Sonesta Select Indianapolis Carmel offers a mix of experiences for its guests. The lobby is generally found to be beautiful. Many guests describe their rooms as nice, clean, comfortable, quiet, and spacious, with some noting a super soft mattress and a wonderful bed. The location is frequently praised as perfect, safe, and convenient, being minutes from interstates and near an upscale mall. However, service and maintenance issues are common. Multiple guests encountered rude or unfriendly front desk staff, with customer service highlighted as a significant shortcoming. Operational problems included rooms not being ready hours past the official check-in time, a lack of basic amenities like pillows and towels, empty soap dispensers, and no room service during long stays. Some guests also reported issues with key cards needing frequent reprogramming and cold hallways. Facilities receive mixed notes; the pool and hot tub area is described as clean with a pretty view, but the hotel's overall value is often questioned, with some comparing the experience unfavorably to a budget motel. While many felt safe during their stay, the consistency of service and upkeep appears variable.

Super soft mattress in my room. I prefer a harder mattress, but that’s my personal preference. It was nice and clean and comfortable otherwise . The room was spacious.
