ring me up which I get, so I quickly put things back as the other older lady kept commenting "uh no, that ain't right. I don't like that". When I came back up, doors were locked so I waited by them. Older lady told the security guard to sweep the store and make sure there was no one else as if I was a freaking criminal plotting something. This whole time I had kept apologizing over an honest mistake. Once the guard came back up and unlocked the doors, the older lady motioned me to get out. I felt the absolute worst, I apologized again to her and said I was just trying to get medicine for my daughter to which she half ass apologized. I hurried out to my car and broke down. It was just then 10:02. The staff needs to do fucking better. You work in customer service, this is your JOB. If you don't want to deal with people, then don't work in this type of position. I work with people day in and out in a professional setting, if I ever acted this way to someone, I would be fired so damn fast. Staff needs to be better trained and have some empathy.

The worst customer service I have ever experienced from a pharmacy. It took two weeks just to get my medication transferred to Walgreens. Then it took a month almost to have my online account accessed to. The main office kept playing games with it. I’m constantly being told one thing and another thing happens. I can’t even get them to give me the correct medication on time without a screw up

After a long day at work, I decided to run an errand to pick up a few things from here. I decided while there to just browse, as one literally always does at a store. As I was standing in the makeup aisle, the store manager yelled across an aisle to me in a very rude tone "ma'am can I help you find something????" as if I was doing something wrong by browsing. It wasn't past hours, and I paid for all of my purchases afterwards. I genuinely do not understand how someone can get a power trip from being a manager or something of a freaking Walgreens. The cashier was sweet though. But never will I let someone address me like that in public ever again. Tone is everything to me & if he had an issue, he should have addressed it to me rather than yelling at me across the store. I'm so done.

To a great extent, this probably goes for pharmacy stores in general...But these places seem absolutely ruthless in pursuing profit - much like Big Pharma and the entire US medical service industries behave in general. The modus operandi seems to be to draw in sick or elderly patients who can't and won't go comparison shopping; and who are only going to shop at the 1 store where they get their medicine. Then, effectively holding a monopoly over these vulnerable individuals, the policy is to charge outrageously high prices, and rake in the $$$.Again, I don't think it's fair to single out Walgreen's, or this particular location. Nevertheless, this ruthless pursuit of business profits strikes me as utterly outrageous, and frankly criminal whether "legal" or "unprosecuted," whatever social Darwinist and Libertarian and Objectivist crapola is at the root of American neoliberal economic attitudes. And in case it is not apparent, the US is increasingly falling down the charts in decent countries to live, especially in regards to life expectancy... although part of that comes from such disgusted cynicism that it's no wonder so many opt for suicide nowadays.
