Worst experience in 14 years of dealing with this place. I spent over 200$ in CASH NOT FOOD STAMPS. I have ptds and got side tracked cause some Kids was stealing food, I TOOK THE BACKPACK TO THE GRAY HAIR LADY WITH BRAIDS THE MANAGER. and left $35 Worth of groceries.when I realized this within 10 min I live around the corner. The LADY WITH GRAY HAIR BRAIDS treated me like we was on lets make a deal. I ask for the Manger, she made a call and then the manager ask how much was the items I was missing. It was 35$ so she offered me 25$ worth of stuff or nothing.. so I took the deal. The manager is a coward and cant handle this side of town. Just sad the Gray haired braided lady said she saw my dryer sheets but said my shampoo was something else. I HAVE WENT HERE FOR YEAR'S. When I won 200$ on a lotto I gave this Gray hair lady 20$. I will be contacting corporate. I'm not the under age kids that have was trespassed and yet got into your store and tried to steal. I'm a hard working Mother. Who don't deserve this your. Customer service for a reason.

Used to be my favorite Krogers to go to but it's gone downhill in the past year and there's been so many shootings in that area I don't go there anymore

They either don’t have it, can’t do it, close early or something else to make your shopping experience absolute hell. I placed an order for my daughter’s cake on WEDNESDAY for pickup on Saturday. They called me the day before to tell me they couldn’t make it knowing good and well at least 24 hours is needed to place the order. They blame shift and pass the buck whenever possible and it’s pathetic. Trained monkeys could run a store better than these clowns.

This location always has the items in stock you're looking for. Sometimes, the lines are long, but the cashiers are awesome at keeping the flow moving. It's definitely the traditional neighborhood grocery store.

Well I been going to this particular location for many years & it's always been a little on the hood side, The lot is always filled with trash, Same with any trash cans that happen to be outside, The cans are overflowing with garbage to the point that I'm guessing the people just say to themselves What's the point? And just tosses it on the ground, And don't get me started on the dumpsters in the back of the building!!Been that way for years, For as long as I been coming here so it's not a new occurrence, I believe the reason is because of poor management & leadership & a bad habit of hiring the Trashiest, Laziest, Ghetto garbage that the east side has to offer, (RACE plays no part BTW) But In the companies defense they can't discriminate on people because they think they look to be hood trash or ghetto garbage. So what do you do when you realize that the store managers are trashy, The front end managers are trashy, The deli managers are trashy, The hiring manager is trashy? Well pretty much all the managers are lazy, Do as little as possible while gaining as much as possible in hours worked, Creating a pretty hefty payday for doing practically nothing, So what do you do then? So then considering that all the leadership is one big happy family of misguided lazy ghetto trash then what do you think the type of employees on the lower level of the totem pole are going to be like? So basically when you have a store the size of Kroger's being operated & staffed by some of the worst east side hood trash around then this is the type of business you will have.So I'm really not sure if they have replaced them yet but they had a max of 45 carts from what I recall & only about 13 of them actually still work for customers to use for shopping, The rest are all piled at the end of the walkway in front of the building to the right of the entrance, In an area that I like to call the "Grocery Cart Graveyard" Many of them are locked up, Wheel's are missing, Some have been hit by cars & the baskets are warped cracked or broken, Some have wheels that barely move while your pushing them and the bolts or small rods that hold them on are rusted creating a very loud sound, Usually squeaking, rattling, rubbing or clicking & those are the few that actually work a little bit, But then as soon as you check out & get to the front door where you go out, Right there is a security scanner that locks the Wheel's up so you can't steal the cart or merchandise, So it automatically locks up the wheels on random carts. Then there's the inside store issues, After walking around the entire store making sure whatever they have available or is something you like or have enjoyed eating has been placed in your cart, So you head for the register but before you can even get to one you get about to the first cross section & you are stopped & are forced to step into a line & wait your turn because there are not enough registers open at any given time & it don't matter what time of day or night it is or how many employees there are on the clock they refuse to open another register to relieve some of the frustration & pressure that only having a couple of registers open is putting on employees & customers, So I complained to a cashier a few weeks ago & was told that they are having a corporate meeting the following Monday to discuss how to solve the issues this store is having, She even said that the news has even did a piece on it on the evening news break, So when the news gets involved you know something will get done, But that was a few months ago & I go there often & it's still got all the same issues it's had for quite awhile. And if you have to use the restroom & you go in to this one the first thing that slaps you in the face is the overly intense smell of urine feces & garbage, The stall doors need repaired & there is never any TP in either stalls, Graffiti written on the walls, Sink is filthy along wi

You’re better off going to Whole Foods or Needlers.I do not buy dairy or produce here. This store sends the message that Kroger executives do not care about consumers and they do not care about the hourly employees. This Kroger is the only grocery store in the area. Yet they are not able to keep enough staff to keep the store clean (numerous RECENT health department fines/citations - search Google for news coverage), keep the customer service desk open regular hours, or to have enough cashiers working to prevent long lines. The underpayment of and lack of employees cause gross, unsanitary conditions. Spills with free standing displays pulled in front of them instead of a wet floor sign or being mopped up. Ice cream melting on shelves in the cereal isle. The fact that the salary executives are okay with the state of this store makes me uncomfortable with spending my money there. They have a geographic monopoly, yet have no interest in the wellbeing of our community. I know it sounds dramatic but it’s really just pathetic that Kroger, one of the nation’s largest companies, doesn’t pay its employees enough to retain good workers. And the employees who have been there for a while are visibly overworked and/or unhappy. They don’t even sell Boar’s Head deli meats anymore. Maybe the result of the health inspection issues?? That is a main thing I like to eat… so now I go elsewhere for it and most of my other groceries. The most recent time I was there, the police man (one is stationed at the front door at least every evening, maybe during the day too… not a bad thing, but I do feel bad for them that they have to spend their time at Kroger) on duty was helping people who needed assistance with the self checkout because the self checkout attendant had to go help someone with something in the regular checkout line. It was absurd. The time before that the entire stock of 1% milk was at least 1 day expired. (Photo taken 10/23)Southern Plaza store hardly better morale-wise.

This Kroger is the worst grocery store I’ve ever seen in my life. It has gone so far downhill over the past 5 years too. I used to go here a couple times per week and now I only come here in case of emergency. Literally the laughing stock of the east side at this point. There are memes about how bad the Linwood Kroger is. Every now and then I give it a try but I almost always just leave the store empty handed and drive elsewhere because the food quality is terrible, there are spills everywhere, none of the shopping carts are working if you can even find one, and you have to wait in a chaotic line wrapped around the liquor isle for self checkout because it’s the only option. There used to be two self checkouts you could choose from but the other one has been closed every time I’ve been the past year or so.One time I walked into the store and walked right back out because it smelled like something died in there. I cannot emphasize enough how bad it is. I’m appalled that Kroger thinks this is acceptable and is denying the thousands of complaints this store has consistently been receiving for years. It’s really a shame. To top things off the prices are more expensive than other grocery stores in Indy. Much better prices at Meijer. Our neighborhood needs an accessible, clean, grocery store and this isn’t it.

This is without a doubt the worst Kroger in Indianapolis. The workers couldn't care less about doing their jobs. Especially in the deli. There is an older woman who works back there who makes you feel like you're inconveniencing her when you need something. The self check out is always backed up for at least 10-15 minutes. This store needs to get it together

The line just gets longer and longer as Kroger's corporate profits grow and grow. Maybe pay a living wage and you'll find employees.Long lines, just one form of late stage capitalism.

Kroger has unfortunately gone downhill. I purchased a 3 pound roll of hamburger there about a week ago, I took 1 pound out on Monday to cook dinner and went to use the other 2 pounds tonight. The best by date is tomorrow and it's already rotten. I can't for the life of me find my receipt and it's not showing recent purchases on my app, but it's still in the original roll with the store name, Kroger, on it. They told me I have to have my receipt and then they will decide if they will refund me or exchange. So upset because this is the 2nd time it has happened with ground beef. Then I had bought a honey dew melon about a month ago, went to cut it open that night and it was rotten. So they exchanged it and I took the other one home and cut it open and it was rotten as well so I gave up and threw it away. So disappointed.

Writing this review as I'm standing in the checkout line which I've spent 30 minutes waiting in so far. Never have anything in stock, store is laid out terrible so have to walk all over just to find what I'm looking for, beyond crowded with people but also staff unloading shipments. I can't stand this Kroger.

Terrible experience…. Feels like there’s a lack of quality management here. Usually I’ve had a great experience at Kroger grocery stores, however this location is not doing so well.
