Best part was the children play area. Went on dia de muertos day so I'm not sure if it's much different but it just seemed like as far as the museum part it self there was not much. Main floor was mostly vendors selling for the event and some art work, top floor was artifacts mainly dated within 50 years with a few a 100 years old, and the ground floor was the play area. I wouldn't ever come here for the museum itself with how little they had. The most interesting to me was the few old artifacts but hardly no history was written for it. It would show the date what it was and what it was made out of for almost everything.

Quest art sale was outstanding, again. The commitment to living artists is profound Very much looking forward to the upcoming new 'Raven' exhibit. What a score for the Eitlejorg.

Guest for a high end, outdoor wedding. Wonderful venue, except for one major thing. Military Park, which is right beside the outdoor garden area, was having an event and BLASTING music during the event. You could barely hear the wedding ceremony over the loud music. Anyone booking the outdoor space should be mindful of this when booking the space and the museum should make this known to people as well.

To learn about US history about the lives of the original inhabitants and settlers. There was also an exhibition of contemporary Native American art, so I highly recommend it, it's worth it.
They are closed on Monday and Tuesday.

Absolutely Love this museum and the annual Indian Market. Be sure to visit all the galleries up stairs and downstairs. So much to see and take in. Cafe is great to eat at too.

Set in downtown Indy, this museum offers artwork that depicts Native Americans, and thankfully some by Native Americans, from the last several hundred years, along with balanced and unbiased analyses of where the inspiration would come from, how many pieces were used as marketing to attract people to move West, and segments about other cultures that came in from throughout Asia. I was particularly enthralled by a three piece painting that was of a landscape of what looked like a segment of the Grand Canyon, as well as the multicultural segment, focusing on the lives of immigrants from Eastern countries such as China and India, to name a few, and the challenges that they faced in those times.
Ticket prices are reasonable, and if you park in the below ground garage, they validate, which was really nice. My wife and I were there for several hours and it cost less than going to the average movie.

Very elegant building and grounds. I visited for the Indian Market & Festival and enjoyed everything iffered. The food was good, and the art, jewelry, clothing, and storytelling were outstanding!! Parking was super easy, and being inside the garage out of the heat was a definite plus. There was so much information and interesting things to see, I will definitely be back for more. I purchased my tickets online, which was very easy and streamlined, and received event reminders leading up to the event, which was also very helpful.

An amazing interactive experience. There is plenty of beautiful artwork with wonderful backstory. As a museum lover, I would have to put this in my top 3 favorite museums. The displays and signs were perfectly balanced with interactive and educational activities that kept even my 9 year old sister occupied and interested. There is a wonderful place for kids on the canal level with enough activities that kept me, my 14 year old brother, my 9 year old sister, my 78 year old grandma, and my 75 year old grandmother stimulated, intrigued, and laughing for about 2 hours. We truly had a blast. The Eiteljorg is also very accessible and they provide wheelchairs in the front closet if needed.

Had an amazing experience at this museum! Lots of beautiful exhibits to see, several of which have interactive elements. The downstairs children's area was, of course, my kids' favorite part. But they also loved doing the puzzles they found in other exhibits.
Something for all ages!

Eiteljorg is always a fun way to spend a couple hours. Admission price is fair. Sometimes I think the exhibits don't change out enough and you see tge same ol thing. Some of tge items on display have been there since I had school field trips down there back in the day. They hold a lot of good community events and seem to be good community partners. I like the new photo exhibit from navajoland during covid.
