I'm soon to be a resident in this place in the next couple weeks. They've been renovating the property and the place looks beautiful. They have little ponds and a dog park! So I've been working with Marilyn, with the office staff, and she's been wonderful in helping me apply. She's put up with and answered all my questions no matter how silly, without delay whether I call in or email and no matter how complex or simple, when I spotted a slight paperwork error/typo she got it corrected and resent within minutes. They have really impressed me thus far and I'm pacing to get to moved in.

New property owners and the cooperate office is absolutely terrible. Rent has increased from $800/month to $1200 a month with absolutely no updates since March of 2022. The only saving grace is the fact that Chris is the absolute best maintenance e person I have ever had at any rental property.

I moved here last year (2023) because they accept people with previous evictions (that are paid off). I was evicted in college back in 2016 due to mental health issues. I liked that there was a pool and gym here. However they take forever to get the pool ready in the summer. The gym is only open 8:30-5:30 and I work 8-5…you can get a fob but they make it difficult to obtain one. The rent is too high for what the apartment is. My AC DIDNT WORK FOR A WHOLE YEAR. They would come to fix it and it would work for like 5 minutes and then go out again. Even when I was moving out I was sweating bullets because it didn’t work. The only good thing is you’re able to split your rent into 2 parts. When I moved in the towel rack broke immediately, my dishwasher wasn’t connected, my washer and dryer wasn’t connected. My dish washer didn’t work for like 2 months. The washer only uses hot water. I didn’t have wifi for a month because the line was never connected. My back screen door was broken, and they came to fix it. And left the broken door in my apartment; so I left it in the hallway for them to remove it and when I was gone they put the broken screen back on my door!! $1145 for a one bedroom is insane. I now have a 3 bedroom for $950. I would recommend moving here if you have limited options and make at least $65k. I make $60 and between car insurance, my car note and other bills I lived paycheck to paycheck. Also there’s a resident snitch. He watches when you throw out trash or take your dog to the dog park, so he can tell the leasing agents that you did something wrong. Oh yeah and my first month here, construction was working on the roof, and left nails everywhere, and I got a flat tire on my brand new car. One last thing, a warning, they didn’t email about this (they claimed they did), they try to make you sign another lease 60 days before your current lease ends…I travel for work and only found out when I came home and the notice was on my door (it was after the deadline). So now I have to pay an extra month rent for no reason. This apartment is so greedy. Marilyn and the new maintenance guy are the only good employees

The new management company is now kicking everyone out who lives in a nonrenovated unit. If you're looking for a place that feels secure/reliable, I'd look elsewhere.

Marilyn and Yori were super helpful during the application process. They were very patient and took the time to answer all my questions. I absolutely love my apt and it’s in a great location!

Meridian Court is the worst apartment complex I have ever seen. I pay $1500 a month in rent meanwhile my brand new car gets destroyed by neighbors door dinging it every day, our garage was broken into and everything stolen out of it (THOUSANDS of dollars worth of stuff). There is no lighting on the garages and no security cameras of course. Our AC went out and instead of fixing it they offered one window AC unit to cool the entire 2 bed 2 bath apartment. It is almost 80 degrees in here and only getting hotter but they don’t seem to care. Oh and they still have yet to even show up with the window AC unit they offered after 3 days of our AC being out. My shower leaked for 6 months (photos to prove I put in maintenance requests starting in March and it still wasn’t fixed in October) before they came and fixed it. It grew mold and even though I put in multiple maintenance requests, they either just never showed up or they “fixed” it for an hour before it started leaking again. It wasn’t fully fixed until I went into the office multiple times demanding they fix it. The dumpster is constantly overflowing despite us having to pay a trash fee every month. So much so that it is literally almost it in the STREET because of them never having the dumpster cleared out. They have been remodeling all of the units and their construction crew leaves nails all over the property which have caused us multiple flat tires that they refused to pay for even when we brought the receipt for the tire into the office because we “cant prove that’s where the nails came from.” They aren’t quick to respond but yet they post all day on Facebook how amazing it is to live here. I’m so glad to be getting out of this POS apartment complex. I absolutely do not recommend this place.

If I could give 100 stars I would! I LOVE my upgraded apartment and the view is beautiful. Marilyn with the leasing office was so patient and helpful. She made this process very easy for me. My pup and I are very happy here ?

The application - to us moving in was such an easy and smooth process . Marilyn at the leasing office was so kind . She was patient and answered any and all my questions without making me feel rushed . Our apartment is a much better upgrade from where we came from. The kitchen is my favorite . You can tell they took their time . Our bed is king size and we will still have more the enough room . Definitely recommend Meridian South Apartments.

07/10/2024 Update and WARNING: First of all, just do yourself a favor and Google "Pepper Pike Properties" or Pepper Pike Property Management. They own this complex and many others and have somehow managed to get a ONE star rating with more than 50 reviews. I suspect they would actually get ZERO stars if Google didn't force us to give at least One. Since this company bought Meridian Court South, it has been beyond terrible. The Blanca that I referenced in my last update left the company, of course. As did most of the staff I came to know. I just moved out after six years and could not wait to leave. I gave a 60 day written notice of my intention to move, but the new property manager ( this property has been through many the last two years) say they never received it and my lease renewed automatically at the ridiculous month to month rate. I did everything by the book. Chris the lone maintenance man and Marilyn, who usually answers the phone are not this issue here, they are great... Everything else is horrible.
This company and management is trying to scam me as they have many others because people are leaving in droves. I will fight any charge from them. Best to never do business with this company in the first place. You have been warned. Do not believe the Google reviews on "Meridian Court South" that are not from established accounts with more than one or two reviews. Also disregard any reviews more then two years old because that is when Wingate owned the complex. I am willing to bet most of the new positive reviews are from employees giving fake five star reviews in an attempt boost the Google rating
Update 06/02/2023 : I previously left a very unfavorable review due to the change in ownership. However, I was contacted by the wonderful Blanca Leon who manages several properties and she was able to resolve most of my issues. With Blanca now in charge, I am confident that the property will continue to improve and would recommend.
