Christina Golay was exceptional at working through my loan process for a used vehicle. She was patient and very helpful in my questions and the variety of scenarios on term/rate/payments. You don’t get this personalized attention at many banks.

I’ve been with IMCU over 20 years. I can’t imagine banking with anyone else. Wendy is always very helpful and happy to answer any and all of my questions.

I bank with IMCU on Madison Avenue in Indianapolis. The tellers are all very pleasant and professional. The managers go an extra mile to address their members needs and get the best rates and resolve any issue. This is the best bank I've ever used! I highly recommend IMCU, especially the Southside branch.

And zero stars for the VP over telephone customer service training. As a 35 year member of IMCU, I am appalled at the lack of service training for IMCU phone center employees: they are NOT trained enough. Read on and understand.Last week I called the IMCU customer service line to close an old account I don't use that was being charged a monthly fee. The IMCU employee put me on hold for a while, came back and said I had to go to a branch. She was no help to me and I was annoyed - I said it in a nice way, then she hung up on me. So I was not happy and emailed a complaint. I drove to an IMCU branch and closed the account. While I was there I had another complaint to air. About two years ago I had rented out a condo to a South American who had to send an international wire for payment. I called the IMCU customer service line to ask if I could have money wired from an international location. The customer phone service employee said, "No, we do not do international wires." That was enough answer so I had to open a Wells Fargo account in Miami where the condo is. No worries. So three weeks ago we had another need to wire money from Europe and since I remembered the IMCU didn't do it, I went to Chase on the Circle to open an account. No worries, they handle international wires! I opened the account. So back to the second paragraph when I am in the IMCU closing the account and I mildly complain to the teller about how I wish the IMCU could handle international wires. The teller looked at me and was surprised! She called the IMCU wire department and guess what, they accept international wires! I was furious that I had to open an account in Miami and Indy just because of the bad info from two years ago. I wrapped up business and left.On my way back home I noticed an IMCU supervisor had called me while I was banking. I called her back and she profusely apologized for the earlier call. She said that was poorly handled. I asked how much training employees had before they went live to handle calls: two weeks, she said! That is not enough! That person could not even close my account, let alone give me any good info. Then I remember the call from two years ago: Two weeks of training and these Hoosiers come out thinking an international wire is a copper strand covered with a rubber coating made in a foreign country.Meanwhile I called Wells Fargo last week to close that account. The rep was very knowledgeable and efficiently closed the Miami account. I asked him how long his training was before he could take calls. He said "ten weeks".So to that penny pinching VP over training: You're fired. That is if the president of IMCU has any balls. Or maybe he just plays with them. Bottom line: try training and educating your new hires better. Because right now, IMCU gets an F -.IMCU deserves this review. And if any director/VP has the balls to call me back with an explanation, of why you put people on the phone who are not even close to being educated, I would appreciate it. I really hope the IMCU president reads this. All of you in upper IMCU management should read this - and weep. Or maybe you just laugh.

One of the ladies was racist towards me and my mother. I went there to cash my paychecks with my mother this evening, and the moment that lady saw us, she gave us that looks only immigrates understood. I thought she would do her job professionally but i guessed wrong. The moment she saw my paychecks she started saying things like, “oh you can’t cash them…I need your mothers ID… I need your ID…do you have a school ID…etc.” I was honestly a bit surprised as I been going to my mother bank every two-to-three weeks and they never asked my ID since the ladies knew who we were. But when I tried to tell the lady that I was since a student with no state ID yet, she literally told us that we could check them out with the ID. What even made me upset was that she literally had two grown adult man beside her and they didn’t even corrected her racist behavior, instead they backed her and literally tried to gaslight me and my mom that we were in the wrong not them. This made my mother even more upset as she literally didn’t expect a worker to be so racist towards me the most. My mother saw how that lady looked and responded to me. She dealt with racism before but never in her life did she expect that lady to be racist at me. It made me felt so uncomfortable and unwanted and I thought the INDIANA CREDIT UNION never mistreat their customers of any race but I was proven wrong.I am sorry if I didn’t make any sense, I was writing after I left the building.

Everyone that works at this branch are always friendly and helpful. From the security guard to customer representatives. Their manager David is the best! I hope he works here until retirement ? He have a positive attitude and willing to go above and beyond to help solve his members with difficult issues. Most Burmese love banking with IMCU - particularly with this branch because they feel welcome and heard despite the Language barrier.Lastly, IMCU have the best interest rate when it comes to Auto loan.

Was referred to this place by my husband and wished I would have NEVER done so. My husband had no issues obtaining his loan, applied online and went in to sign his paperwork NO ISSUES!! The lady Tracy at the Marion branch screwed my loan up so bad because she rushed everything due to closing time. We drove almost 2 hours to because she needed to see my car and never looked at it! I was suppose to get loss wage coverage in case I lose my job that didn’t happen. After losing my job I was suppose to go on monthly payments GUESS WHAT…?? That didn’t happen! I have not had one professional person to help me get my loan straight!! I was given a number to corporate and couldn’t not get anywhere! If I can give them a 0 I would!

I love banking with Indiana members credit union but this branch however I asked them to print some of my pay check images for tax reasons they charged me over $40! I talked to another branch they said they would have taken care of me for free. So now I'm out $40, I mean it's not like I can return them! I didn't even know how much it was going to cost till it was all said and done and they charged me for them.

Only one ATM, most of their other locations have several. The one ATM is frequently out of service.
