25 years ago, I purchased my first downtown Indianapolis home with Kate and Kurt Flock. Since then I have sold and bought three additional downtown homes with Flock Realty, returning to them time and time again because of their professionalism, their knowledge and connections, and their commitment to doing the right thing for their clients. Some of these sales were challenging and required a lot of “above and beyond” work to get the deal closed.Real estate can often feel only like a transactional business, but that has not been my experience with Kate and Kurt. Long after the sale has closed, they have generously responded to questions related to home maintenance and to refer me to professionals they trust. Kate has been invaluable in repeatedly helping me think through renovations and home improvements that are appropriate for my property and market conditions. You will see some negative ratings here that have little to do with their capabilities as real estate professionals and instead are prompted by some unfortunate language in one Flock Realty ad. We live in a time where diversity and inclusion missteps are easy to make. But Flock Realty responded the very best that could be expected. They did not get defensive. They listened to concerns expressed. They learned from others’ perspectives. They owned the misstep in judgment. And they committed to being better. That takes integrity. And that’s why they will always be the real estate professionals in whom I place my trust.

Kurt and Kate Flock helped me sell a single-family home in Fall Creek Place in 2014.We interviewed a number of potential real estate agents, but decided to go with Kate and Kurt based on the sheer volume of homes they'd sold in the area, which at that time was over 100.This level of expertise and experience proved quite helpful as we navigated the sales process. They were attentive, and listened to our personal needs and goals.Even though they probably had more than a dozen active listings during our listing window, they were incredibly responsive to calls, emails, and questions. (And we had plenty of questions!)They helped us set our listing price based on their vast experience, and I'm happy to say the home sold immediately and within days of listing at full listing price, with a pre-qualified buyer and no hiccups. (The buyer committed on the spot at the open house and we were on our way.)We had a minor fence repair that needed to happen to meet the inspection requirements, and Kurt showed up himself that morning to do the repair because his vendor had fallen through. It really leaves an impression to see your agent outside with his own hammer making sure things go perfectly for you. They were professional during the entire transaction, and obviously knew what they were doing. All parties in the process were pleasant, collegial and hardworking.

Kate and Kurt are seriously excellent! They helped me find my home in SoBro. Their expertise is unmatched, and knowledge of the Indy neighborhoods superb. They deeply care about their clients and this community. My experience buying a house was seamless and smooth. Highest recommendations!

We've had a few neighbors have really good, successful real estate transactions with Flock Realty. We reached out to them on a Monday, they toured our house on Wednesday, and took pictures on Friday. It was listed Friday night, and sold within 12 hours over asking price. They are fantastic!

I had one interaction with Kate Flock. I emailed saying her price on an apt was too high and I would consider renting if she lowered the price. Her response. "No thanks! Good luck". A very poor and mocking response to a simple question. Not very polite if you ask me.

Kate Flock represented us and is one the sweetest/nicest people I’ve ever worked with in real estate (but not too nice, she was looking out for us!). Kurt also helped us out greatly, much appreciated.

I am shocked that these people are still in business. Their ads are absolutely disgusting and racist. Their way of working and thinking speaks of an older ignorant closed minded generation that has no place in our cities future. They need to be stopped.

Absolutely horrible, pretentious and arrogant old people. Very dishonest and sneaky. I would not do business with them anywhere their name is mentioned. I have been screwed over by the Flocks twice now. Both deals in Old-north side. They need their licences taken away.

How can anyone in business in a city that “claims” to be enlightened even think about running such ads let alone actually doing it. Bet I know who they voted for last November.

Wish I could give them 0. Promotes gentrification, elitism, and racism, as displayed through a recent ad in Urban Times. I would say more, but the ad speaks for itself.

Super racist ad campaign. Practically celebrates gentrification.
