I’ve been a tenant at The Maryden since June of 2022, and have loved it! There were some initial maintenance kinks with my unit that came up early on (while the building’s maintenance and overall property teams were being switched!). These took a little bit more time to fix as a result, but Kenny has always taken great care of things for me!! Blocked drains, repainting the pantry after my A/C condensate pan leaked from a newly loose seal, etc. - he’s been fantastic. I’ve not run into the other guys as much, but they’ve all recently replaced the sidewalk at the back of the building, as well as water softeners/heaters, which has been awesome. There are also now Parcel Pending lockers outside of the building, which makes package deliveries a breeze! Overall, I’m very happy with my experiences here so far, and look forward to being a tenant here for awhile longer!

I moved in around the time new management took over. Lease signing and move-in were smooth — Gavin was great with communication. Kenny and Chip even helped carry in my first carload of stuff! The apartment was in great condition. The only issue was a slow draining sink, but Kenny took it apart and had the water flowing within minutes. Sidewalk paving behind the building is a huge improvement as well. AND, free gated parking. Great experience so far.

For a quick relocation to Indianapolis I was so glad my wife and I ended up at The Maryden. The building is old but the interiors are nicely renovated and the maintenance staff is legit. Gavin, the manager was extremely helpful at move out and Ken and Chip were quick to fix our minor issues when they occurred (rarely). Excellent service and great year at The Maryden!

The window to the down stairs entryway was broken for months. The security of the building is non-existent. I’ve also noticed in the past couple months that hallways will smell like urine and I’ve seen stains on the carpets. They use to come and clean every week, but not anymore.

After a run of incompetent maint staff, Tegehoff finally has gotten it right with Ken, Chip, Gavin and the gang. Grounds are being consistently maintained as well as the building. Still need a pet station out front but I love calling the Maryden my home!!

Not bad for the price, a little small, but the major issue is lack of property management. The company managing the property, Simplifyy, is based our of Kansas City, MO.The neighbors that have recently been moving in smoke inside often, which causes the entire building to smell of it. If you has asthma, allergies, or are not a cigarette smoker, I'd consider looking elsewhere.

This place is a pretty good hidden gem close to downtown. I lived here for two years, and I was overall very satisfied with my experience. Prices here are better than downtown, yet you are really close to Mass Ave/downtown. The Old Northside neighborhood is also very safe and has a home-y feel. You get gated parking for free, and I never had an issue with the lot or the gate. Mostly young professionals living in this building, so it's usually pretty quiet. My negative experiences stemmed from one or two neighbors who were inconsiderate about noise (music, dogs barking, etc.), which happens everywhere unfortunately. I also had one negative maintenance issue, which eventually got resolved, but I think the response to maintenance issues could use improvement. Also, as with any other apartment building, walls are VERY thin. Otherwise, the apartments are beautiful and the building & grounds are well-kept.
