We looked at two cars advertised on craigslist. The titles for both listed clean (they were both rebuilt, actually). There was also damage to one car that was not shown in the pictures. Not worth the drive out there.

WARNING THIS IS VERY LONG. HAVE THE CAR INSPECTED BEFORE BUYING.
I thought The owner was being honest. He told me about the check engine light. Said it was just the right O2 sensor, so OK I can fix that. Said the anti-lock brakes needed a relay. I drove the truck and it sounded OK. Never tried any of the electric controls, my bad, front passenger windows doesn't work, door locks are screwed up, and radio doesn't work. He said they tried to fix the left door hinge, Door sits low in the back and rubs the back door. Instead of buying the $10 replacement hinge pins they welded the old pins to the hinge, Now I'm going to have to pull the fender grind off the weld and hope they didn't screw up the hinges . I put my diagnostic meter on it and there are over 20 faults popping up.
He had me sign the title, on the back, I didn't think to look at the front, and after I signed the bill of sales he added the the truck had a rebuilt title. That doesn't bother me, but I would have offered at least a $1000 dollars less.
Warning.. If you buy from here have the car inspected by a good mechanic before signing.

My family, friends and I have bought 5 cars from Sam at Kaptan Auto Sales. ( I have purchased two myself) I have never had one bit of difficulty with them and feel them to be honest and reputable. Of course, this is a small business with limited inventory and a certain price range, but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them!

Sal knowingly sold me a broken car. I would not recommend this place to anyone and would tell anyone considering buying a car there to buy somewhere else.

Horrible repair and kept car hostage so I had to pay. Welding was terrible and instead of using total new piece he cut corners and welded new piece over rusted piece I paid him to cut out. Who just welds a new panel over a rusty one???? Cut corners!!!! Do not go to

It's really Kaptan Auto I believe. I purchased a car from here about a year or two ago and it has been very reliable. It was 10 times better than a car I paid over $20,000 for at a buy here pay here lot. Other than a new battery after a year, a recall item that every vehicle of this make/model ended up having and regular oil changes it hasn't needed a thing. It has never once left me stranded. The owners are also very nice and willing to answer any questions that come up. We plan to buy our second car from here in Feb. and can't recommend them highly enough!
