Leon Tailoring: A Nightmare Tailored for Disaster
Let me begin by saying this: if you value your time, money, and sanity, stay far away from Leon Tailoring. My experience there was nothing short of a disaster.
I dropped off two pairs of pants for alterations, only to be met with a week-long wait time and a completely botched job. When I picked up my pants, one was missing entirely (apparently "lost" somewhere in the shop), and the other was hemmed so poorly that it looked like a child had taken a pair of scissors to it.
But the real kicker came when I pointed out the errors to the tailor. Instead of apologizing or offering to fix the mistakes, he insisted that his way was the "right" way and that I was being unreasonable. It was as if he was more concerned with proving his point than providing quality service.
To add insult to injury, he charged me more than his competitors for the shoddy work. When I mentioned this, he became defensive and accused me of "overreacting."
I highly recommend taking your business elsewhere. I found a much better tailor, Donna's Alterations, who not only fixed Leon's mess but also charged me less. Trust me, it's not worth the hassle or the headache.
If I could give Leon tailoring negative stars, I would.

Leon Tailoring is full of angels! The day before my wedding I found out another tailor had taken in the top of my wedding dress too much and it no longer fit. We stopped by to pick up my friend's dress for the wedding and asked for advice. Immediately, the team said, "Bring in your dress, and let's see what we can do".
They fixed my dress in hours! Allowing me to go into my wedding day relaxed and able to breathe while wearing my dress. I cannot thank the entire team at Leon Tailoring enough. You have a customer for life.

I’m a big fan of their work! They’ve expertly repaired several pieces that were nearly ruined by another tailor in Indy (the one at the Fashion Mall).
Their attention to detail is impressive, and they even remade some of my pants after a recent weight loss—I was blown away by the results.
The folks there are knowledgeable and skilled. While they sometimes share too many opinions about the fabrics my clothes are made of, it’s easy to look past that, given the quality of their work. Highly recommend!

Stellar customer service. Driven by here at least 1000 times but never stopped by. Needed some pants hemmed urgently; called and they said they could do same-day. Very pleasant shop, much more spacious and well-appointed than you’d expect. Ready-made suits/pants and they do bespoke clothing as well. I was in and out in 15 minutes, pants hemmed with perfectly matching thread and crisp lines - stellar work! Will definitely be giving this place more business.

Larry Edinger is misleading on prices. Brags about physical capabilities. Mediocre merchandise passed off as made to order. Can't take measurements due to physical injuries. Same game, different times, likes Trump

While I support this business for other kinds of tailoring-and they do a good job-I would not recommend Leon’s for any sort of military uniform tailoring. I took my OCPs to get patches sewn on, and spent about 30 minutes describing what I needed done. When I picked them up, nothing of what I had asked for had been done or done right. The velcro was not removed from name tapes/us army tapes and they did not sew on any ranks or badges that I had asked for. Don’t waste your money here. It is done much cheaper and better at many other places.

30 years, 9 suits, 2 tuxedos, 40 shirts, 20 pants, 6 sport coats and everyone of them was perfect! Hard to imagine any tailor shop that could have done better! Norman and Larry make buying clothes a joy instead of a chore.

I was recently laid off and need to hit the interview trail again. You may not think you need a suit in these days of LinkedIn applications and video interviews but feeling your best in a 20-year-old blazer and sweats cannot be faked. So when I called around to bespoke tailors in town, a new custom suit was going to be at least $2000! I thought, well maybe there's some bespoke zoom filters that remove 75 pounds and dress me to the nines. Luckily I remembered the OG Indy tailor Leon Tailoring. Walking in their expansive shop was like walking back in time, when there was a men's haberdashery on every corner and a porter named Chesapeake to your coat at the door. Okay that might be too far so think MadMen with today's latest styles. My guy Norman said he could fit my large belly and narrow shoulders into an off-the-rack suit in year-round wool for less than $1000. That included two fittings and adjustments. Free was Norman arguing with his fellow salesman over a pricing estimate. They sounded like an old married couple arguing over who said what, when in reality they each forgot something different. It was adorable but if I hadn't cleared my throat, they'd still be caught in some bickering causality loop. As of this review the suit arrived for the first fitting and it's fantastic. I can't wait to throw it on and get the next phase of my career started properly!

I went for a tux fitting, and they took great care of me. Very friendly and professional staff. I wouldn't hesitate to patronize Leon Tailoring in the future.
