Unethical business practices. In early August of 2024 we took our car in to have our windshield replaced. The price quoted has ~$980. They replaced the glass but told us there was something wrong with the glass which would not allow them to calibrate our sensors. No problem, 'we'll order a new windshield, just schedule to come back next week'. A week later we took the car back in, and they 'replaced the windshield' except when my wife got into the car she could see the same bug marks that were there prior to the 2nd replacement. Clearly, they lied about the 2nd replacement but the glass looked fine otherwise and the sensors worked so she decided to move on. However, when my wife got on the interstate the 'open hood' sensor came on so she pulled over and called Safelite. They said they didn't know anything about the hood and when she enquired about whether or not they replaced the glass the 2nd time they hung up on her. Once she got home, I checked under the hood and found that a part from the left windshield wiper was lodged in such a way as to prevent the hood from closing. I pried this part out, installed it onto the wiper and closed the hood. Finally, when we viewed the invoice the charge was ~$1450 instead of the previously quoted $980. So, we called customer service (45 minutes of my life) to find out that they gave us the wrong invoice and that $980 is correct.
I can't recommend doing business with Safelite. Perhaps other locations are better, I don't know. Here there is too much evidence that the team lacks attention to detail, is not truthful to customers and lacks basic customer service skills.

Since I can't get anyone to return my calls (1.5 weeks) I'm just going to go ahead and write this review.
Had my windshield replaced at this location. Picked up my car just before closing on Friday. After leaving the parking lot I noticed shards of glass all over the interior of the car (see photos).
Safelite had closed so I called first thing Saturday morning and a manager couldn't come to the phone. I left my number for a return phone call.... Still waiting.
I've even called another number that turned out to be corporate customer service. They took notes and said someone from this location would return my call.... Nope...
The replacement windshield is fine but this location is seriously lacking in customer service. I wonder how or even if they would have responded if I hadn't seen the glass until after cutting myself or worse, getting glass stuck in my hand or leg ..... Maybe the hospital bill would have elicited a return phone call.

I arrived for my appointment at 9:30 AM but was not acknowledged or attended to until after 11 AM, resulting in an hour and a half of waiting. During this time, my vehicle, which had a small fillable crack of less than six inches, was left sitting in the sun.
Consequently, the small crack expanded into a major one, necessitating the replacement of the entire windshield. I will no longer use or recommend SafeLite for glass repair.

Have them come to your house and have them wait for you while you get done talking on the phone for 46 minutes. I was at their shop on 86th. Street. I left and told them I would book an appointment for them to come to me. Re.i ds me of the Seinfeld episode where Kramer hides from the cable guy. His appointment is between 8am and 4pm

Please don’t use Safelite. I had a chip in my windshield and said they would come to my house and fix it and it would have a lifetime warranty. 3 months later the fix didn’t last so I called them up and ask them to repair it again and they said they would not repair it again but they would apply what it cost the first time to fix it to the price of a new windshield. So I purchased a $20 dollar kit and repair it myself and my repair has lasted over 5 years!!! Funny they told me it couldn’t be repaired again!!!

Rachel the store manager took care of setting up the appointment and was very helpful with the whole process. Corbin was the guy who installed the windshield and was very professional and got the job done. Thanks!

If I could leave ZERO stars I would! Terrible service. Don’t fulfill there obligations and then have the nerve to pass it on to you. Did y show up at an already RESCHEDULED time that they needed to do and had the nerve to just text at 8pm they were rescheduling it out for another week!! I don’t have another week. Now costing me hundreds of dollars to rent a car as I have a medically fragile child that has appointments for a surgery out of state that we have to go to. UNACCEPTABLE!!!
Edit to add- I did use their chat function when they failed to show up or even call to let me know they weren’t coming. I only hit a text at 8pm saying they rescheduled it for ANOTHER week out. The person I chatted with was rude, argumentative and a liar. Went to another business and they were able to take care of it SAME DAY. Only reason I was going to use Safelite was it was recommended by insurance company. Never again.

Replaced my Tesla Model Y's chipped windshield. I called to ask for OEM glass and they worked very fast to accommodate this and order the parts. My insurance company said I need to pay 600 difference for OEM parts and I said okay. But it was free on the day of my appointment, I don't know if I have Safelite or my insurance agent to thank but hey I wouldn't say no to free stuff. Jeff did a fantastic job on the windshield, no leak no alignment problem. The sensors are also calibrated so auto pilot works flawlessly. Very satisfied.

“Had a 9:30 appointment, but I showed up 15 minutes late due to traffic issues. It was a 30-minute drive without traffic. The lady helping me when I walked in was nice, but then another lady, whom I couldn’t see because she was seated behind a cubicle, chimed in and said, ‘If that’s the 9:30, he is late.’ That prompted the nice lady to tell me, ‘I’m sorry, I’m going to have to reschedule you.’
I said, ‘It’s ok, don’t even worry about rescheduling me. I’ll contact my insurance and reschedule somewhere else. I won’t be back.’
I understand I was a little late, but is 15 minutes really a deal breaker? I would have even left my car there an extra day to get it done so I didn’t have to make two more trips.”

I went today to have my windshield replaced. It got hit with something on the interstate and it was just a little nick when it turned into a crack across half the windshield. I got there at 10:50, they took it right back and was done in an hour. I was greeted when I entered and showed where the waiting room with coffee and water, also had a TV
They were very nice and explained what I could and not do for the next 48 hrs. I really liked the way they treated me and fixed my car so quickly
