Please DO NOT use MAI Group, they will steal and lie and dodge your calls and emails. Patrick is not only a thief but he is rude. I had to hire attorney because he withheld w2's, paychecks, and stole money for months. I hope this saves another future customer.

I gave documents and for some reason my husband's name got messed up both my son's name the irs got my taxes feb 9 am still waiting because of the mix up here it is mid March still no taxes never got the loan this business is unexceptionable and I'm turning this in to the better business bureau never again I do not recommend him to nobody

My fiancée filed his taxes with Patrick almost 2 years ago. They told him his taxes were done wrong and they were “working on it” - almost two years later and this incompetent accountant will not answer calls and will not help out! NEVER TRUST THIS MAN TO DO YOUR TAXES!!!

As of this year, the owner and operator of My Accountant Inc. has been my accountant for 15 years. He has always been great in handling all of the details and I have never had to worry about anything. In that time my situation has changed many times due to job changes, state changes, income changes, deduction changes, changes in employee status and type. Since I was a single college kid going out on my own to a family of 5 with a 501c3 + a few other 1099 and w2 jobs, he has always been more than fair with cost, unbelievably fast with returns (that have always gotten me the most possible), and has never overlooked anything that might cause me IRS frustration. My Accountant will make your life easier!

Title - Messed up taxes, filings, and payroll,
I utilized this service for taxes and payroll (same owner) for tax year 2015 and payroll for Q1 and Q2 2016. During the tax cycle multiple issues occurred. First, the taxes were inaccurate. I was sent a follow up bill from the IRS with an adjusted payment. This is obviously the largest infraction of business trust. He did not redo the tax forms or verify any of this when I asked his what the bill was about. He became defensive and went radio silent. I then received a notice indicating the S-corp filing was filled out incorrectly and that my tax status was inaccurate. This was also met with radio silence. No resolution.
Second, payroll issues also occurred. He help my funds in his own escrow without depositing for IRA and 529s. Though we later found issues with the 529, he held the funds for months on end with no movement. I had to issue an ultimatum before he would take action. I lost 25% of my IRA investment capability in 2016 based on his lag-behind timing.
At this point, both services were having trouble and I informed them I was going to move to another service starting July 1, 2016. Again met with radio silence. The new services asked for digital copies of my taxes, payroll tax filing, etc. We spent 6 weeks trying to get these excel spread sheets and tax copy from them. They agreed to send them and never did. This became a cost to me since the new services had to spend billable time to recreate the tax records for Q1/Q2 payroll taxes and verify with the state things had been done. They had been filed incorrectly.
My final note is that apart from the inaccurate, unreliable service, that there was an air of rudeness and unprofessional demeanor.
I wish them well in the future and hope these negative reviews will help them understand they do not operate in a vacuum. And perhaps this may help their customer service efforts in the future.
