This was an atrocious experience and I hope this review provides some sort of transparency for those looking for a repair center, since the business did not provide any transparency whatsoever. We had a backing accident earlier this year. It was a preventable incident, but it happened and created a dent that we needed fixed. We backed our work truck into our personal truck in the farm drive. The speed was less than 5 mph. This created a large dent in the rear driver side quarter panel. Our insurance said we needed to take the truck to a "Ford certified" repair center because of aluminum. We were given choices and chose Tom Wood Collision Center because of the Tom Wood name. We reached out, they provided an estimate to insurance for the cost (understanding that there may be additional costs) of a little over $3,000. Insurance approved it. We set an appointment to drop it off and go over the process (which got moved to later but that is not the issue). In September, we drove the truck down and dropped it off and met with an "estimator." They stated they would text every T/Th with updates on the repair status. That lasted for two weeks. We reached out and kept getting replies such as: "Coop's hours were changed and he is off today but we will have him get back to you." Or, "Sorry about the delay. We are changing your text days to M/W." Eventually, over two weeks after they took possession of the truck, we were notified they were actually disassembling it to "look for hidden damage." (read: charge more money.) We were actually notified by the insurance company of the completion of this step because they sent a notice that they had only approved a portion of the additional $6,000 in "hidden" damages. After nearly 9 weeks of having the truck, we finally set our own date to retrieve it and received a message that it was going for spray lining. We asked for them to hold off on that and just give us the truck. They did not. They knew we were arriving yet the truck was not available. Once they retrieved the truck from spray lining, they stated it needed washed. TWO hours later, when it felt that they were intentionally dragging their feet to prove some point, we recruited a manager. We finally left the premises with the truck at 1:15pm (nearly 5 hours after we arrived to pick it up) after being required to pay nearly $3,000 out of pocket to cover even more charges that they found and would send to insurance. We ultimately ended up nearly $2,000 out of pocket for expenses such as a 2.5 hour "airbag" inspection due to a "collision" and a "seatbelt" inspection. I understand charges that are in addition to or over and above what insurance will cover but to have the final invoice inflated by over two times the original estimate was completely unreasonable. Do your due diligence. This company is completely non-transparent. They lack in adequate communication and overcharge. Buyer beware.

DON'T RECOMMEND TOM WOOD COLLISION CENTERI scheduled my truck repair on Jan 20 2023 my appointment was April 6th which Tom Wood canceled re scheduled for Sept 19 2023. 2 2 week after dropping it off Tom Wood disassembled my truck (after knowing it was scheduled for 8 months) Insurance stated $3200 repair, knowing there would be more money needed once vehicle was disassemble. Tom Wood wanted $9200. It only needed the outer bed skin. This damage happened when I back into it with my other truck. Low impact less than 5 mph. Truck was parked not running and Noone in the vehicle. Aluminum bed skin needed replaced.Otherwise repair shop needed per Ford Company.Communication was random at best. I had to ask before I would get a reply, your vehicle is next in line, then it's with a technician. Then we are waiting on insurance. On Oct 19th 2023, I had to drive to Tom Wood collision center to find out what was taking so long to repair my truck. This is when I found out the were charging me for parts that my truck didn't need and charging me for $150 checking my seat belts $150 for airbag check. The truck was not in a wreck and no one was in the vehicle. No good reason was given to me on why these charges were being done.I continued to contact Tom Wood no less than 2 times a week following my trip there for updates on my truck. At the end week 7 I was told my truck is reassembled we will contact you. 4 days later I once again asked Tom Wood Collision Center for an update. I that time I was told we have a vendor scheduled for spray in bedliner and it would not be done for 4 more days. I told them don't do the spray in bedliner. I told them I was coming to pick my truck up Nov 16th 2023 DO NOT DO THE SPRAY IN BEDLINER. I told them 3 days in a row NOT to spray the bed.The only part needing sprayed were the 6 bolts which hold the bed on.I get a ride on Nov 16th to Tom Wood Collision Center I arrived 830am. I was told my truck wasn't there it was at the vendor. Yes they sprayed the bed after I told them multiple times not to.I was told at 920am My truck back and the had to wash it. At 1230pm after multiple times asking the ladies at the front desk what is going on, they had a manager come out. He was ask why doesn't Tom Wood Collision Center want to give me my truck ?I was handed an invoice for $2709 ( I have a $500 deductible) Once again the manager ask to come out to explain why I was paying for seat belt check$150 airbag check $150 12v check $90, why I was charged for 100 rivets when only 34 were used. He had no good explanation only saying Ford required it as he handed my a 100 page report of recommendation for Ford when a vehicle was in a wreck not a requirement as they tell people. There is so much more to this bad decision I made of bringing my truck Tom Wood Collision Center. So Tom Wood Collision Center over charging cost me $2209 over what it should have been. They give you a good sales pitch when you drop your vehicle off but they don't follow through with any of it.I tell everyone I talk to DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH TOM WOOD.I personally talked with a gentleman going through the same thing the day I picked my truck up. I was there 6 hours that day.I know Tom Wood CEO doesn't care about me and I know they stoll $2200 dollars from me and I'll never get it back. Just hoping this review will save someone else from being taken advantage of and paying for work not done and parts not usedHorrible business practice.

Josh, Ashley, and the staff helped us through a long, difficult, and tense process with the insurance company (Clearcover; avoid them) of the driver who hit our vehicle. They demonstrated great understanding and integrity. No one wants to be in an accident, but Tom Wood Collision is a quality operation.

Quality of the work was fine, but work did not begin until over 3 weeks after the "scheduled" drop off date ("schedule" is not a word that Tom Wood Collision understands the meaning of) -- when I showed up in person, THEN they wheeled the car into the shop and said they had started, and THEN began an additional five week delay before the work was completed. I was called to ask if after-marked parts were OK and I said yes, and then a full week later got an "update" that Subaru parts were being ordered. When I went to pick up the vehicle, the charge was well over what insurance paid, and I was NEVER asked if that additional charge was acceptable to me.I like my Subaru and have been happy with regular maintenance, but the body shop was the worst experience I've ever had with a businessl

Windshield repair service review: 10/23/23Overall we were satisfied with the service received, but communication could have been better. I worked Robert on the drop off, and he did an awesome job communicating what to expect when I dropped off the car. He clearly explained that the windshield would be installed that day and taken to Porsche for the calibration work the next day. I dropped the car off on a Monday, 9/16/23 and the car was available for pick up on Wednesday 9/18/23.The poor communication occurred prior to drop off.During that time I was corresponding with Louis, who was very helpful when I contacted Auto Detail Plus initially on 9/18/23. That morning Louis emailed a request for information regarding the windshield damage. I responded to his email immediately and provided the requested information. At that point I did not receive any further communication, but assumed that they were busy and left a follow-up voicemail the next day and also the following day (with no response). My husband was finally able to reach Louis on 9/20/23.Louis emailed the estimate to us that day; we approved the work but were unable to reach him again in order to make the initial payment for the parts. We left another voicemail and email to approve the work. Louis called my husband back the next day and we paid for the parts. We were told the parts would arrive in around 3 days. There were no updates on parts for the next 9 days. We left a voicemail for status update on 9/29/23 and in response, we received an email update from Louis informing us that the parts had not arrived. We had no issue waiting, but would have appreciated better communication.Louis, sent us an email update on Wednesday 10/4/23 to inform us that the parts had not arrived but should arrive that Friday. Louis sent us another email update on 10/10/23 to inform us that the parts for our car had arrived and to finally schedule our drop off for the repair. So 16 working days overall to receive the parts and another 2 days to complete the work.Overall still satisfied but continued communication throughout the process is always a plus for good customer service.Service: Auto windshield repair

Excellent Customer Service and support from Ashley and Kayla, the Collision Center’s Receptionist’s, who will answer all of your questions regarding your claim and insurance coverage. They’ll have your rental car available and be available to you throughout the whole process. I’m a single, senior woman and this was a great help. Zack, the estimator, texted me daily about the progress of my repair and was very conscientious, patient and knowledgable. Josh, the General Manager did a great job overseeing the repair of my Forester and completing it in good time. Enterprise Car Rental Service next door was helpful in many ways. Thank you Tom Wood Collision Center!!Services: Painting

I am very disappointed with my experience with Tom Wood Collision. I dropped off my five-year-old, base model Porsche with what appeared to be very minimal damage on 6/26. After dropping my car off, a claims person from Progressive called me to ask if I wanted to have my car moved to another shop as Tom Wood is notorious for adding charges that no other body shops would add to a quote. I called Tom Wood to see about having my car moved and the manager assured me that the $2,500 steering column charge that Progressive mentioned would not be applicable to my car. When I asked about out of pocket, I was told that it would likely be the difference between the mechanical rate that Progressive bills at and Tom Wood's rate and was given a ballpark of $1,500 by the manager over the phone. I was okay with that dollar amount.I communicated with David from Tom Wood via text. I repeatedly nicely asked for updates on the dollar amount and ETA. David either didn't respond to these texts or responded days later with vague answers. On 8/2, after my car had been at Tom Wood for 4.5 weeks, I called and requested an update and was told that they would need to get with a production manager. I also called the Progressive claims agent. He informed me that the quote was for over $15k and I would likely be out of pocket $11k. While I can appreciate that Tom Wood takes following Porsche standards seriously, this is not a 918, this is a little summer car. If I had any idea that it would be 11K out of pocket, I would have moved my car to another shop when I had the opportunity on 6/27.I asked the Progressive claims agent to have my car towed and moved to another body shop before Tom Wood could start on their repair as I was not willing to spend $11k out of pocket. Progressive was able to have the car moved to another shop. I had to pay over $4k which included several parts which Tom Wood Collision broke. While I would happily pay for labor, I think a storage charge for a car that was in disassembly for 4 weeks is a bit excessive. I will never do business with Tom Wood again.

My experience with Tom Wood Collision was wonderful. The ladies at the fronk desk were super nice and helpful. My estimator Zack was awesome and made the process stress free and smooth for me. The process was long but expected with insurance communication and getting parts in. My car looks fantastic!

DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE. This has been the worst experience ever when it comes to getting our car fixed. There was only a couple thousand dollars worth of repairs & Josh, the general manager, listed tens of thousands of extra dollars in damage THAT WASN’T EVEN THERE. We had the car taken to another collision center to get quoted & it is clear as day of how twisted this place is.We tried to get our car back & Josh, the general manager, stated “good luck getting your car back.”Not only are they twisted, but completely unprofessional. If you take your car here, you are setting yourself up for a headache. They will try to rip you off just to get cash from insurance companies.Something needs to be done about this place & the way they manage. Our family can’t believe this Josh guy is still running the store.Advice anyone you know to STAY AWAY. I’m saving you the time. You’re welcome.

On 22JUN2023 I left my 2014 Audi Q7 with Tom Wood Collision (TWC) so they may repair the vehicle from being hit by someone earlier in the year. At the time I dropped off the vehicle, the employee (Coop) instructed me that they would need to disassemble the vehicle in the area where the vehicle was struck, in order to generate a quote. He stated he would submit the quote to the insurance company and any additional information they needed. Since I was working with the insurance of the other driver, TWC had to generate a quote to submit to the insurance company. I was initially informed by the insurance company that they would cover the cost of the repair since I had already taken the vehicle to another body shop who generated a quote per the insurance company's request. 29JUN2023 TWC submitted the quote to the insurance company. 11JUL2023 the insurance company initially stated that based on the quote from TWC they would total the vehicle and they would take ownership. I requested that they reevaluate my case since I was informed that the vehicle would be repaired, and my family preferred the vehicle to be repaired. They agreed to reevaluate. On 28JUL2023 I was informed that they still determined that the vehicle would be total loss, but I could keep ownership of the vehicle. On 28JUL2023 I informed Coop at TWC of the insurance company's decision. He informed me that they cannot repair a total loss vehicle. As a result, I informed him that I would have the vehicle towed to a different collision center for the repair. He informed me that in order for the vehicle to be released to a towing company the balance of the bill would need to be paid. I was aware of any bill since they failed to inform of such. I asked what the bill amount was. He stated he would need to make that determination and call me back, which he never did. I called Coop on 31JUL2023. He informed me that the invoice was for $7489.42. I asked what the invoice consisted of. He stated it consisted of labor to disassemble the vehicle, an alignment, administrative fees, and a storage fee. I requested that he email me the invoice which he never did. On 31JUL2023 I called TWC and asked for a manager, and they transferred me to Josh P. at which time I left a message. The manager called me back on 03AUG2023. He stated that he reviewed the invoice, and I was given the incorrect balance. He stated the invoice was $2269.96. I informed him I would need to discuss with my family what we wanted to do. I called Josh on 04AUG2023 and left a message. I called Josh on 07AUG2023 and left a message. I called Josh on 08AUG2023 and left a message. I called Josh on 09AUG2023 and left a message. I called the general office number on 09AUG2023 and spoke to Rhonda (Customer Service) who was not able to help me but did inform me that Josh was out and would not return until 14AUG2023 and I would hear from him then. I did not hear from Josh on the 14AUG2023. I called Josh on 15AUG2023 and left a message. I called Josh on 17AUG2023 and left a message. I called Josh on 21AUG2023 and left a message. Josh finally called me on 22AUG2023. He stated he would send the invoice to my email, which he did. I reviewed the invoice. I called Josh on 23AUG2023 and left a message. He called me back and I informed him that I would be willing to pay all fees except for the storage fee of $975. This is due to extremely poor service, TWC failing to inform me of any fees and my family being without our family vehicle, while the insurance company and TWC came to a decision. He stated that he would not reduce the invoice balance. Since they had vehicle, I had to pay the invoice so I could get my vehicle to a collision center so it could be repaired. The vehicle was disassembled in several pieces. I had to load all the parts to my truck myself. Not one person helped load any of the parts. Once the vehicle was towed and we started assessing the parts we learned they did not give us the door panels. Therefore, I had to make a second trip from Greenwood to TWC again. Please avoid this place.

I am very dissatisfied with my experience at Tom Wood Collision. After waiting two months for an appointment, my car was in the shop for repair of a rear fender bender for four months. (see attached picture of car damage) The final bill was $14,058 despite very few replacement parts or repairs being needed. Coordination and communication with my insurance company was poor. I did receive weekly texts with standard messages like ‘ your car is in line, waiting to be taken apart’, but no personal communication as to the reason for four months in the shop. No loaner car was offered. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this shopServices: Tires

First, I will start with the positives. The front desk staff was super helpful and very attentive. Unfortunately, that is where the positives stop for my experience. My car was with Tom Wood Collision for 2 months. No repairs were even started until the last two weeks of that time. My service representative was less than helpful or timely. I understand and appreciate there were some back and forth with the insurance company but this should not have taken that long to repair. In the end, I got my car back and it's still not completed. To add insult to injury, the final amount owed grew from ~$1.1K to ~$2.4K. When asked why the difference I was told there were some "scans" that were not included and the price of the parts quoted came in more than anticipated. Over double the quoted amount in ~15 days is completely unacceptable. I ended up paying the expenses out of pocket just to get my car back. Not only did that cost me but the additional time I had to have a rental car cost me an additional $500. Being the only "Audi certified" repair shop apparently does not come with the typical service I would expect from Audi. I am considering not getting another Audi because of this experience.Service: Body & Trim

I had a very positive experience dealing with Tom Wood Collision. My contact Kyle was very helpful, answered all of my questions and got the job done quickly. I would highly recommend using them for any auto repairs in the future. My 2019 Honda CRV looks as good now as it did when I bought it new in 2019.Services: Painting
