This is regarding Orthoindy's disgusting billing tactics.
I received a bill for service I received a year ago. I obtained an authorization checked my insurance and did my due diligence before receiving the service.
The claim was processed initially shortly after my appointment. My insurance processed the claim and I paid my portion. Now over a year after the fact Orthoindy has decided the service is not covered I imagine because they want additional money.
I have never received a denial from my insurance. My insurance has never told Orthoindy the treatment is not covered and Orthoindy has not provided any proof to me.
Orthoindy is in breach of their PPO contract.
When you sign the financial agreement to pay that is if for some reason something is not covered and the amount after your insurance pays their portion. It is not for a provider to lie say somethings not covered and charge you whatever they want.
The treatment I received IS covered.
Strangely I have a new provider with a different group went through the same authorization and approval process for the same treatment and they were able to file my claim and receive their payment just fine.
I don't know if the employees in Orthoindy's billing are not trained, overworked or just don't really care to try to do their jobs, but I know the incompetence is affecting peoples financial lives.
They refuse to do the research to correct their error.
I will no longer use a provider with Orthoindy largely because of the insurance and billing department.
They will not try to determine what your particular benefits are they will just lump everyone together and argue with you about your insurance benefits.
If you have a job requiring customer service you have to listen and solve problems. It's your job.
Sadly I don't think my case is a rare occurrence.
I do believe if enough people who have had similar experiences with Orthoindy billing could come together we may have a enough for a legal complaint.
We have to start fighting back against these companies who are ruining our credit and finances because they refuse to do their jobs.
Think twice or three or four times before going to Orthoindy!

Had a great experience at Ortho Indy today! My mom got her knee replaced a couple of weeks ago and Aniya was amazing at her post-op appointment! She took out my mom’s staples and was very calming. Thank you Aniya for taking such good care of my mom!

The staff at OrthoIndy Northwest have been professional, patient and very friendly. I have had several appointments there and I feel Iike I am visiting friends. I always have a list of questions during my visits. They are happy to answer every question and give me guidance. I would highly recommend this medical provider.

Poorly managed imaging dept. Complete circus.
1:30pm follow-up appointment...:34 min late just for the x-ray
Staff at desk scrolling her phone...zero urgency or organization.
Appointments should have priority over walk-in patients.
Shouldn't be our fault that "you're busy"...don't make it my problem.

I need emergency ortho services. I cannot drive atm. Google says they are open at one location.. Nobody will answer the phone at *any* locations. How am I supposed to even verify coverage of my insurances before I put someone out by having them bring me in office for no reason? Or, call/pay for a Lyft/Uber?
This is very poor office management and it does not work at all for potential patients, for their practice, for their income revenue … ? Tank your own medical practice then.
I have already experienced enough of this practice to know this is so not it for me.
After reading the reviews, no thank you.
They do not even respond to negative reviews and attempt to apologize or to even be in good standing …
I do not deal w arrogance or treating patients w a lack of dignity, degrading their patients, dehumanizing their patients, being disrespectful to their patients.
Where is the integrity and good character and ethical medical practice in any of this?
I am supposed to blindly trust these people with my urgent healthcare, sound medical care, and regarding my well being?

We were referred to Dr. Rougraff because the orthopedic surgeon we had did not specialize in the area we needed. Dr. Rougraff was very pleasant, knowledgeable, and genuine. The day of the surgery, everyone greeted us, explained what they were going to do, and what we can expect next. Everything went so smoothly. Recovery was excellent. Follow up was great. They called to check on us the next day, which I appreciated. I tell everyone about our great experience and highly recommend Dr. Rougraff, his team, and OrthoIndy.

As a nurse, I know there is a sense of dignity that Healthcare should give a patient. Having a patient sit in full waiting room in a gown isn't giving a sense of dignity. Eleanor, one of the staff members in front of a full waiting room asks me why I don't want to put on a gown. Then as I'm getting dressed after the x-ray I audibly hear the staff mention me with laughing.

We have had several appts at this location in the last month. Even with a computer system change, the staff has been so efficient and helpful. I am very impressed with staff and dr. So pleased to have this available for our family.

I have been going to Ortho Indy for yrs. The Dr Osborne I had never met, nor discussed my health with him. During my appointment I waited longer than usual to complete appt. Once Dr Osborne entered the room my appt was over less than 10 min. He never went over my x-ray that was done prior to seeing him. I tried to explain the pain that I was experiencing, he bluntly told me there was nothing he could do and stood up to show me out and as walking out I'm still asking questions that I feel he should have given me the opportunity to ask while inside the room during my appointment. I felt slighted, I wasn't looking for any pain medicine, I just wanted some clarification of my pain. I just hope others are given the time they need to express their concerns and not shut down.

I have never had an experience more disrespectful, rude, argumentative healthcare professional in my 52 years. Due to her behavior, I will not return. This young lady needs a career change. I can only imagine how she treated the elderly. I have had to listen to her speak to people over the phone and it is sad how she communicates with patients. OrthoIndy do better. This young lady does not need to be anywhere near the public.

Applied to work here. First interview went good, they told me next step was to shadow MAs. After the shadowing Iesha Parker told me I would receive an email from her or HR a week later for next steps. A week later passed.. no email. I emailed Iesha Parker twice to follow up, instead of being professional and communicating, she ignored me and closed my application when I emailed her the second time. Very unprofessional and nontransparent, waste of my time. Don’t apply here, they’ll make you think you’re going to get the job then ghost you and stop communicating with you.
