I cannot rate Dennis and Simon’s dream enough! Rare book shop of fine and usually limited runs of Spirits and Wines. Tastings, purchases, stop in for five minutes or stay for an hour or two and go on a journey for the taste buds and ears. Great friends, conversations, and stories.

Technically a bar where you can sample various whiskies and brandies (cognac, armagnac, calvados) but you can also purchase bottles here as well. Plus they can add you to their mailing list for ordering new items that arrive, including some hard to find and boutique offerings. Run by two gentlemen who have forgotten more about whisky than most people know, it's a must‐visit for any spirits lover.

If you are looking for a place to try curated spirits, this is the place. There are only a couple of liquor stores that give you the opportunity to taste before you buy. And definitely not the "good" bottles. 5 tastes for $10 of most anything they have. It's valuable in you can fill out your wish list. Try items you have heard about but don't know if you want to spend the money. Denis and Simon's main goal is to introduce spirits and wine that may have gotten lost on the shelves of other stores. And they also now the stories behind their picks. Get on their mailing list for notifications of new items.

If you’re ever in Indy, a must stop for any spirits enthusiast is Storied Company on N. Delaware. You can sample most everything they sell in 1/2oz pours for a modest cost, and then decide what you want to purchase. The cost of the bottles we bought (2 store picks), as well as the rest of the inventory, are very reasonably priced. Dennis helped us and was a wealth of information. Really like what they are doing. Will definitely come back next time in town.
