Update (8/9): After just a few weeks of being insured by State Farm I received a letter in the mail informing me that they reviewed my file and that my policy would be canceled on August 9th "due to the vehicle's lack of a passive engine immobilizer." Apparently this is an issue with the car I drive that I was completely unaware of, so I scheduled an appointment with the dealership to have the issue addressed, but then I was informed that even if it was fixed they wouldn't insure me. I was also told that I am not the only person affected and there are others who are suddenly having their policies canceled after State Farm agreed to insure them.
I'm updating my rating to 2 stars. I'd also like to note that the reason why I wrote a review in the first place is because I was asked to, so keep that in mind when you read all of these other reviews. Why 2 stars instead of 1? Because I still think Daniela is great, I think that under the circumstances she handled the situation to the best of her ability, with grace and compassion though audibly frustrated. I think Daniela deserves better than State Farm, and I think customers deserve better than State Farm, who as it turns out, isn't the "good neighbor" State Farm claims to be. I left Progressive after 12 years for this insurance agency which couldn't have reviewed my file before I made the switch to let me know they aren't able to provide me with insurance? That's what I find so frustrating. I ended up in a situation where I gave State Farm my time and money, only to be told less than a month into it that they've now reviewed my file and it's a no go. It is extremely unprofessional and I would think so easily avoidable. It's disappointing that State Farm is the kind of agency that would do this to their customers, but even more disappointing that they don't offer the proper support to someone like Daniela, who ended up having to take that fall for their failure.

Was previously with Progressive for about 12 years but was unhappy with my rate constantly going up despite a safe driving record, no tickets, no claims, etc. Decided to look into State Farm and got connected with Daniela who has been engaging and easy to work with. Even after adding renter's insurance to the bundle (as opposed to just auto insurance with Progressive), Daniela was able to help me get better coverage at a better rate. Not once during my 12 years with Progressive did anyone ever take the time to actually talk to me like a real person, so I already feel a connection with State Farm that I never felt with Progressive. If you are considering a new insurance company, I'd highly recommend you get in touch with Daniela at State Farm.

I had a fantastic experience working with Kristen Deiwert. When our auto policy renewal notice arrived with a $100 increase in monthly premiums, despite my husband and I having no tickets or other issues and being in our 50s, I decided it was time to find a new insurance company after being with our previous agent for 17 years.
