After several years of working my way through a few different traditional daycares and preschools, I had reached a point of stagnation and discontent in my career as an early childhood educator. Then my son was born and I really started to think of looking at other options. By the time my son was one, I finally realized I wanted better care and education for him, as well as better opportunities for myself in my career. So I started looking, and I found Guidepost Montessori at Geist! From my first conversation with the Head of School, I knew this was the place for me. My son absolutely loves it here! Every day he looks forward to walking in the door and greeting everyone and having them greet him by name. He proudly walks down the hall to his classroom where he knows exactly what to do and what to expect. I loved working as an assistant guide, and now I'm excited to have the opportunity to lead my own class and earn my Montessori Certification. I was hopeful when I took this job and enrolled my son a little over a year ago. But now, I am absolutely sold on the Montessori method and on Guidepost Montessori at Geist! This is more than a job or a school for us, it's a home.

I've been working at Guidepost for a little over a month and to say I love it here is an understatement. I've been looking for a job that I would enjoy keeping and I've always wanted to work in a childcare setting since I was young. When I heard that this location was hiring, I gave it a shot not expecting it to work out. The head of school gave me an offer that day and I don't regret it at all. I'm hoping to stay here and if I ever have a child, I'd want them to attend this daycare. All of the staff are so caring to the children here and everyone has their own special bond with each kid which is very heartwarming to see.

I work as an assistant guide and my son attends in the Nido room. I applied for this job because I wanted to try out daycare for my then-8 month old. I was very nervous about entrusting him into anyone’s care, but I knew that socialization was important for his development. I applied for a job as an assistant guide for Toddlers, mostly so I could get a genuine feel for the type of care he would receive. Both of us have absolutely thrived over the four months we’ve been at Guidepost in Geist. I’ve discovered a true passion for aiding children in such a foundational stage of their development, and my son is flourishing under the care of the guides in Nido. It is such a beautiful place full of a staff that cares, to the point where our head of school has a special and individual connection with every single child in the building. It’s incredible and inspiring to be part of this school, as a parent and an employee.

A really lovely new Montessori school. They have all brand new materials, large open classrooms, and dedicated staff. They also train all of their guides in house with plenty of resources to share with parent.

We have visited just about every daycare on the area and this one impressed us so much. My sensitive 3 year old is thriving and loves it here.
