This is such a unique place. If you're looking q place that makes you think of The Shining this is the place. Lol. It really is in a good creepy way. It's centrally located so it was amazing. But please know if you have any kind of physical disability then this is not the place for you. The elevator wasn't working so we had to take the manual elevator. So thst means if no one is there to operate it you have to clime the stairs to your room. Yeah...that isn't good. But would I stay here again? Absolutely!! We all still had an amazing time.

The staff were very helpful and informative and it was right next to my concert venue as well as some great restaurants, so super convenient placement. Would definitely stay here again.

Towels were stained, ants in the bathroom, air conditioning didn’t work. Website was misleading. Really not worth $200+ per night.

If you’re looking for a place that offers all of the typical hotel amenities, this might not be the best choice for you. Where fountain view lacks in some areas, it makes up in others. The location is fantastic. There are many great shops and restaurants nearby. The duckpin bowling and bar are really neat and fun. Our basic room had so much character and charm. It was impeccably clean but without the sterile room feeling some hotels have. We had a mini kitchen, sitting room, bathroom with a jet tub, and bedroom with a queen bed. I can’t say the mattress was particularly comfortable, unfortunately. I think it should come without saying, but the hotel is in an area with a vibrant night life. The hotel has a bowling alley. If you are a light sleeper, bring a sound machine and ear plugs. I honestly do not think they could take any other action to reduce the noise but it’s obvious they have done as much as possible. You will hear the bowling and conversations from the street. We will certainly stay here again.

It pains me to give this place two stars, but it’s 3:25am for a second night in a row we have been woken starting at midnight because of the outdoor bar/cafe two floors below us. It stops at around 2;45am for fifteen minutes then the bar staff gets out to enjoy the rest of their night. Smoke smells somehow waft into our closed windows. Bed is absolutely terrible. The place is empty and we get the room right above the outdoor bar and below the approach for the lanes, so the rest of the day you hear nonstop duckpin. I didn’t think of asking for a different room as I didn’t expect this to happen two night in a row. I have no idea why they gave us this room.We love the building, the location, the bowling. All staff has been very welcoming. The price, though, does not justify the experience. There’s only quiet from about 5:30am till 10. Only two more hours to go…

Friday night swing dancing is great. The instructors were great, and the live music was terrific.

Excellent place to stay! Beautiful, clean and comfortable historic building in the middle of all the action in Fountain Square! The check in is a little unorthodox. You have to call 15min before arriving but are met by a wonderful concierge at the door! They provide you with your room keys and information about the building and a the attractions and dining options in the area. Our room was lovely and decorated with vintage furnishings. We had a large jet tub in our private bathroom and a small kitchenette with coffee pot and microwave. Shampoo, conditioner, soaps, body lotion and even toothbrushes and toothpaste were provided! There's a great bar downstairs and a restaurant also Duck pin bowling. We could hear the pin machines working above us , it was great! Fountainview Inn is my favorite place to stay in Indy!

LOVED everything about it! Can't wait to stay again! Such a cool place. Walking distance to cool bars/restaurants. Vintage duckpin bowling on the floor above you, but it's not too loud. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

We loved it! The room was fantastic and we enjoyed the exclusive feel of the non-traditional hotel! Well be back for sure!
