They try harder to get you the best deal versus a corporate Verizon store. I’ve always been treated extremely well here.

Bait and switch - beware!
Got a new phone last year and was told it was "free" because we upgraded our plan. They made a mistake in their system (honest one, I believe), but even have notes showing I was supposed to receive this discount.
We're out over $300 because of the salesman's mistake - and it is literally recorded in their system. They submitted for a refund and it was rejected by corporate, with no explanation. I asked if I should get an attorney because it's so black and white and was told (by a local manager) "they will bury you with attorneys. It will be a waste of your time."
Shocked at how poor this experience has been and the lack of follow up or accountability.

I got my Samsung phone through Verizon, so naturally I thought I could stop at this Verizon store to help with a setting I couldn't locate. I was driving by it anyways. The first thing I noticed was a sticker on the door starting something to the effect of "Independent Retailer." I cringed. From past experiences, I know to only go to "Corporate" stores for the best deals and help. I thought that my question would be relatively simple for someone familiar with Android, so I went in. I see three employees sitting at their desks. One yells across the store a greeting. I walk over to his desk and explained my question. He responded that he didn't know. That they pretty much just sell and set up phones and that I should probably contact Samsung. I asked if anyone else might know, he said no. I left, thinking how could Verizon allow such a business to pass themselves off as one of their own. Later, I searched for my question online and quickly found the answer (something he could've done to build customer relations). What if I had bought my phone there and got that lack of effort for a simple question? I'd probably never get another Verizon phone, that's what would've happened.So, a warning to every Verizon customer... "Verizon" on the building doesn't make it a Verizon store. Always search for a Verizon Corporate store.

I have a competing carrier's service, but when my phone froze, this was the only store closest to me. The salesman was kind enough to help me figure out the issue even though I don't have Verizon. THAT is service.
